linuxfan66 reacted to Lord Sephington in Galaxy S6 Battery Issue
I had an issue with this myself a while back but it was with a huawei phone, the only solution i had that saved the battery was to restrict background data to preserve battery.

But if you say after 35 mins the battery goes to 1% sounds like a fault with the battery itself but with it being a non removable battery there is no way to check if there is any bulging or warping of the battery itself.

My only suggestion is to maybe take the handset back to where you purchased it from and see if you can get a warranty repair done on it, or if not take it to a repair shop for them to look at it to see if the issue is with the battery or connections in the phone.

sorry i cant be much more help on this.

you there is very little advantage in this console killer right? as you can only use AMD APUs which will perform worse on pc due to less optimisation unless you use used parts. And then you still might struggle due to good used parts still cost money.

yeah so long as it's not personally identifiable then I don't care. It's actually a good thing. One time I needed tech support from MS to fix something cos i couldn't fix it. And they were only able to help me through looking at my Windows install .

look at it again. and also you wrote same thing twice.

If Windows 10 is Skynet 1.0 or not is academic, the point is for gamers, do we stick to Windows 7 or 8.1 for the rest of time? that means missing out on DX12, and to be frank Windows 7 and 8.1 had telemetry. (source: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/3g7hr0/removing_telemetry_from_windows_7_and_8x/ )

It's a part of OS's these days, we either accept it and treat our computers and the online world as an extension of that bar down your road, or we give up basically, and we all install TalisOS and give up on gaming on AAA titles.

That my friend is 100% impossible.   I doubt they sell the data as I have never gotten any of these emails on the 5 PC's I upgraded to Win 10 with all sorts of data saved on them.  This is confirmation bias.  If your new PC has NEVER had any Google data ever keyed into it, there's no way MS will know what your Gmail address it.  IP's change all the time, and if anything, all other Gmail accounts in the house would have gotten a similar email if you were targeted from your IP.  That's now how the data collection works.

And you're the only person I've heard with this story.

You do know 99% of all ISP's use dynamic IP right?  Chances of you getting the same IP again after a modem restart is next to 0.

    *edit*
just so this coment isnt compleatly wothless:
i dont think it should have ever been suported in the first place, non K CPUs are not made to be overclocked and thats why there cheaper, the motherboards increased cost was also something that ruined it a bit too IMO they were so expensive that you almost might as well get Z series and a K spec processor instead

agreed this nonsense doesn't fly. If a site wants ads on, i'd suggest they server their own internal ads that have been properly vetted first and not grabbed from external networks that aren't picky at all. and dont fill/weight more than the page content...

While i am impressed by it. One thing bothers me about overclocking records. They all do it with all but one core disabled. I would like oc records require stock features reasonably work as against strip it down until you've missed the point of the design.

linuxfan66 reacted to PerfectTemplar in Australian infringement case has a sane ending
This is because an American company thought they could impose ludicrous American rulings in Australia. Our courts saw that they wanted to fine people thousands of dollars for a $12 movie and decided not to let them. The Australian courts have never subscribed to this notion of allowing companies to 'make examples' of individuals by making them pay tens of thousands in infringement damages.

Basically, when the Australian courts told them they could send people bills for the movie but it had to be an extremely limited sum (actual value of a copy of the film). It became uneconomical to continue the case.

Well th 3DS is still a success, but people always have their phone with them so they see less of a use in handheld videogame systems. System only made for playing games. (they can do more, but mostly meant for gaming).

I still prefer my DS and 3DS games over anything that is on my phone, but with emulators and stuff it can definitely take over the handheld market.. But the physical controls of a handheld are a very big plus

One is not to obliged to read magazine ads nor watch tv ads if you do wish. The internet is no different. And if a website misuses/abuses advertising and collapses because I ain't willing to deal with the misuse/abuse...good riddance I don't mind a major website with low quality articles disappearing. At no point was I obliged to deal with ads legally, so therefore if my lack of ads doesn't pay you...get over it. As said earlier you aren't entitled to guaranteed advertising revenue. I turn on ads on channel awesome, but I'm seriously considering taking them off the list due to noxious hidden video ads near the bottom of the page.
