Did you correctly set up the monitor to wake on signal input? Consult your manual for more information.

As for the drivers, unfortunately driver support for Fermi GPU has been discontinued by Nvidia. The final driver version is 391.35, installing anything later than that will cause that Fermi card to stop working, yet Battlefield requires newer driver to work properly. You can grab a cheap GT 1030 or equivalent to replace the Fermi card.

I just fixxed it by my own, I've had gtx960 for few years at least and when I got it I remember someone said that it supports only 2 monitors.

now I looked from windows screen resolution settings and saw that "one output availible" and already had two monitors connected. now connected the 3rd one and all displays working from same gpu :)

Any idea how much performance I lose by doing this?

I mean I have 40" tv, some old 60hz benq monitor and this 144hz samsung connected to gtx960.

Do I lose like 20fps ingame or not at all?

Well, the Samsung C24FG73 might have it's own sleep settings. You should check those. No idea about the drivers tho.

the display itself has 60hz mode and 144hz mode and dark mode. from display settings there is only contrast, sharpness and brightness settings. nothing else.

I did not found anything in the manual also.

  2. Not sure if this is gpu problem but basically I just got samsung C24FG73FQU display, connected it with displayport to my gtx 960, and my other benq monitor is connected to same gpu via DVI cable.

Before I had two monitors, one with DVI cabl and on with HDMI. I had no problems

Removd the HDMI cable and the display and replaced with that samsung one.

everything is working fine until this samsung monitor goes to sleep mode and from windows settings I cannot see the samsung monitor anymore. I have to manually turn on the samsung monitor and then windows detects it and everything is fine again.

How can I fix this sleep mode problem.

from windows power settings everything is "never"

    I'm using windows 8.1

I tried to google it but did not found anything with windows 8.

There was few windows 10 posts where I had to change some reggit settings but I cannot find them on windows 8.

    AND

seccond problem im having that I cannot connect 3 monitors. gtx 960 supports only two but I have gts 450 for my 3rd monitor.

Nvidia changed some stuff because like 6 months ago, when I downloaded gtx 960 drivers, my gts450 with displays started working and I had 3 monitors working fine.

but NOW I have to first download gtx960 drivers. then I get my 2 monitors working.

Then I have to download gts450 drivers. And I get my 3rd monitor working.

so I get all my monitors working but for example Battlefield 5 starts yelling at me that I have old gpu drivers.

If I downlaod newest gtx960 drviers and install them. I get to play battlefield 5 fine. but my 3rd monitor is not working and windows wont detect it. I have to download gts450 drivers again to get 3rd monitor working again but then battlefield 5 starts saying I have old drivers.

  3. Hello.

I have Asus m5a97 r2 motherboard and on-board sound is not working. It has never worked. Im not stupid but I just cant get it working.

I have all the lastest drivers from asus and every single thing is up-date. But I just can't get sound out from audio jacks. 6 ports, sound doesn't come out or go in.

Device manager does not show up any audio drivers and playback devices is empty, no hidden devices or anything.

    Anybody have idea how?

  4. Any ideas for the front panel? Activity led, power led, power button, where I place them etc.

I dont really want any optical driver because I have not used one for 3 years and I think I dont need one :D

  5. Very interesting design, good luck, can't wait to see the final outcome! :P

What material do you plan to use?

I think i'll use aluminum, not sure yet, something like that. From pictures you can tell that I'm going to use something really thick like wood but no :D

I tried draw very thin but it showed stupid in sketchup :)

There will also be 90 degree rod so the case will be strong.

  6.

seems HUGE, but looks pretty sweet. if you islolate it, and have the back curve up like the front, for a exaust, would be sweet and cut down on noise

I measured my old mid tower height and length and they are the same as here, only the width is more because i will have 2x 120mm fans side by side and still have room :D

The back curve is interesting idea, thanks for that, I will look forward to it :D

    That looks awesome and huge.

How much would I have to pay to get you to make me one too?

haha, I'll make my own first :D

To make it look cleaner and have better air flow, I would isolate the cables and tubing in a small section in the back, like almost every case does.

Other than that, it looks pretty cool. I like how you have the fans on an angle.

    Thanks.

I forgot the tubing :o , I'll think something. Cables will go behind the case

  7. So I am designing new case what I am planing to make this summer.

At the same time when I was making this case I learned littlebit of sketchup :)

Inside there will be 3x 120mm radiator in back panel and 2 air intakes.

The whole case will be sound and air isolated so only intakes are from bottom fans.

Gpu and Cpu are water cooled.

I'm not sure about the colors yet but I was thinking something like white carbon fiber.

There will be some leds and all that cool stuff :3

Any suggestions? Is it even worth trying something like this?

  8. @JorksX

Awesome!. A 360mm rad in that gap (where you have the liquid cooler right now) would be sweet for a liquid cooled build. Just touch up the paint on the front (you can also do accents on the glossy plastic part on the front too. If you have extra metal and bending tools, you can make a meal shroud for the front i/o (5.25 bay) wires or the psu/hdd area.

Those things are just nitpicks though, awesome first mod.

    Good idea.

360mm radiador would be cool but lets think about that when I build the custon loop. Now its sealed and I dont really want to open it because I dont have liquid to fill it again.

At first I tought that I hide the wires under the sound isolating material but I think your idea is better.

  9. The only things id say the problem can be is:

A: Simply windows problem, Use the start-repair and it should work.

B: Bad storage drive, It simply got too old.

C: Faulty PSU, It gives enough wattage to start the bios and such, But when the load becomes anything more than the BIOS and post it doesnt supply enough so it simply shuts down.

Found the problem,  somehow windows tried to communicate with my other hdd what I have only for stuff I need, it has no windows files. Unplugged the HDD so there was only my ssd with windows. And everything booted up normally.

    Wierd stuff :D

    Thanks anyway

  10. Hi!

This is my first build log and my first computer case mod.

    Hope you like it :)

The idea is something like toxic or something like biohazard theme.

    All ideas are welcome.

I bought cheap case just because I wanted to try some things on it. :)

Also this build is very cheap and I will try to make everything myself and not buy new things.

    Case: LC-power pro 927B

    Motherboard: Asus m5a99x r2 evo

    Cpu: amd fx 8350

    Gpu: Geforce gts 450

PSU: I have no clue, got it from school. some 500W

    SSD: Kingston fury 240gb

    RAM: Kingston hyperx CL10 1866MHz DDR3

    Cooler: Antec 650

    Mouse: deathadder chroma

Keyboard: Some chines tuning keyboard xD

    Headset: steelseries siberia v2

PSU and GPU I will upgrade ;)

Also I will make custon watercooling loop when I get littlebit more money.

Case looked like this when I first got it

    61fda1a545.jpg

    First things I did ->

    a6f14e9a92.jpg

Inside is some random motherboard with stock cooler just for show.

    7af166ae05.jpg

Then I started to do some lighting.

    2b5885b698.jpg

    93979c59e3.jpg

Tried some hose just for show again :)

    004c306752.jpg

Now I went grazy and removed everything I did.

    54d63b6d72.jpg

    0f50596fa1.jpg

The sound isolating material was just test, they will not be there when its all finished.

So yeah, I went grazy with my dremel and removed HDD places and everything else what I didnt need.

Now the whole thing looks like this:

    79f08ad509.jpg

    4159dbe7a5.jpg

The paint looks terrible and I think something else. The green fans will be replaces with green led fans.

    19b1862dd2.jpg

    Under the HDD is SSD

    54cc38f682.jpg

I will replace cables and hide every cable as soon as I get my new PSU.

And the sound isolating material will be replaced beautifully again so it hides most of the cables.

Oh yeah, the side panel will have real glass with smoked tint at the end :)

As I said, I will try to make everything myself so no hard feelings :)

  11. Unplug the computer,

    Remove the CMOS battery,

    Wait 20 seconds,

Put in the CMOS battery again,

    Start the computer,

    Boom, Now it should work.

It has happened to me a couple of times, This usually works.

Dosent work. Tried this with jumper but still not working. Cant even boot into safe mode

  12. Hello.

So last night I shutted down my computer and the screens went off like normally. But computer itself stayed on and all the fans everything was on. I thought thatbit was some bug so I did hold down the power button and went to sleep.

Now when I turn computer on, windows 8 logo is just loading, it has been like this like 1h and still loads. Tried to restart it but same thing. Got into windows automatic repair. Same thing there, it is loading loading and now only thing what I see is black screen.

I can access bios and everything but not windows itself.

Any ideas? Should I go with repair win 8 CD?

  13. Well any FX that comes with a stock heatsink (so not the FX9590) does not go over 60, tested it personally but they are loud, all overheating issues are caused by improper fitment or fan control...

Im using artic silver 5 heatsink. the temperatures are exactly the same with 3.8ghz (computer is running fine) or with stock 4ghz (computer freezes after few minutes on load)

  14. Nice. If you want to test for stability try rog real bench. It's not a synthetic load test so it won't possibly damage your cpu like Prime95.

Run it for 1 hour checking the temps. If everything runs fine with alright temps you're good.

I ran your rog real benchmarking and computer froze after 3-4min. restarted it, saw windows logo and crashed, did this like 4 times. then I put cpu back to 3.8ghz and now its working fine.

when computer froze, temps were cpu 33 and socket 52.

  15. Put it on auto and set the clock to default and report back.

Edit: actually, after googling about, seems like the stock voltage for the 8350 is 1.375v. But nevermind, just set it to auto and if it works fine on 4ghz do some stress testing and check the voltages with cpuid.

everything is now on auto but cool and quied is disaled by cpu.

running at 4.0ghz, idle temp is 25, socket is 47.

on load (not stress test) cpu is 34, socket 63.

I'll play few hours and if it chrashes I come back and let you know.

  16. Well, supposedly the "stock" voltages should be Auto/Adaptive. So yeah, try the Auto/Adaptive voltage.

    It is on manual mode

and core voltage is set to 1.363V and NB VID voltage is at 1.150. They dont change from this voltage unless I change them to auto.
