  1. Press the led button on the case and hold it down until the controller turns off.
  2. UPDATE 2: I received the 1070ti today as apparently I got free next day delivery ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . SO bye bye to the RX 480 and HELLO, MSI GTX 1070 Ti: I also game the PC a good clean and found a standoff that a screw got stuck onto which meant I had to get a pair of pliers out and drive the screw out. And the final product:
  3. UPDATE: I just got a 1070ti for £410 that will be coming in a few days . Selling my RX 480 to a friend.
  4. I think I just stole a new MSI GTX 1070ti for £410 . Good ol' ebay 20% off everything day (code PNY2018 max discount £75) As im selling my RX480 to a friend @vKarmaHDv as he is building himself a PC.
  5. welp, it could just be a bug with Vega maybe
  6. my guess then is that your cable is either old, or not up to par. You can try and use HDMI as that now supports freesync, other than that I would try a new cable.
  7. Have you also enabled DP 1.2 under general in the OSD? I can't see why it would change anything but it might have config stuff to let 75Hz work.
  8. huh. When I go to display adaptor properties, under the monitor section it game me the choice between 60 & 75Hz. But usually just works for me anyway as in games like siege it gives me the 75Hz option.
  9. With LG monitors you have to turn freesync on in the OSD under game adjust. then you should be able to run it at 75Hz. p.s. not all games like that set refefresh rate.
  10. Just some news from the UK shop Overclockers UK, they have VEGA cards in Limited and regular (also liquid cooled ones) and they are starting sales Monday, but no price given.
  11. Yeah I did, I should have clarified that . Really there is not much sound dampening in the P400s except it comes with top covers (solid) if you are not using top fans. Other than that it is the same.
  12. Cable Management is very easy in the P400 series as they provide velcro straps built into the case. Also the extensions they are thinner than some but that makes the quite flexible and I got a multi pack that had the 24 pin, 8 pin cpu and a 8 + 6 pin gpu for under £20 - $27 The P400S has sound dampening on the front and left side panel where as the P400 doesn't.
  13. A week ago I ordered a Acrylic GPU support bracket off eBay a UK modder was selling for £12 as I wanted to fix the STRIX sag. Today they came (they were delayed as he ran out of custom bracket screw) and I have to say it was a great deal. Here are some potato pics:
  14. Yeah it's pretty sweet and a great deal and a perfect sweet spot for performance. And oh my does it smack my old machine out of the water rendering in Premiere Pro is nearly 1:1 which is amazing.
  15. Yeah I was thinking to do of something like that, but I have no idea what I would put in there
  16. Thanks, I was thinking about getting another RGB strip but i got an adaptor for my desk one to also use MSI Mystic Light to Sync it. Also I have ordered an Acrylic GPU support bracket to try and fix the SAG.
  17. Hello one and all, This is a build log of my new PC, A E S T H E T I C A and I must say this is a huge upgrade from what I was running before Specs below: Sorry for the Low Quality images they were sourced from Facebook Messenger and my Phone. And anyway I started to get parts in this included a Phanteks P400s TG, Ryzen 7 1700, some sleeved extensions, an MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon and a ASUS RX 480. However this was April of this year and DDR4 prices were ridiculously high and still are but I managed to score some new Corsair Vengance LPX 3000MHz ram for under £100 on Ebay and I also proceeded to buy a Cooler Master, Master Liquid 240 that was on sale too. Also while I was waiting for the RAM to arrive i just couldn't keep my hands of touching the parts and I have to say this RX 480 is MASSIVE against my GTX 660. I have to say this is a FAT stack of components: Somehow I managed to delete most of the images I took after I built it but these are the ones I had left: Moving on to a few weeks ago, I brought an LG 29" 75Hz freesync dispay and a new 1080p monitor for VESA mounts and two Phanteks static pressure fans to replace the CM ones as they had circular frames and aren't that great for rads. I also messed around to get some better cable management as well. Here is the rear side for cable management: And Finally my monitors / Setup: My next planned upgrade is a new PSU as this one is too loud for my liking with every fan running under 1000 RPM I can really tell that it is loud. And possibly a RX Vega mid range card whenever they come out. Thanks for viewing and there shall be a few more updates coming soon!
  18. The price for the G2 is £83 with free delivery.
  19. Which one is better? I know that the EVGA unit is a superflower built PSU and the Corsair is channel well. The EVGA is most probably better but is it justifiable for £10 extra as I don't care if it is semi/full modular. Also which one would be the quietest? that is what I am looking for ATM. (my current one is fine but is noticeably louder than the rest of my system.) Or if you can recommend others in the same price range that are as good or better that would be great. Thanks for any reply.
  20. They really are not a thing in the UK (personal modems), as they run custom firmware. But with FTTC you can use you own router as they are less locked down. But there is no renters fee.
  21. No problem, and enjoy your god speed internet! (for the UK)
  22. Uhh, yeah good luck. The VM router you have too keep or you will not get internet, you have to put it into modem mode then use an Ethernet cable to connect another router. That is the only way it can work.
  23. Basically, he will have a 'great' time trying to find a job or go to uni/college as both somewhat require A-levels (C and above) as they are the baseline exam to move on the next stage.
  24. Due to budget restraints I have been stuck with this case for 4ish years now and i was just sick of it not having any cable management at all. This is going to change soon after Ryzen launches (for lower prices in the used market or just Ryzen outright) and I will build my new system. This led to my 'ingenious' plan, and it included using tin-snips to cut off some press out holes in my case they look like this. Then I proceeded to cover the sharp metal corners with some electrical tape and routed my cables through them with the 8 pin coming out behind the mobo and the 6 pin being a bit of a stretch, but with a decent result. (in my opinion) But now i have a humungous bulge on the back panel xD. I also twist tied a phanteks 140mm fan in the 5.25" drive bays that was going to be used in another mod but failed spectacularly. Also a side note, my god Bulldozer sucks so much even when running it at 4.2Ghz on a crappy motherboard it cannot even keep up with a Phenom II @ 3.2Ghz in cinebench (welp that is Phenom architecture for yah) FX4100 4.2 Ghz = 288 cb Phenom = 320 cb. No wonder that I only use 40% of my GTX 660 in games xD.
