There aren't any ADSL/VDSL cables  Are you talking about the cable that comes from the wall to your Router or for the cable that leaves the Router and goes to the PC? First is probably a regular telephone cable (since this is VDSL) and the other is an Ethernet cable.

An overclocked FX-8320 has nowhere near the singlethreaded performance of a Core i5-3570, and unfortunately good multithreaded performance (which the 8320 has) isn't always enough.

Oculus' recommended hardware specifications only mention Intel CPUs. Technically a Core i5-4590 is the minimum, but realistically a 3570 should do alright.

Anyway, OP, a Core i5-4690K and an affordable Z97 board should put you in business.

If it worked on a Windows 10 preview disk, but not on a Windows 8 disk, then it's almost certainly an issue with the Nvidia Drivers on the Windows 8 disk. If you download and attempt to re-install the Nvidia Drivers, there is an option in the installation which you can check which will perform a "Clean Installation" this will wipe any previous drivers and install the new ones.
(Also, it would be worth mentioning that it would be good practice, for removing pre-existing drivers, to uninstall the drivers, use CCLeaner to clear out any left over registry values, reboot, and then install the new drivers with a "Clean Installation.")

Also, what driver version does it say you're using? If you go to Nvidia Control Panel, in the lower-left corner of the window, there should be an option for "System Information" If you click that, it will open another window where it will list the driver version. Mine is currently at 353.30.

Set the channel to auto in the router settings. A good router should be able to determine which channel has the least interference and use that. If not, download Wifi Analyzer if you have an Android device to determine which channel is the most crowded. If all the channels are pretty crowded, look to upgrade to a dual band router to utilize the less crowded 5ghz network. A rock stable and fast router would be the Airport Extreme 5th gen and 6th gen which are among the highest rated routers on amazon due to the unrivaled stability (think never ever having the router restart unless you're changing settings) and ease of use. There are "better" routers that offer more features such as the Asus RT-AC3200 or Netgear Nighthawk that look better on paper but you'll eventually run into problems because the firmware they use are generally pretty unstable. A great site to read reviews on routers is SmallNetBuilder.
