  1. Just wanted to drop by and say I'm so sorry for the whole LMG team(s), I just happened to check YT as the first videos were going live and immediately I knew something was up. This must have been terrifying seeing some nuckfuggets taking over your baby, everything you worked for. Jebus H Christ I can't even imagine how gut-wrenching that must have felt! I hope there is no permanent damage or lasting effects, and I know the chances are slim but I hope the douche nozzles get caught or get owned themselves by someone else. Take care and be safe to everyone at LMG.
  2. Yeah, anything with RGB or lighting in general I always take with a pinch bucket of salt, marketing is always going to shew things. I don't care about the RGB at all, I only care about the plexi quality because of microfractures and the whole design really, how reliable is it... etc. I have just found that the Heatkiller res's which this one seems to be a copy of are actually available with multiport tops in some locations so those are now an option too
  3. I realise I said that while having multiple EK parts in my system lol. I have only chose them because I liked the look of them and the price.
  4. Oh yeah, I'm aware EK is nothing special, I like their customer service (from my experiences anyway), I just mean they would be double the price if they had the EK or BP labels on them.
  5. Thanks for the quick reply, appreciate it. So it's more of a budget brand, hmmm, I guess that makes sense as the materials are quick thick alloy and tempered glass, if it was made by EK or Bitspower it would likely be double the price. To be honest I won't even bother to plug in the RGB, not interested in that... despite how many extra fps it would add
  6. I'm looking for anyone with experience with the Raijintek Antila Pure reservoir or the manufacturer as I've never heard of them. I couldn't find many reviews after a few weeks/months of use, most are just unboxings or install reviews. As it's water cooling I'm very nervous about using brands or hardware I can't find tons of reviews on. Really appreciate anyone's feedback if you have experience with them, thank you.
  7. Boring back story… my new career has increased my working hours at my PC to roughly 70 to 80 hours a week, I'm getting incredible pain and aching in my wrist, forearm, and shoulder, so I've had no choice but to swap to an ergonomic mouse. But for the past 15, maybe 20 years I've always used gaming mice for work because they have 6 to 12 programmable buttons, so I'm currently on my 5th ergonomic mouse in 3 months, a couple of them have been amazing at relieving the pain and stress on my arm but they only have 2 or 3 programmable buttons, and for how I work I just need more buttons on the mouse, 2 or 3 just isn't enough. I've been searching for weeks to find a decent mouse that also has 4 or more additional buttons but they just don't seem to exist, or some really cheap mice do have 4 or 5 buttons but they're not fully programmable, many don't even have scroll wheel tilt, it seems to be L,R,M click and then back and forward thumb buttons, if you're lucky one DPI button. Are there any decent ergonomic/vertical mice out there with 4+ programmable buttons? So far I've tried: Logitech Lift Logitech MX Vertical << Best shape and feel Logitech MX Ergo << Enough buttons but it isn't angled very much so my arm was still aching Anker 2.4G Wireless Vertical DeLUX Wireless Ergonomic << local store had it on sale… It was trash
  8. Looking for someone that owns or has experience with the Core P8 TG as I have a few questions I'm hoping someone could help me with, please. I've seen hardly anyone that has mentioned wall mounting it, except for a couple of reviews on Newegg or Amazon that claim the wall mount bracket is very flimsy and couldn't hold the case on its own let alone when it's full of hardware and water cooling. Has anyone got any experience wall mounting this thing? What is the realistic usable height inside the case to the right of the motherboard where reservoirs would go? I'm trying to work out if it would house 450mm reservoirs with a radiator at the top. On the bottom, I can see that you can mount the radiator and fans on the inside but can you mount a radiator on the bottom under the case with the fans on the inside to minimize the space taken up inside the case Would really appreciate some info from people that have used the case. Thank you
  9. Thanks for the advice and that is good to know about the slight voltage drop. Forgive my ignorance, I have two questions. wouldn't a USB hub have the same issue as it's going to be connected via a 5m long extension cable? I understand if it's powered then I wouldn't have issues with any voltage drop but communication back-and-forth is still going to be through a 5 m long cable. Would a hub cause potential issues with two almost identical dongle is that close to each other, a lightspeed receiver for a mouse and another for a keyboard just a few fingers width apart? I feel like that might actually cause more issues than the long cable but my knowledge of the USB standard is poor As for sticks/SSDs, I'm not too bothered about the speed as anything speed sensitive I'll stand up and plug it directly into the rear I/O on the board.
  10. Oh, yes I completely missed that, so thank you for that info. In that case I might have to go for active cables. But for the main point of it causing significant extra latency because it's 5 or 6 m long, you don't think it would be much of a factor?
  11. I use some Logitech Lightspeed peripherals, keyboard and mouse, and I need to know if my new setup is going to cause an issue, please. My PC is going to be wall mounted with all cables hidden and routed through conduit in the wall. This means I need long cables for everything to reach my desk. The USB cables for the Lightspeed mouse and keyboard receivers will be 5 meters (15ft) or possibly a little longer. If my understanding is correct, even at 5 or 6m I only need USB 2.0, right? It's not high bandwidth so I believe USB 3.* would be overkill, but please correct me if I'm wrong. My main concern is would a 5 or 6m long Passive USB cable cause any significant latency or signal issues? I'm not doing any competitive CS:GO/Warzone gaming so a slight increase in latency wouldn't be an issue, my main use for the system is work, and also gaming but the gaming is more slow-paced RPG style. I'm just worried about it causing high latency or constant dropouts like when you move the receiver too far away and suddenly your cursor starts jumping all over the screen. Has anybody got experience with this, anyone tried using long extension cables with these peripherals?
  12. I should probably add the reason I need to be sure is I need a 6 to 8m HDMI 2.1 cable for a LG C2 display, so it needs to be 4k 120Hz. Looking at cables on Amazon the 1 to 5m cables seem to be marketed as HDMI 2.1, but then as soon as you go above 5m they seem to drop the 2.1 prefix and instead say ultra high-speed and things like that. Then I found 10-15m 2.1 cables that are marketed as true 2.1 but they say they are active and cost $100-200.
  13. I'm really getting confused, I've barely seen any details about HDMI 2.1 so I'm completely out of my depth. Googling tells you HDMI 2.1 can go up to 20 or 25m but then forums and some tech websites say above 5m it has to be an Active cable otherwise it's fake or at least not true 2.1 standard. If it's a passive cable above 5m then it's actually going to be a compressed signal, it might physically output an 8k/4k120Hz signal but it won't have full HDR1000 or 10-bit color... or something like that. But then others say differently, that passive is fine up to 10 or 12m. What is the truth behind this?
  14. Just wondering if it's been requested before and if anyone at LTT mentioned if it's a possibility or nope not happening?
  15. I need a new UPS but I could really use some recommendations and advice, please. Requirements: Must be 1000w output or more (I have a meter on my outlet, at full load with all monitors and peripherals it can pull around 900w from the wall) Must have external battery terminals for Deep cycle / leisure / solar batteries Must be compatible with high capacity 12v batteries; 150Ah minimum, 200-300Ah preferred Nice to have but not essential: USB interface to connect to a PC would be helpful so the PC knows it's on a battery Work fine with multiple batteries in parallel so I could add 2x 100Ah batteries to make one single 200Ah 12v backup (not serial) I've been looking at this one Kemot ProSinus 1200w which has a few good reviews but it's not very well known and doesn't have the USB interface so my PC wouldn't know it on battery which is a shame. Any recommendations or advice would be really appreciated, thank you.
  16. Thanks. It was me being a derp. You have to select DCH type.
  17. Sorry, figured it out the second I posted here - Please remove
  18. Thank you for the info and advice, learned some new stuff, and I might mess around with it just to get the nerd badge but it doesn't seem very worth it after all.
  19. Hi everyone, I have an old Ivy Bridge (3770k) Z77 rig that I'm donating to someone as a HTPC. The boot drive is a decent enough SSD but the main bulk of the media will be spinning rust, 2x 6TB Western Digital Blues (5400rpm) which are pretty slow especially for moving 4k Blu-rays. As I was building the rig I found my 2 old but barely used Intel 530 120GB SSDs. I figured I never had any need for this myself, so why not make their media that bit faster and achieve a new nerd badge for myself. I started looking into it but I guess I'm either blind or being a derp because all I could find is paid for software (30-day trial) and OEM stuff. Is there any simple and free way to set this up?
  20. Hi @Mark Kaine, thanks for the info, appreciate it. I don't know if it's placebo or not but there was another update (hotfix) a few days ago and for me at least the visuals did look better, less foliage flickering, pop-in, and LOD issues so I've been playing again as I frickin' love this game once everything is disabled (HUD I mean) then it's beautiful and can be challenging. The fps issue is still not resolved though, I've had to disable a big chunk of a customer ReShade I made for the game as my fps has dropped from around 100fps on average to barely 50fps, I had to disable a lot to bring it back above 60.
  21. Thanks for the info and advice, I do appreciate it. I've now effectively tried everything that is known to work and as @Geneslaw said it doesn't seem to work, even when I get something to work it won't roll back so we are stuck Oh well, my game still runs but it looks and feels worse. I guess I know now to copy *all* the game files, usually I only backup game files I'm editing or modding. Thanks again.
  22. I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn, Steam auto-updated it 2-days ago and now the game has a lot of issues for me and apparently many others. I spent hours trying this way with the console, deport and manifest trick: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1086279994 Even trying the newer [Manifest] way but it won't download. I've heard there are other ways but I can't find them. I did manage to find DepotDownloader but I have no idea if it's safe and you have to login through it, including 2FA.
  23. Oh my goodness the irony. I couldn't reply due to... No power for 32 frickin' hours!! Thank you, I hugely appreciate the info and advice, that gave me a lot of new insight and info to read up about.
