Carey is a good experienced guy. Learned a LOT from him. Ten times as more in depth information and tutorials on cool stuff and how to build computers. Hands down.

But Carey Holzman has proven that it doesn't do anything. Have you watched the video?

If it was that conductive it would have shorted the board out

I agree with Enderman, Niko. One thing that helped me was powerlifting. Lifting hevey weights gave a way to release a lot of energy, and I really loved doing it. I listhen to some Sabaton band music, heavy  metal songs about historical battles and wars. "Staying busy" as many say or "just snap out of it" or "just be happy" just DONT work when your brain is rewired during depression. Aside from staying busy which is just ignoring the problem and avoiding it, analyze it or do something you just love. In my case that was Listening to Sabaton, weight lifting, and gaming here and there.

I have a Nexus 7 2013 too. I usually use it for watching YouTube when I'm too lazy to go on my PC. As well as the occasional twitch stream, netflix, watching movies via plex, going on LinusTechTips.com and other sites. Overall, Media consumption like everyone else said.

I watch both Carey and Linus. This may be true, or it may not.
At least he gave Linus a good rating. ;-)

Unboxing - you unbox a product and show its content. Talk about it a little too.
Overview - you may unbox it as well. Here you show the features of the product.
Review - you spend a few days with the product, if not more. You tell how well the feature is carried out, the bad, the good, and the very ugly.

Being paid by someone is different. I never really seen Linus give a 10/10 to something. For example, the Fractal Case got ratted out so bad. He had complaints about the 450D, which were minor, and the person form corsair made arguments that defended corsair's case, which actually made sense!

    Anyone agree?

Alright than. This is my setup, the L-Shaped desk can be found for $60 and the chair for $70 in staples. Another recommendation is going for a wider (non L-shaped desk).

Arshdeep reacted to dizmo in $30 VS $60 Mouse HOW IS IT THAT CHEAP???
It's not a scam by any means. Simple fact is that there's something called brand recognition and it will affect the cost of products.
Corsair has a better known name, so they can charge more for their products. People will pay it.
Here, take this as an example:

Has never seen the product, and is basing build quality on a picture. Absolutely no logic to that at all, but that's what a majority of people will do.

The Corsair mouse seems to have a better sensor. Whether or not you will make use of that is a moot point, it's in there and that's why they feel they can charge more for it.
It likely has better reviews simply because of the price.

Interesting find though. If I lived in the US I'd probably order one just to try it out. Can't really go wrong for the price.

I thought i'd make a thread about how we buy our computer mice
And how much luck we've had with that way of shopping

Im doing this because im interested in how the majority does their shopping in an age of amazon and online only stores
So feel free to vote in the poll

Personally i walked into the nearest trusted store that sells peripherals and i just flopped my hand down on a few different mice until i found one that i liked.
I have massive hands (Size 11 gloves are pretty damn tight on my hands)

I recently got a hold of an IBM Model M, this one in fact:

I was wondering what mods I could do on it? Maybe strip it and get it professionally painted? USB cable mod?
I was lucky enough to buy two more for a similar price, so one is being modded for science!

Let me just explain what's the difference between 7.1 and Stereo Headphones, before the constructive Yes/No posts take over.

Headphones are judged (in the most basic way) by the size of the driver lateral to the cups.

The bigger they are, the higher the range frequency is, and the more precise reproduced sounds are.

In stereo headphones, a single driver occupies the whole cup size, and therefore, you'll be getting max. quality. (not to forget that 7.1 Dolby can give off a perfect impression of 3D depth)

In 7.1 headphones, instead of having 1 driver occupy all that space, you have 3 smaller drivers in each ear cup, as well as an additional Bass (which is often external to the headphone).
You will be getting hardware originated 3D depth.
And because of the manufacturing imperfections, it's impossible to line up all the frequencies so that they align perfectly in order to produce accurate interference free sounds.

What you will perceive (but very very slightly) is a small background noise coming from nowhere but interference.
True 7.1 headphones have no use when they are worn as a headset, but tend to be better than the others in Speaker mode where the 6 speakers (with often low impedance) will be able to push higher amplitudes of sound, and give off a small impression of depth.

Now, to come back on topic, the Astro A40 is a wonderful headset for gaming.
It has been tuned to be the most responsive around the frequencies that are the most depicted in action games (particularly highs and lows) but tends to fall out a bit on the mids.

Although listening to classical music/ traditional instruments / careful editing might not be the best use for them, they excel in bass heavy songs, electro...etc as well as games.
(let me add that not a single headset can perform greatly in all music fields. A headset that excels in classical music will not give you the best experience in games and other music genres)

The Astro A40 are not True 7.1 headphones (luckily), so don't worry about all the disadvantages that come with True 7.1.

TL;DR: Yes, the Astro A40 is worth getting.
