  1. If you are doing other stuff besides gaming I think it's worth it but for pure gaming is it really better?
  2. When buying my new computer I overheard someone saying they are buying a X99 Motherboard because it'll last longer? Any truth Price=Durability?
  3. Strategies like cutting off supply lines or resources that work well against human enemies sometimes don't work too well against AI because the AI gets a ton of cash so he never has to worry about it. Instead most of the time the strategy is exploit his 'stupidity in controlling units' so you get minimal losses. It doesn't work in multiplayer though.
  4. Disclaimer: I know the game is a WIP. I just want as much information as possible How is the Optimisation? Performance? Is there any PAY TO WIN element? Are the controls smooth and intuitive? How is it as a CO-OP experience with friends as crewmates? What is the thing that makes you come back to the game time and again?
  5. If you've played turned based strategy games like Total War, you know that the Hard AI just cheats. He has more money, less cost/overhead, sometimes he can pump out way more units than you etc. The Hard AI in these games aren't 'smart', they just have hacks it's why it's always more fun to play online against a good player. What do you think, is it possible?
  6. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231813&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= cost 157.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231963&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= cost 29.99 I can't find any spec difference, am I missing something or people pay 100+ for the casing. Just curious.
  7. Now for more a side question, how much gaming performance do most standard AAA games gain from an OC CPU. I know that certain CPU intensive games might gain a few FPS but how about those that are GPU Bound?
  8. I know the difference between a K card and a Non-K card. I'm just curious if you don't plan to overclock it anyways, does the K chip have any value to someone who primarily games.
  9. Explain, does having a 0.6Ghz clock speed worth the extra cost or have major performance benefits? I really don't care for overclocking at all.
  10. i7-6700 vs i7-6700K. I don't plan to overclock it either way. I'm just wondering if it's worth the cost if you are mainly gaming.
  11. I rarely see a non-K version of a card on gaming benchmarks compared to one with the K. Thoughts?
  12. I'm getting a really small case for my ITX build and it only fits a 600W PSU. So I'm wondering if future Single GPUs will need more Power from the PSU.
  13. It depends on your needs. I'd say wait simply because Oculus is going through a whole debacle porting stuff over to the Vive and I'm not sure when OSVR would get software support for all the content. If you don't mind the screendoor effect and want to test out VR. It might be worth it but I can't say.
  14. 4K cause I can most of the time. If it's super intensive and the aliasing isn't bad then 1440p is perfect.
  15. I can't find any youtube videos of people reviewing Windows 10 that have spent a significant amount of time gaming on the OS. So I want your opinion since I might move soon.
  16. To each it's own I'm sure the Razer Ultrabook solution will be great for people who travel but come home to game. I'm just curious why people want to stick their mini PCs in the living room.
  17. I'm retarded I quoted the wrong person. Still probably less than 4hrs gaming. I know what you meant. Huilun below mentioned ultrabook. My point still stands battery life when gaming is going to be bad no matter what. Besides if I had the choice of using a 970m or a 980Ti in any extended session where I'm plugged . I'd pick the latter. You can video watch and browse the web on the Ipad for a longer time if that's what you want. This has less than a 4hr battery life browing the web.
  18. Depending on you define 'proper games' Ultrabooks don't have the horsepower to run them. In the future it'll be kinda hilarious to see people breaking our their VR Headsets and their mini pcs in the airport.
  19. Most tablets don't have a Display port IN or a HDMI IN for whatever reason. I know. As someone that has used a gaming laptop before I swapped to desktop gaming. Gaming Laptops are a hassle. Hard to upgrade. Battery life is terrible when gaming and depending on the model pretty unwieldy. The battery life of powerhouse gaming laptops suck so you still need to power them with an plug anyways. The other version of the 'gaming laptop' need your to carry around a GPU in an expensive in a case and have it plugged into the wall. If your goal was to game on the go for 3-4hrs, you still need to be plugged into a socket. With a Node 202 or RV02B, You can use GTX 980Ti or whatever desktop GPU and upgrade it whenever the next best GPU Comes out and you have the money Pair it with a top of the line Desktop CPU. Use your preferred keyboard. Make everyone think you are a weirdo for pulling out a small PC at a cafe. I could be entirely super wrong and an idiot. I just think it's kinda funny to have a small PC just to place it in the living room.
  20. The dream is portable 4K OLED monitors with 144 refresh rate and the hardware to power it. Hopefully soon.
