  1. Dunno if still relevant but I got my hands on a Auorus 3080 Master The Auorus Master has 5 out of the 6 positions populated with POS Caps and one Position with MLCC.
  2. Rig name: Saya Cpu: I7 5820k Gpu: GTX 660 Ti Ram: 16GB DDR4 Score: 0.1 And even with a quick overclock on the GPU i couldn't get above 0.6
  3. I would like to get the keyboard because while the Logitech G15 Gen1 is a good keyboard it is missing mechanical keyswitches... My lguide to repair liquid-damage on a Logitech G15 can be found here: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/10836-how-to-fix-a-broken-membrane-keyboard-logitech-g15-gen1/

  5. Congratulations Linus I think i subscribed back when you did the "MSI GeForce GTX 465 COPPER Twin Frozr Golden Edition" Outdoor-Unboxing.
  6. A water.resistent smartphone - nice The Custom Skin blew me away - just gorgeous hmm it would be funny if Dbrand in addition to this awesome giveaway would do something like those fractal sponsor-spots^^.
  7. The clean look of the phone is just awesome.
  8. hmm just stumbled upon this: looking at the waybackmachine it seems that older versions of the truecrypt-website are blocked. http://web.archive.org/web/www.truecrypt.org Translation: Accesserror The Access to this content is blocked. Blocked Site Error
  9. ...who thinks increased production value decreses the fun-to-watch-factor at some point? (just a quick paint-drawing) It might just be me but the current R4 unboxing did kinda remind me of the funny LTT-Videos back in the day. Now it seems that they are scripted to perfection and imo that makes them less interesting and feels less genuine. I bet some folks will remember those days where linus was hanging a cam from his neck and was using a mini tripot to "fix" it while he was making unboxings at home. That was far from being perfect but it was way more personal and -for me- more fun to watch than some videos with lots of shiny b-rolls. I am not saying that everything should be as is was back then. But I think that it wouldn't hurt if there were some "old-style" unboxings again (for example "park-bench-unboxings" and stuff like that). Btw. I'm aware of the fact that Linus has to keep a certain level of perfection to attract sponsors.
  10. Internal: Samsung 840 120GB for OS WD green 1TB for data WD green 1TB for steam games and user profiles (C:\users is linked onto this HDD) WD green 2TB for anime-stuff #1 External (Sharkoon Rapidcases): WD green 1.5TB for anime-stuff #2 WD green 1.5TB for anime-stuff #3 WD green 1TB for anime-stuff #4 [dunno the brand] 1TB for other random stuff Why so many external HDDs? Over time i got more harddrives and at that time i had a raid 5 array of 3 1TB wd greens for anime #1 and i wasnt able to put any more drives inside my case. and since i dont have a nas to put them in i use external Cases) and why WD? over the time i got through some brands of HDDs (samsung, Seagate, Hitachi...) and i was let down by them every time (good thing i had backups) Well i also had some WDs die on me but that was after over 20,000 Hours + they were running like 15 hours a day tightly packed in a RAID 5 array (not the best place for WD greens).
  11. Im using a netbook i had laying around to let the playlist loop.
  12. I do download games! Stuff like COD where you get ripped off when you buy it (60$ game + pay for DLCs -> NOPE) I started pirating COD after they introduced the first DLC (Mappack) for COD 6 that you had to pay for. I won't change that until they start to produce a good COD again where the mappacks are free and where there are dedicated servers again. Do not get me wrong i do buy games too (i have over 150 games in my Steamacc) But imo the gameindustry has to learn something: they cant get away with bad games anymore. I payed money for games like Portal / Portal 2 or Antichamber but i will not buy a new COD unless they improve it... Improvements like free DLCs, dedicated servers and stuff like that. Just look at TF2 that was released in 2007. Now its a free 2 play game and it still gets FREE updates. (ofc you could argue that by now its a hat-simulator) Regarding Music: im not really interested to keep my collection up-to-date since there arent as many good somgs as there were a few years ago. But if i come to like one song i usually proceed like that: - is it too expensive - is it only available on itunes if one(or both) of those two points is(are) true i gonna download it somewhere else I do not pay for movies/Series A ) because i only watch Anime B )most of those doesn't get licensed here in germany (and crunchyroll doesn't enable most series here too) C ) if an anime gets a license it usually just trash (like Highschool of the Dead) and the good stuff (like Steins;Gate) doesn't get one but from time to time there will be a exception of the rule - like Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki -> which i will get when its getting released at the end of July. I bought my Windows 7 Ultimate and for everything else most of the time you can find a free program that does the same thing as the program you have to pay for (DU Meter [22$] vs NetWorx [FREE]) And for Streaming vs Download: with streams you are always bound to a fast internet connection and if you are searching a specific series you watched its kinda hard to remember where you could have watched it while with downloads you can always copy the stuff you want on an external HDDs and take that with you and if you search something you only have to remember on which HDD you saved the file
  13. first of all the usual things i guess: - use prime 95, furmark and memtest to make sure that your system is stable - watch the temps while doing that - clean your system (dust is the enemy of any PC) - check recently installed programs (AV-Programs f.e.) - check running processes and autostart - maybe even check the hdd usage while gaming (stuff might not be loaded fast enough into the ram if the HDD is already working at 100%)
  14. WD is awesome and not just because of this giveaway - i only use WD-drives for all of the PCs i build
