    Update IV

    NCASE M1 has arrived!

Honestly, I was planning to wrap the case in Matte Black but the silver is just so beautiful..
Still plan on doing a tempered glass side panel mod though, I want to show off the beautiful components. Seeing as all of my components are silver / black / grey, I think they'll fit this colour nicely!

Also, EVGA are sending me a new BIOS chip for my Z170 Stinger Motherboard with the Updated firmware to support Intel's new Kaby Lake chips, so this build will now have a 7600k over the planned 6600k. Seeing as Skylake chips increasing in prices by the week (who knows..), I think this is a sensible decision. Plus being one of the first NCASE M1 owners with a Kaby Lake chip will be pretty cool.

Got some more shiny things from today's shopping spree and there are some more goodies in the post to enjoy tomorrow!

I still don't know why Aquaero's are supplied with some obsolete prehistoric mounting thing, and a... screen. But anyway disregarding that stuff what's left behind is rather awesome.

For an unknown reason I also decided to purchase these old fashioned gigantic mechanical things.

I will admit however they do have some strangely satisfying qualities to them. At the price however they should, even now i'm confused as to why I needed 12TB or why this system has 26 times more storage than my last one, overkill, maybe?

So time to start loading everything onto the backbone of the case, the Aquaero + Heatsink was simply 4 black M3x10mm screws, not the originals but far more in keeping.

Then the hard drives, I wasn't about to add some giant rubber monstrosity but just to give them a more secure and tactile home I did use some little vibration dampening washers.

Everything fitted neatly just as planned with the 3 devices evenly spaced over the height of the case.

This was good, I can't wait for the post...

    Some more stuff arriving:

Not really sold on the reservoir placement. I might see if it will hold ok with a single bracket and mount it off the crossbeam halfway down the case, and move it in towards the middle a little bit more. It's current position means it's pretty hidden once the side panel is on.

Also looking at the shipment tracking, that last of the water loop stuff should be arriving this week.

    GPU blocks!

Nickel so as to fit the theme

Now this I'm excited about, it's a THOR monoblock.  You may remember that originally we were going to make our own?  Well it turns out Bitspower made one already, which is great as it would have been a lengthy process turning that concept block into a viable one.  That said, since it's EOL there wasn't a clear one in stock.  I'll likely have to design a new top for this out of clear acrylic.

All assembled the block is rather smart

    Love all the nickel

Violent Color mini ITX build log:

Hello! I am in the process of cleaning up my first PC build in a long time. With this build, I decided that I wanted to try out a small form factor, and keep things simple. The skull theme is something that is a part of a project I am working on, so that is why you will find it throughout. I consider this first phase to be complete, and am working on getting all of the aesthetics complete before purchasing a graphics card, as I am still not 100% sure what I want to do on that front.

    Specs are as follows;

    Motherboard: Asus Maximus VIII Impact
    Processor: Intel 6600K
    CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX
    Memory: G.Skill TridentZ 16GB (2x8GB) 3000MHz
Video Card: Gigabyte 980 TI Xtreme Gaming (Planned)
    Storage: 500GB Samsung 850 Evo, 1TB HGST Travelstar 7200RPM
    Power Supply: XFX XTR 550W
    Case: Phanteks Evolv ITX
Case Fans: Thermaltake Riing RBG 140mm
    Monitor: Acer Predator X34 (Planned)

The case will be vinyl wrapped in 3M Matte black, and I will be re doing the skull on the front panel in gloss black. The pink skull on the H100i GTX was just a placeholder, as you can see in the photo below I have sanded off the paint, and will be painting this to allow just the skull to shine through with the light. Due to the fact that the USB cable from the Corsair doesn't fit on the Impact board, I had to tear it apart and completely re-wrap it, but I still have to figure out how I am going to plug it onto the board without a USB2 header.

I am also in the process of dying my paracord a few different shades of gray, which will be part of my grayscale sleeved cables, among a few other small touches. I will also be painting all of the red components dark gray, which will complete my grayscale coloring of the entire build. This will allow me to change the color of my LEDs to whatever suits my fancy. Stay tuned for updates!

    Update

A Happy New Year everyone and sorry for the lack of posts lately but i'm back with some new pics for you
I'm currently working very hard on the project and don't find much time to take pictures since i want to finish it by wednesday.

The acrylic parts on the inside of the case are almost finished and will be painted tomorrow. BTW everything is cut by hand, no CNC mill/laser!

    mhmm.. that feel

    Stay tuned!

My friends, it's time for an update!

Behold the mighty triple screen setup:D or let's call it the triple screen compatible monitor stand. I dont actually own 3 proper 4k screens yet but we'll get there.

I started with a huuuuge piece of steel. This sucker was 1800x120x12mm and really really heavy. Luckily weight is not a real concern for me. Strenght and quality far outweighs anything else.

Point here is that I can have as many screens as I wish without it looking wierd. The "sidemonitor stands" are detachable so they will not be in the way whatever setup im running.

    Max screen size is 32inchesx3

Hello and welcome to my build log!

To make long story short my current system is C2D E8400 + 9800GTX+ soooo I'm long overdue for an upgrade.

Color scheme I am planning for this build is mostly black and white with maybe some orange accents to make it alive a little bit.

    Parts:
CPU - Intel 6600K Cooler - NZXT Kraken X31 Motherboard - MSI Z170A Krait RAM -Kingston HyperX Fury Black DDR4 8GB (2x4GB) - 2017 added another 8GB kit. SSD - Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB HDD - Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM GPU - Sapphire R9 390 Nitro Case - Corsair Air 540 (duh) PSU - EVGA G2 750W Fans - Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition Vague plans for the future (can't spoil everything right now, that wouldn't be fun )
Getting the parts - hopefully tommorow if everything goes well, depends on the shop. System validation - Testing the parts, building the PC, stress tests, benchmarks all that good stuff. Painting part of the case - you'll see. Cable extensions - Getting sleeving supplies is also not exactly easy in my country, mostly not much sleeving to choose from. I am open to sleeving sponsor offers though.
Huge shoutout goes to @1Scotty1 and @QueenDemetria that helped me consult some HW choices. Honorable mentions for people that knew about this way before I had the money @AlexStriz @Nup
I'm really sorry if I forgot about somebody, don't scream at me please.

I hopefully add some pictures tommorow if everything goes well, thanks for reading folks.

Little teaser of things I done so far.

    Hello dear readers,

First off I failed and posted this on the wrong forum thread. Im sorry linus!

This build has been on sweclockers.com a while but I felt like I had to reach a bigger audience so here goes.
A bit over a year ago I started with my first major modding/custom project. The idea here is to make a seriously hardcore hardwood and steel computertable which looks effortless yet elegant. You'll be the judge of the result but let's get started shall we.

    Parts:

    CPU:    I7-5960x
GPU's: 3xgtx something (depending on what I can get my hands on when I install the parts)
    MoBo:  Rampage 5 extreme
    RAM: Dominator platinum 32 gb
    PSU: Corsair ax1500i
Storage: 16 TB hdd space with 5 ssd. 1 with os and 4 in raid 1.

    Watercooling:

    Dual loops
Radiators: 2x monstah 560 superthick rads, 1x alphacool 360 60mm thick rad, 1x 140mm 60 mm thick rad All in push pull.
Pumps: 2x d5 vario with ek clear plexi top. Pvm controlled.
    Reservoir: Custom dual loop
Fittings: too many to count (might do a list later)
Tubing: Ionized copper and hardbent acrylic tubing.
Extras: 6 temp meters loop flow indicators etc.
    Fans: 24 Noiseblocker pk2s.
Fan controller: Lamptron fc something with them circuit bords to connect 1 radiator per knob + 1 knob for each waterpump.

    Frame and build:

20mm thick quadratic steel with 3 mm plate steel.
Wood is a mixture of birch and mahogany.

    Sponsors:

    None so far.

Started off welding a basic frame to get ideas flowing.

Radiator "space"     First order arriving     One of the monstah 560 radiators with the fans on it     looking at this drawing it might be hard to believe were gonna get anywhere with this build but its fiiiine:D     after some word welding and sheet metal work I ended up here. With a place for my legs and the mounts for the side 360 rads (60mm thick)     From another angle.     Center console with gauges for temp meters and pumps. Will probably get this covered with leather or wood as well       Psu Mount. Worth adding is that I need to add rubber between all "moving" parts so the psu and pumps are therefor not welded to the frame but have separate supports where so I can soundproof them better. Again soundproofing parts with a 20dB output is a bit excessive but might as well.     And to the woodwork then. It's in its infant stage but what I did here is a guy helped me glue birch together and then drag it through a machine I dont know the name of. What I need to do is make them into the round nice wingshapes im looking for. I'm looking at a solid 200 hours of sanding and polishing here but:D
This is the wood for the front panel and the short sides. Dimensions for the table btw is 1650x780x190.

Hi again, still working with the wood but here's my new atx tray.
    The caselabs sm8 something

So I've been working on the profiled wood. This longer than expected and I still have a lot of sanding to do but I feel like sharing the results.

This is 2 out of 3 panels. The longer one being the front and obviously I need to cut holes for the fans and whatnot but it's getting there.

Here's some pictures of the upcoming reservoir. Sorry for the lack of updates but I've been very busy.
Anyways the reservoir is a dual loop idea where it feeds and takes from the same res even though it's 2 separate loops and pumps.

Started to get the legs done for the table and lathing the mountjoints for the triple screen setup. Loving it

    Some lathing for the lathers

And the table is ALIVE with legs. There's some angle grinding and polishing to do but it's getting there.

    Next update after christmas!
