  1. Ok, my current boot ssd is kinda small (120gb). I'm gonna get a new ssd then do a fresh install there. In this case is it better to clone the old drive onto the new one then do a reinstall? Or should I fresh install windows on the new drive then migrate the old data over? In the latter case, do I just use a software to copy all the files over? Will my current games and programs run into issues if I do it this way?
  2. Tried installing older drivers and PRO drivers. Same issue, screen goes black during installation and I had to restart my pc. Then windows get stuck in the loading screen after that
  3. Hello, I need some help regarding windows getting stuck on loading screen. This problem occurred twice so far and I am not too sure what is causing it? Using an AMD Vega 56 First time: Windows startup repair fixed the issue Second time: (today) Windows startup repair - failed Window safe mode - can boot into windows Uninstall amd drivers then restart - Able to boot into windows normally While installing new drivers - Monitor blackscreens and never comes on again. After restarting computer then windows gets stuck on the loading screen again With only Microsoft basic display driver - works fine Not sure what's causing this problem, do I need to reinstall windows?
  4. Strange, I am able to manually enable PBO without activating game boost by going into the CPU features tab on the OC page.
  5. Hey guys, I was just messing around in the bios and decided to turn on game boost for fun. HWMonitor reports all core at 4050Mhz @1.3V, however when I try manually setting the values in the oc menu to the same values, it wouldn't even post. Anyone experienced anything like this before? 2600x, MSI b450 pro carbon ac
  6. Another thing is at night when I place them side by side, the download and upload speed is unusually low. During the day it's around 160mbps up and down but at night even side by side, it's only ~100mbps down and up
  7. Yep, during the day time the pair stayed paired no issues. But when it comes to night time it just looses pairing for some reason and this only started a few nights ago. Strange.
  8. No, the electrical usage during that period of time hasn't change which is why this issue is so weird to begin with.
  9. Hey guys, I have a really strange problem which only started happening a couple of days ago. While gaming at night, the powerline adapters suddenly unpaired and I couldn't get it to pair together unless they were place side by side. Even when side by side, the download and upload speeds were really low. However, in the day time it is completely fine and works perfectly. I have an older powerline adapter which I also could not get to pair at night unless they were side by side. I have already tried almost all the outlets in my house but they only pair next to each other. It is really strange because the adapters were working fine the past few years but this problem suddenly comes up just a few days ago. Any ideas?
  10. My bad, for point 1, i meant running the game at 2560x1080, not 1920x1080. Have you tried running games at ultrawide 1080p on your monitor and does the image quality degrade a lot in running the lower resolution? for point 4, what monitor are you running and how far away do you sit from your monitor? Also I'm running a vega 56 so I'm pretty sure I am good to go 1080/1440p ultrawide
  11. Hey guys, I am considering to get an ultrawide monitor but I have a few questions, 1. I read of people playing at 1080p on a 1440p ultrawide, how does the image quality look like running at a lower resolution than native at 1440p? Is it similar to running at lower resolution on a 1080p 16:9 monitor whereby the image has a noticeable deterioration in quality? 2. Is it worth getting a 1440p ultrawide if my main use is gaming ( simulators )? I don't exactly need the best display quality, right now I'm on a LG 24mp59g and I am perfectly content with the image quality on this panel. For my next monitor, I am mainly looking for an ultrawide with 75hz freesync, I am totally fine with the 75hz refresh rate and don't really see the value in going higher. 3. Currently I'm looking at this: https://www.amazon.com/LG-29WK600-W-29-UltraWide-21/dp/B078GL93KG/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=ultrawide+monitor&qid=1570519225&sr=8-3 Seems good enough and it's pretty decently priced. Are there any other similar monitors in this price range / better value ultrawide? I prefer matte screen if possible. 4. I read that pixels on a 1080p ultrawide are quite noticeable above 29". Anyone has any experience on this? I sit an arm's length away from the monitor. I find that my current monitor looks perfectly fine from where I am sitting. Thanks so much!
