  1. -> Moved to New Builds and Planning *** "has q6600 and is worried about heating" yeah, you aren't seeing anything higher than with that CPU.
  2. This is more about principles and teaching what is the right way to go. Because "they are too big to care" attitude we have all issues with video takedowns, copyright strikes and exteeme-memers claiming images for their own propaganda. The correct way to do things is still to be in personal contact to creator. Not posting to community forums or Reddit asking things.
  3. People do enter wrong numbers and emails to these.
  4. *** some off topic removed *** Mostly as collateral.
  5. Crushing Intel socket pins with wrong placed plastic cover. Total of €250 with broken and replacement mobos. Next to that is ordering from another country. Paid almost €90 for fees without any real gains. Next would be burning fan controller with wrong power adapter. That was only €10.
  6. The customs will still have you pay for it, they aren't stupid. Using courier service means that you might pay for import fees and taxes beforehand, and shipping company will fill out forms saying what the delivery contains. Both you and the seller might be comfortable to commit fraud, but shipping companies aren't.
  7. I have, but it's more about controlling noise than temps. I don't mind having bit higher temps while gaming as long as they are under the 85C hot levels. This is mainly with GPU which goes to 80C with fan limited to 60%.
  8. Actually no, it's the missing ground pin. Both fan header and RGB push 12V max. But for RGB, pinout is 12V, G, B, R. For fan they are 12V, GND, RPM, PWM. I would avoid using both. There are high possibility that header was also damaged.
  9. Cases usually have rubber padding to help ground PSU (and lessen vibrations). As said, airflow is all good.
  10. Yes and yes. With disclaimer that to achieve best results you will need to manually tweak things.
  11. Win7 taskbar. Taken from screenshot.
  12. If the key was retail or non-brand OEM, then calling to MS is your only choice. Anything else is against this forums Community Standards (forum has gotten takedown notices even for sharing alternative downloads for Windows ISOs). This goes for alternative activation methods. Asking where to get grey market keys is allowed.
  13. That's more what I expected. I think some of this is related to automatic fan control, but results are still bit odd.
  14. Amount of blades, curving of blades etc. all matters. Gentle Typhoons were the baseline for silent fans for long time.
