  1. Oh, ok then, thanks for the link, I'll definetly get the bigger SSD then! Yeah, as I said, I don't care if they run at 144FPS all maxed out, 1080p (or 1200p actually) mid settings is fine with me, I'll get an eGPU later. Thanks!
  2. Nothing super demanding, Black Ops 1, 2 and 3, possibly 4. Destiny 2, PayDay 2, GTA V, BF4 and stuff like that. I've seen the benchmarks, the Vega 20 isn't that bad to be honest, that's why I was thinking about it. On the other hand, I've read that Logic likes to suck up on RAM when having a lot of tracks and whatnot.
  3. I mean, gaming on the Mac whilst using Windows with Bootcamp. I need macOS for Logic and since I go to music school, I basically use Logic all the time there too.
  4. Well I forgot to mention that I'd like to game on this machine since it's replacing my gaming desktop, I don't want a beast, just something that can run older games and new stuff at a decent pace The Vega 16 is 100 euros less so I think it's worth the upgrade
  5. Hello everyone, so, I know this is a bit of strange topic but in a few days I'll be ordering a 15" MBP for music production with Logic and other general stuff and I configured it to have the i9, Vega 20 and 1TB SSD. My doubt was about the fact that I'd like this computer to be at least somewhat future proof since it's not cheap and I actually need it for work and Uni and other stuff; so my real question was: What would you chose? The 16GB RAM/ 1TB SSD or the 32GB RAM/ 512GB SSD config? I already have a 4TB external drive for my backups and personal junk. I mainly record live instruments with effects and EQs etc, sometimes I use VSTs like Keyscape... Thanks in advance!
  6. Hey everyone, in a few days I'll buy my new laptop after a series of dekstops. I've got a basic Touro 500GB external drive that I just use for personal data backups and other crap like that since I always had a 2 or 3 terabyte HDD in the computer itself. Since the laptop I'm buying has "only" 1TB of SSD storage and I'll use for audio production, I thought about buying a new external drive for backups of important data and also the old stuff that I already had. I came across WD's Elements drive at a very good price and then I saw the WD My Passport for the same price even tho the Passport was actually heavily discounted from it's original price, both of them are 4TB. Wha'ts the main difference, apart from the WD Utility app? Is there a significant difference in drive quality and of course, life expectancy? Thanks!
  7. Well it just made it worse, not it struggles to even do 100FPS
  8. I have a 21:9 LG monitor that is 2560x1080 and it's connected with DisplayPort. I honestly have no clue since the card works wonders with much heavier loads and with other Source game even. I've also read that CSGO is CPU intensive but I basically have an 8700k without iGPU and it's heavily clocked too so I really don't know what to think.
  9. Already checked and it is on, but it doesn't change a thing whether it is on or off. Also, overclocking both the GPU and CPU made no difference
  10. Not really, it's been a while since I've played GMod but even with hundreds of mods it never had a problem, fun fact, I played on my 4K TV and it handled it like nothing
  11. I don't know what you exactly mean, I have the GPU fully clocked in GPU Tweak there's nothing regarding low power. Also, in GMod and Portal 2 it doesn't give any problems and they still run on Source
  12. I tried, nothing happened, it still booted with Panorama. I forgot to mention that not only I have problems with performance, but it seems that no matter what command I use in the launch options, the computer won't care about it, it just ignores everything
