  1. How could that have gotten in there though, I haven't taken this computer apart in a few years at least. If that started the problems, why would it just show its face now and not before?
  2. Hi all, I've been having some issues with I'm assuming to be my RAM. This morning I ran MemTest86 for about 20 minutes on all 4 sticks with about 1500 errors. I then started to take them out one by one and after the first error I would cancel the test. All 4 sticks failed. Then I threw in some old Hyper X RAM that I had taken out a few months ago for my current fancy RGB sticks. It didn't even launch to the test. I again took them out one by one with the same result of not making it to the test. So I thought why not, put in my spare motherboard and it wouldn't even make it to the BIOS screen. So I put everything back together the way it was this morning, and now I've got no errors and its been running for about 50 minutes now. While I was in the process of switching boards I did notice that on contacts for the CPU there was a little black patch of some foreign material, so I took a Q-Tip and cleaned that off. Could that be what was causing my issues? Other than that I don't have any ideas of what changed to cause all my errors to go away. Give me your thoughts on what the issue might have been. Thanks.
  3. Hard Tubing baby . But I could give that a shot
  4. If it wasn't liquid cooled I would but because it is its a huge PITA.
  5. I tried DDU yesterday afternoon, and my PC hasn't moved for like a year and a half, is it possible for the GPU to unseat itself?
  6. Hi, I have what I think to be a failing GPU. I'll be working on something or playing a game when I hear the Windows Disconnect Noise, then my screen says No Signal and I have to restart my computer to get it to come back. This morning when I started my PC the screen was at 640x480 resolution and the picture was black and white. These problems started 2 days ago. I also have the most recent nvidia drivers. Let me know what you think might be going on. Thanks
  7. Are to talking about the Coaxial cable that goes to the rear of the modem?
  8. Got my first nice car back in March, 2014 Camaro 2SS 1LE. Current plans for the spring are; Cam, Headers, Cold Air Intake, and if my budget allows some 260cc heads.
  9. Hi all, my apartment complex sent me a letter saying that my internet speeds have been increased at no charge to me. It went from 25 mb/s to 50 mb/s, and that got me interested. I ran some speed tests using wifi and I would get the 50 mb/s as advertised and then I would run those same speed tests using a 100 ft Ethernet cable. My router and all that is in my living room and it is the only spot that it can go. So using the 100 ft Ethernet cable my download speeds went down to on average 2 - 3 mb/s. The upload would be about the same on both tests and the ping was higher using the Ethernet cable. Now my question is, Is the Ethernet cable too long? I've read that if a cable is over 150 meters it can reduce speeds. I'm fine with running the wifi as I don't like seeing the cable run through my apartment, but I feel like the Ethernet cable should be just as fast. If it matters my modem is the Netgear CM700 and my router is the Netgear Nighthawk X6
  10. I've ran Windows 10 Unlicensed practically since it came out, when I built my Skylake system back in 2015 I ran Windows unlicensed no problem, and now 3 years later and a bunch of upgrades I'm still running it unlicensed.
  11. Ahh, I see what you meant. I don't think a bottom mounted radiator like that is a very good thing, I agree with you that it would might be starved for air. But anyways, thank you and I thought having a PC in the living room would be good for when I have family and friends over, we can play with VR and do some multiplayer stuff.
  12. And here is a picture of where its home now is
  13. Well guys, it's done and I must say it looks real nice. I wish I would have implemented more orange, but it looks good either way.
  14. No it is actually a top mounted radiator
  15. Alright guys, I've gotten the case back and I have also gotten the cables from CableMod. I've also started putting it together and it is a VERY tight fit in some spots haha.
  16. Yeah I didn't think I was going to paint it either, about a week before I got it I remembered that some of the case is white and some of the case is black, and I want an all white case so I just decided to powder coat it haha
  17. Well I got the case in yesterday, and took it to a local place to get the parts of the case that weren't white, powder coated white. They said they will have that done by the middle of next week. So after that gets done all I'm waiting on is the custom cables. I might just build it without the custom cables and when they get here I will put them in. That would probably make it harder but I really want to see this PC done. Till next update
  18. Bought the custom cables today, I went to look to see how much they would be and saw they had a 4-6 week wait on them so I just made the cables the same length as the ones that come with the PSU. They might be a little long but hopefully they aren't too long. So now I'm just waiting on the case and the cables
  19. That is correct I didn't have any liquid in the monoblock for the CPU. As long as you don't have the pc on for a long time you don't need any liquid in the block. As for the white RAM sticks they should fit in well with the rest of the build. The fittings and the case are white.
  20. Got the parts in that I ordered earlier this week. I didn't include this in an update but I did send my CPU to Silicon Lottery do delid it. Got it back and put in the board and put the monoblock on, and then tested the parts. They all tested out too! Just waiting for the case and then the custom cables.
  21. Hi all, its been a while since I've updated this, but today I bought the rest of the parts I needed besides the custom cables. I am still waiting for the case to get here before I order those, so I can get the correct lengths of the cables. I changed the WD Blue 1tb to a WD Black 1tb that i'm pulling out of my other build. The fittings also changed from Primochills UV Orange to Primochills Sky White. I decided to go with Mayhems Orange dye as well. I also went with the Corsair RM 750x and not the RM 650x to have a little more wiggle room for power.
  22. It will be sort of how this picture is, my pump will be in the "basement" along with the drain port, it will only be 2 fittings down there so its not like I'm gonna have a bunch of tubing running through here, just the inlet and outlet tubes.
  23. Got the GPU in today, early next month I'll order the PSU, the RAM, and the storage. I'm probably going to change the fittings to Primochill's Sky White fittings, and not use the UV Orange ones, and then the fluid is going to be Mayhems Orange dye, the same stuff Jayz used a previous build of Skunkworks. I also might go with glass tubing instead of the PETG I thought I was going to use. I'm undecided on the glass yet though. Also included in this pic are the random Bitspower fittings that I purchased from a local guy, if I use any of these fittings they will be underneath the motherboard tray, so they will be hidden. I'm going to wait to order the custom cables till the case gets here so I can get them in the right lengths.
  24. I didn't even know that, I just bought it cause it has an HDMI port on the back of the PCB, but that is nice to know, thanks.
