  1. Since it isn't well covered, you can be forgiven. But as noted above, Creator Warehouse as in the designing, prototyping, quality control and selling of LMG merch is already its own sister company. Its head is Nick Light (same way Luke is for Floatplane). From your post, only benefits for signing as customer of something bigger is cheaper bulk prices on shirts. Maybe selling or producing other creator merch (both of these are already a thing). It is bit funny since you say cheaper shirts and same time mention bad quality of generic merch. The main reason for Linus to stop with cheap bulk shirts and design/quality control externally was quality. As for the price, $20 for a shirt is $5 higher than what good quality shirt costs. Consider it being merch and being something creators use to fund their existence. You pay $15 for a shirt, then $5 to monthly sub to creator. Quality shirt will become cheaper over time.
  2. The video is still 1.5 years old... It is ad for sure. But it isn't actively used as such. I don't understand what you mean by "unfair competition" in this case. If LMG would have covered another backbag and would be giving their own more favourable view or placement, sure. But they haven't covered other tech bags, so there's no competition to consider.
  3. The video is not on product page... I don't see point of hiding it on the purpose of one misadvertised feature. If that logic were to applied, all LMG videos with existing mistakes should be removed. And since they have videos about products not on sale, should those be removed also? Actually, I think the SC video still has the note about backbag being free standing. Which was the first redacted feature. So this thread is about year late on complains about video. E: My point being that as the video is not on the product page, it's not problem. Any corrections could and should be handled in video as any corrections done in general. If it would be on product page, then I would agree with you. Then it's supposed to represent product accurately. Otherwise it would count as misleading advertising.
  4. Video is 1.5 years old. Idk about general audience, but I do check dates of reviews and overviews. So expectation is that it's not 100% representation of the product. Adding that it's by company selling and making the product, which automatically makes it an ad. Also, video is not featured on product page. So yes, they could do another. But just for saying current stock is missing dual-layer? Do they need to make 3rd when that's fixed?
  5. This was how some Apple stores and fancy design stores tried to operate here. No price tags, only way to google or ask from clerk. Just that... its illegal. The fancy design store tried it again after getting warning, ended up paying some fees for trying to be smarta**.
  6. Probably not same, but I don't see my points on mobile. (joking, I'm already GM)
  7. -> Moved to Custom Loops and Exotic Cooling Though I think hybrids are old thing. Like AIO on GPUs and whole notion of using AIO and still air cooling GPU. Water heated toilet is new though.
  8. Thanks. I was getting stressed that people here would give totally wrong answers. Like said, the format is in UTM so in meters from set origo. But you need to know which system they are in to know where origo is. Usually it's mentioned with given coordinates. This is important as the East coordinate isn't taken from 0 meridian, but from some certain meridian. Here, most likely 14* as the number starts like that. North is meters from equator and Z/height from standard sea level. GPS devices do accept multiple coordinates. But most just WGS-84 or Google Web Mercator. Unless you have something intended for professional use. (sorry for explanation, I rarely get questions that are about my profession as GIS engineer)
  9. The price is competitive. If you compare it to f2f service and expectation of weekly sessions. Here prices start at €250/mo. It's expensive if you aren't into sports or hard on wanting to get shape or lose weight. The second part is another problem. You giving permission to marketing emails/calls should be clearly marked choice. Not having that, another illegal thing in EU. Though, as you went through, was there option in profile settings for it? If this happens BEFORE completing process, it means that they do collect data while you are clicking through. So with emails and txts, if they continue after you have explicitly asked to stop, that's biggest problem. With smaller ones being aggressively marketing before you tell you don't want to have such contact.
  10. -> Moved to Off Topic Not tech related. Please post to relevant subforum.
  11. Moderation isn't working for LMG. And this is LMG business. We only deal with things happening on forums. Its US-based company that operates under US/Pensylvania laws. While you as EU/German citizen can buy their products, you aren't as well protected with laws since they don't have actual business in your country. In US, consumer protection isn't as big as its in EU or other "western" regions. They do it because they can, there's no active laws telling no and no government run office to investigate, prosecute or fine them. Why LMG doesn't check this kinds of basic things, thats beyond my understanding. They did "secret shop" sponsors some time ago. But basic things like checking how website looks when you are not spoon-fed talking points should be part of first vet of any sponsor.
  12. This is true. Only place on their website where I can find something sort of pricing is at store and with gift cards. Where base is $99 and based on 3-month card, that is for 1 month. With this sponsor, it seems like LMG has taken a nap when choosing sponsors. The T&C of this company is full of pointless copy-paste stuff and then some bit worrying terms. Like about price changes. They do have "we will give you notice", but they haven't given minimum timeframe (which should be 30-days to give time to cancel). Also, the fact that they ask for very personal information BEFORE registering account adding to the prices not being shown. They could be collecting data, and being US company, once your data is there, you don't have control over it. If this would be EU company, most of the stuff above would be illegal.
  13. Saw very early note about custom cables in Crossflow video from couple of weeks ago. It said "at some point". Which in LTTStore-time is probably year or few.
  14. Both are fairly well shielded at this point. So if those protections would be taken away, it could be harmful with really long-term exposures. But overall, even my post is bit sarcastic. Here in Southern Finland, background radiation from Radon in bedrock is the biggest radiation anywhere ever. Next biggest are any X-rays taken, and most people will have atleast one of those in their lifetime (during dental care). I read fairly recent research on mobile phone radiation. Its still there and still long exposures would be a issue. But that would mean having one strapped next to vital organs and constantly communicating for hours on hours. No one is using them like that anymore.
  15. Good point, messed my calculation. For me 2x Essential would be more value as I don't see the point of small, 1 thick cable arches and would need 2x power bar holders. We'll have to wait either launch video or independent review for getting proper answer. They are using neodymium (REE) which is what the strongest magnets are made from. It will take effort to just pull one off the metal or another magnet. But if placement would be in spot where cables provide leverage... They aren't going to hold 15kg of force. There's mention of max supported weight in product description.
  16. Pricing is bit weird there. You get more value with 2x Essential Bundle (36 items) than Home Bundle (29 items) for same price. Where bundles it's usually other way around. Paying more gets lower per price. Essential bundle is really close to what quality cable rack costs here. And as such, it's competitive. Ofc, you can use plastic stuff, or wait few months for ripoffs.
  17. Turns out "very soon" in LTTStore-time is 26-ish hours. https://www.lttstore.com/collections/mcm-all
  18. Microsoft has market lead, not monopoly. If they were, they would have raised prices already. And not made it so that they are actively actually adding features to keep it in that way. Also, the fact that most Windows users are willing to PAY for a license than just pirate it. Even if significant amount just pay for someone else to pirate license for them. For a Linux evangelist, you lack some basic knowledge. Android is based on Linux. I have thought about installing Linux to my laptop. I probably won't daily it. Not when the past couple years of Linux mainstream has been meh to ok. And because the backlash anyone who doesn't want to dive head first to deep end will get. As the problem with Linux community has for the longest time been this odd polarity. They want to be the mass, but don't want the masses there. As in those people who expect things to work and ask stupid questions when they don't work. Another reason why I probably wont ever daily is all the software I know already and would have to find replacements. Sure, most of them already are originally made for Linux. But then there are stuff I use occasionally and just work for my purposes that won't have any counterparts. Plus, first boot on Linux has never been pleasant for me. It feels like some basic configuration to get things to work for someone who can't use defaults on anything takes couple of hours. Whereas new install of Windows is ready to go under hour.
  19. Radiotation you get from every micro-meal you eat is more harmful. Or the flatscreen radio device you help near your vital organs daily.
  20. LTTStore "soon" timescale is starting feel very much like "Valve time".
  21. *** Thread locked *** Trolling is not allowed here.
  22. After review, this same topic was posted week ago. According to our policy, it means the original is first and since it has discussion, this has been merged to that.
  23. The re-design of LTT logo came in 2018. Lawton has had theirs atleast from early 00s. But as the company has been around since 1918, so who knows when they came up with that design. I don't think its copying or anything like that. LTT logo comes from most creator avatars being round. So need for something round is obvious. With using round shape and history of using letters, you don't have that many choices either. Like, here's the first edit of the re-design: Besides that, different region, different industry and different audience. This getting into trademark wars would be equal to Apple suing that one French fruit company or Amazon trying to trademark word Amazon.
