  1. Hey guys planning to make a build in summer when r300s launch and i want to go for freesync and amd graphics setup cause it comes cheaper than nvidia's gsync (man that acer predator is expensive) but i wonder since AMD has CPUs aswell if their graphics are better optimised with them, but i really really prefer the intel chip and motherboards please help! (rig gonna game 1440p and video edit too so if u have any other reason why Nvidia is better than AMD or vise versa please say it , thanks)
  2. cool thx a lot , wouldnt the single 980 (or a single 970 maybe) transitioning into pascal gpus would be better?
  3. What about video and image editing? or who knows what programms or software i ll run in 3 years. and fine maybe not 6 years but a good 4-5 for sure can be done and i dont think games can go much further from here , it's not like the previous years when there was room for graphical improvement.See Witcher 3 coming this summer for ex. ofc it can be better but not much.I also state certain parts will be upgraded but please provide positive feedback and let the misunderstanding go....
  4. for one the economical state of each family and place differs and i am not making the market sadly i dont make the market , i would love if with 800 euros you could play the games coming the next 6 years at 60fps + be able to do video and image work and run programming . the 3000 price is the total paid including all peripherals speakers etc.And just so people dont comment to insult i wrote the note JUST to avoid price arguments i see everywhere because people argue themselves with whats the best value and stuff and leave the point. It seems people STILL find stuff to capitalise on and diverge from the point of the post. Of course i would prefer a better economic solution if it is possible i am not stupid if you want to express your affection on the price comment positively and suggest other optimal parts and dont insult people
  5. Hello everyone! Withing this summer i will make a pc to use for programming in computer sciense university , video (and image?) editing and mainly.. GAMING. The builds i have in mind vary a bit and are the following: TEAM Nvidia TEAM AMD Monitor: Acer XB270HU Predator 27" ASUS MG279Q 27" Case: NZXT H440 NZXT H440 Motherboard: ASUS X99 deluxe ASUS X99 deluxe CPU: Intel-core i7 5820K Intel-core i7 5820K RAM: Kingston HyperX 16GB DDR4 Kingston HyperX 16GB DDR4 GPU: EVGA GTX 980 (or x2 970s) AMD r390 (when it comes in june) Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100i Corsair Hydro H100i OS: Windows 7 pro 64-bit Windows 7 pro 64-bit Storage: Intel 750series 400GB PCI-e SSD Intel 750series 400GB PCI-e SSD The builds are separated by the graphics choice and brand using different monitors with ACER brining 1440p IPS 144HZ G-sync while ASUS provides the same but with freesync being 1 reason of the graphics card change. Moreover BOTH builds are going to be upgraded at Q1 2016. either adding an R395X2 or upgrading with PASCAL line GPUs from Nvidia so both cards will be replaced to have a strong grasp over the future requirements but because the build must be done in the summer ,before i leave for university, we 'll stick with their younger cousins for now. So. I really need help choosing the Nvidia vs AMD path mainly considering ALL things going about games being optimised in a certain way or what's bottlenecking what , and all that fuss going on in the internet. Other than that though i am open to suggestions for improvement at anything else aswell , i would really apreciate that . edited: removed a note that created derailed discussions. plus price above is for all things including monitor the pc and all peripharls with it.
  6. hmm thanks a lot everyone for the info , i also just thought i buying a single 980 and upgrade to the pascal version of it next year that could be done too i think.
  7. Guys i am making a build this summer for university ( computer sciense) which i will use for gaming , rendering videos and programming and i have set it up pretty much except the graphics card. I am between TITAN X and 3xx series mainly. I want to use acer's XB270HU Predator 1440p but it has gsync , which i love , but it's limited to nvidia cards thats why i doubt between them otherwise i would have gone with the amd ones since they are cheaper. I will give up to arround 3000 euros (3500 ish dollars? dont know the rates) price wont matter ,which is the big argument out there , so i just want the best card around these lines. ( keeping also in mind the SLI vs single gpu argument plus gsync ) if you also know any good 1440p 144hz ips monitor coming that supports freesync amd will prolly be favored but i really need help on this decision , thanks!
