  1. *** Thread locked *** As per OPs request.
  2. @AllNateLong, this has split from another thread as per request from that threads OP. Original https://linustechtips.com/topic/1524594-average-support-response-time/ As for your notion about phone number, that probably wouldn't work for most and would require hiring couple extra people just to man the phone queue. For one, it would be only operated on working hours on business days. It would also be somewhat cheap for only Canadians (maybe not even all Canadians, idk how the regional call charging works). For anyone outside of Canada, there will be extra charges which is why anyone not from Canada would probably either prefer online or whine about prices. As for 48h if thats what they state as aim for responses, thats really quick considering how small company they still are. That means that either they have enough people to do it. Or that they do 2-shifts. As any normal smaller business would state it as 3-5 business days. Which will give positive feeling for any customer when they get response faster. Your situation probably sucks. But unless your order was gift to someone else, it does fall to "things happen when humans are involved" bin.
  3. There are other factors. Like I know how ping works. I don't know how Fortnite handles connections. It could be that you are actually connecting to VPN which equals ping to all. Which means that you don't see ping from you to server, but from VPN location to server. Which would explain why it varies so much. But overall, as long as its under 150ms and you don't get any lag (yes, this is the only situation where lag is the correct description), don't worry about it.
  4. Forums are operated mainly by people who aren't employed by LMG. That means most moderators and admin (yes, Mortis is as unpaid contributor as rest of us). Floatplane devs do stuff for the forums, and they are the ones handling LTTStore as well. I'll tag @LMGcommunity if they want to make a statement regarding this. As per forums, data collected is outlined in Privacy Policy.
  5. Still no developer blog either. I think this was addressed recently with some merch message. * goes through timestamps dump * https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYoWAjUAI7A&t=5231s 11/04/22, Luke says they have contributed to projects and most likely will continue to do so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boPRXV0VmEk&t=11113s 03/03/23, Luke says they are contributing to projects, but not releasing anything their own yet. This is emphasized later on same show with "TBD" on FP and Labs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-llzV_3LaE&t=17009s 04/07/23, Development blog most likely is nope as Luke wants to keep devs on developing and not stressing over releasing content. Later same show about using community contributions, to which answer is still TBD.
  6. Please could you outline the issues you are having? While background is good, it also makes it harder to give help on specific issues. On top, seems like you have some bad experience with drivers. With Win10 and Win11, you can install most drivers from Windows Update itself. No need to go hunting drivers. If after updates are finished you are still missing functionality or have issues, then go to manufacturers site. With drivers, there are sometimes bugs. For you those seem to come in form of crashing games. You can usually fix them by reinstalling driver or trying one version older. Pro tip: don't constantly update drivers. Thats sure way to introduce more possible issues. Some apps not opening? I don't quite get your explanation there. You want to open AMD driver software, its running in system tray, but after that I get lost. It doesn't show menu on right click? Or doesn't open with double-click? Or both? Single click only works if app supports it. If it still doesn't open, I would go ahead and reinstall driver and do it with clean install to remove any issues.
  7. BIOS is your motherboards firmware. It isn't part of Windows nor does it install as piece of Windows, unlike drivers for your GPU for example. It might show your motherboard as new component and prompt for re-activation in Windows. But other than that, the two aren't connected.
  8. You need to select audio mixer as audio source for the stream. Possibly multiple if it shows up as multiple devices in your Windows audio control settings. If you post your streaming settings, we can check whether they are correct setup. Also make sure you have audio mixer enabled as audio recording device on Windows, otherwise it won't show up. The help pages on Razer site give good basic knowledge. If you want to get beyond that, videos on how audio mixing using virtual mixers or physical mixers for streaming/podcasting situations is probably the best way.
  9. @Menazeen, your thread has been moved to Off Topic. We only allow external surveys on Off Topic, regardless of the subject matter.
  10. -> Moved to Peripherals Literally any furniture store. They sell cushions and pillows people usually use with couches or armchairs. Those are your best bet and as with anything to do with comfort, you are better of trying first at store than buying blindly over the internet.
  11. -> Moved to Laptops and Pre-Built Systems Please post to correct subforum to get best possible help. Asking for non-gaming related questions in gaming sections is not going to give you best possible. In case you don't get any replies, I would recommend that you talk to your professors about what kind of machines they are using. Some requirements are software specific, like whether software uses GPU for rendering or not (not was the answer to that just 3 years ago).
  12. In recent build livestream Linus said that they were planning to buy actual firetruck for April Fools video. So don't put anything past them.
  13. This was addressed before: With ads using LTT video spots, there's always high possibility that company has paid LMG for external use of the spot and/or even commissioned LMG to produce the video. Like Cisco showcase some time ago. If you go back couple of years, there are actual ads made by LMG for hardware manufacturers.
  14. Its upcoming design, so no pricing on international stores yet. Looking at promo pics, it is most likely aimed ad school aged kids and as storage next to office desk. With that assumption and looking at prices of utility carts and drawers with wheels, price is most likely $76-200USD (latter is price for the Uppsell gaming drawer). Moved to Cases and Mods
  15. Are you sure that comes from forum side? And not Chrome, as in being some plugin you have?
  16. *** Thread cleaned *** Pointless bickering removed. If you have issues with any post, please report. Any other posts are considered backseat moderation and thus removed on sight.
  17. Hence why I call diy solutions janky. Not that they are bad, but you always need to do some R&D to get proper end result.
  18. Considering the amount of built systems that get shipped around... Just take out GPU and cooling, pack everything well and get insurance from the shipping company. Moving is expensive, more so if you want to keep things in the hands of professionals.
  19. -> Moved to Programs, Apps and Websites This rides the line with our rules about asking advice to go around network blocks. As this does sound like a block of some sort. Are you paying for the internet yourself and are you controlling the router you are using? Essentially, if you would hotspot with your phone with mobile connection, would it fix this? If yes, then we can't really help since you need to sort this out with those who are in control of the network and/or router. If its country-wide block, any assistance given here will be with disclaimer. If going around country-wide blocks is illegal in your country/region, we will not take any responsibility over the advice given. You will use it on your own risk.
  20. Pretty much any civil engineering, urban deveploment etc. will get automatic thumbs up. Like there was a time when I wondered whether being techie with non-tech first job was oddity in this community.
  21. This is a thing for large arches and upwards. With smaller ones, I think the expectation is that you screw them tight enough and don't put too much force on them. Small arches are 47mm wide, medium 64mm. So if the twisting becomes bigger issue, you could go to hardware store and seek for metal mounting/connecting plates that would be wide enough.
  22. Thats 2nd easiest part. Metal plates from 50mm width upwards is very standard hardware for connecting 2 pieces of something. So that and magnets you can get from any hardware store just like that.
  23. No worries, I was using you as example. I assume they have that apology ready in case some replies will take longer than week.
  24. This will not work. Any drive can only have one raid set up at the time. So since partition 1 already has raid0, it can't have raid1 also. Meaning that it would need to have software backup to secure data.
