Never mind I see it does have BT but I still have the same problem with not enough USB headers.
-
Does this have Blu Tooth as well?

My mobo has two 2.0 headers being used by front 2.0 USB and front Smart Card reader. Mobo also has front 3.0 which is also being used. So I would need to omit one of those three to accommodate for the WiFi card.
-
The front I/O has a card reader which is taking up one of the USB headers on the mobo. Then its got one 2.0 and one 3.0 USB. I don't know which to sacrifice. I feel that the card reader is a good feature to have for a HTPC in case I wish to pop the SD card out of the camera and deisplay pictures or videos.

Something like this but I need it to be male instead of female so that it can plug into the port on the rear I/O http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200294&cm_re=usb_header_adapter-_-12-200-294-_-Product

I am looking into purchasing this card for my new HTPC build. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813995032&cm_re=gigabyte_wifi_card-_-13-995-032-_-Product First off has anyone had any experience with it worth noting. Secondly, my case is taking up both of my USB 2.0 headers on my motherboard and I trying to find a work-around to route a cable from the usb header on the card to one of my external USB 2.0 ports on the rear of my case. Does anyone know or can anyone help me find the correct adapter?!

I just purchased G.Skill brand. I've heard and read great stuff about it and pretty inexpensive. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=g.skill+2133&N=100007611%20600006069%20600006157&isNodeId=1

You might be able to find something with a better CAS than 11 at close to the same price... Also are you looking for any particular color scheme?

It's not the final list. It's just so I can way options and not forget particular models... I'll end up only selecting one sad and I'm not sure how the noise and temps will be with stock cooler so I like that Noctua cooler. I have heard and read that with an APU RAM speed can better the performance greatly. Especially without a dedicated GPU. -

I am toying with a few different brands of RAM for my HTPC build. Any advice on which to select would be much appreciated. I have heard people have had trouble with compatibly using Corsair. I have not heard of any issues with G. Skills and it seems to be my best bang for the buck. I do not plan on getting the dedicated GPU for quite some time as I do not plan to do much gaming on this. I have heard that faster RAM is better for the APU and these G.Skill sticks are 2133 with CAS9! PLEASE HELP! http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HvnQnQ

Yea I would suggest not going with the V300 SSD and go with a Crucial or Samsung.

Hey guys! I'm in the process of purchasing parts for my new HTPC build and wondering whether to get windows 7 home premium or windows 8.1 full version. I can get windows 7 on sale right now for 69.99 USD, that's 30$ off normal pricing. Also, with windows 10 coming soon I feel it's a no brainer to get windows 7. Just looking for some other opinions. Here is the parts for the build below. Keep in mind I am not going to be purchasing them all right away but I have laid out so possible upgrades for the near future. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/jdidia1006/saved/6vPG3C

I didn't buy paste because I planned on using the preapplied but my buddy thought it would be interesting to check if the paste on my heatsink was sticky
-
Is there a way to upload a picture?
-
OK, so I have a half of a finger print on the pre applied thermal paste on my stock AMD heatsink. Do I need to remove it all and apply aftermarket thermal paste now? Will this cause any effect on the thermal paste?

Is it called dual graphics when you use iGPU and a dedicated GPU?
-
It comes with a L.N.A.

I am also checking out the Noctua NH-D9L. Have you heard anything about that cooler?
-
Anyone know/heard anything about this CPU cooler
jdidia1006 replied to jdidia1006's topic in Cooling
Hi Manny, I am going with the APU because I am not going to be getting the graphics card right away. Also, I have had better luck with AMD in the past as opposed to Intel. I will not be overclocking or doing much gaming for that matter. I am also not sure what your talking about with the case. It does have a front filter for the intake. On a separate note...I appreciate your criticism and opinion but I was simply asking about the cooler. -
Does anyone know or have heard anything about the Noctua NH-D9L heatsink and fan? I am building a HTPC and looking for a nice, quiet, reliable cooler for my APU. Link below is my build. Originally I was going to go with Cooler Master EVO212 but the clearance is to close for comfort. Any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated! http://pcpartpicker.com/p/p6CPHx

Do you suppose that a low pro or slim cooler with still allow me to install my RAM or will it be in the way?
