  1. I think the reason why 4K isn't taking off is because we need to upgrade all of those. It's just that 16K is actually 16x the resolution of 4K with really minor benefits. Putting anything above 8K resolution on a 22' screen. You have to be 22cm next to your monitor and have the best eyes on the planet to even spot a pixel.
  2. I owned a 4K monitor for quite a while now. There hasn't been much 'native 4K' content on the movie/video side and even when there is I don't really find it 'improves' the experience. On the flipside I really like using the monitor for 2 reasons. I can't see small pixels when I'm using my the basic Windows interface and most importantly when I have the horsepower, I think Games in 4K are great because the aliasing is almost gone.(The downside is my eyes have become way way more sensitive to any kind of aliasing) For Gaming I can see it happening if the UI or other elements of the game are made to handle crazy resolution and it's optimized such that it can on a stable framerate with enough GPU Power. But I really don't see 8K or even 16 being big in the Movies/Videos department which is where lots of people who purchase TVs spend their time at. Why? 1. Internet Speed isn't designed to handle that kind of video size. 2. Most people shoot their casual videos on their phone, if they shot at 8K/16K it would take up tons of memory. Even if you didn't shoot video and just have native 8K/16K content it would take up A LOT of Hard disk space. 3.It takes a really good PC to do the rendering in a reasonable amount of time. 4.The benefits of 8K/16K isn't really pronounced for watching video unless you LOVE sitting close to your 70 inch TV. 5.Movies today aren't shot in 8K/16K so any type of remastering of older films isn't going to make it look much better. 6.Even as monitors I can see it being really annoying since if you wanted to open a 720p video it would look super small and you have to resize it everytime. (This is a minor annoyance but watching SD video on a 4k monitor is quite a pain) Thoughts?
  3. I was referring to the Dark Web where you need TOR Browser.
  4. If not what is the ballpark increase in performance for doubling the Clockspeed?
  5. I'm not assuming that you are going to be alone in the first place . You could be happily married or in a relationship.
  6. The hope anyways is that VR becomes as prevalent as everyday monitors so people try out VR , love it , try running their games and puke when they run it at lower framerates. Even for someone that games at 60FPS all day , 30FPS really doesn't bother me too badly. Its only when a game dips below 30FPS or has massive framedips or framepacing issues.
  7. There are plenty of people that don't care about 60 FPS , mainly due to the genre of games , I know people that can play the Sims in sub-30FPS constantly. But If that game had integrated VR support it would definitely change things.
  8. What makes you say that? Low performance gains?
  9. I find that funny because I always hear reviewers complaining about 30FPS cutscenes when the game runs at 60FPS being 'jarring'.
  10. 30 FPS gaming will probably induce a lot of discomfort in VR. Do you think people will start demanding higher FPS for games / movies / TV in general?
  11. I honestly hope NVIDIA would stop shoving in Gameworks . If they can do that , I can consider upgrading to a GTX 1080Ti , otherwise I'm just going to buy the AMD Equivalent.
  12. If so, when did you start not needing to look? I'm actually curious why people think getting a hold of their keyboard in VR would be an issue so I am genuinely curious if majority of the people you know need to look at their keyboard in order to type.
  13. Honestly though I was thinking if we applied mod logic to real life. The world will be filled grass and trees as far as the eye can see. Free from pollution and global warming. We'll also be looking at everything with judder and lag thanks to framerate drops.
  14. Yea but you have the same amount of interaction with grass in videogames and real life. Most of the time you just walk by and look at it.
  15. Every time I hear people talk about flat 2D grass in games I actually wonder if people care about grass in real life.
  16. I'm actually highly considering getting an AMD GPU for my next build depending on the VR performance .
  17. I wouldn't get your hopes up. At least if its a game published by Warner Bros or Ubisoft.
  18. I can't find the game in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_in_video_gaming Is there any hit to release date since its a yearly title ? July 2016?
