  1. Since the beginning of 2015 I have been using K70 RBG and the M65 from Corsair gaming. While I would like it to last longer, the RBG lights are starting for fail on me and there's this electrical buzzing nose within the keyboard right around the arrow keys. I haven't been all too good with it lately in regards to cleaning so its early demise might be partly my fault but all in all I haven't been throwing it around or anything like that. The mouse, sometimes have to be plugged in and out for it to work and the 4th and 5th keys are only working when they want to, and I use them often. Both my keyboard and mouse are over 4 years old so I guess its an okay lifespan but in regards to the price and the build quality of the keyboard especially I was expecting more. Either way, before both fail on me I would like to be ready. As to what I'm looking for the keyboard has to be full length with the numb pad and preferably media keys, I don't ever reprogram my keys or use the macro functionality. Right now I'm running the MX red switches which are good but perhaps I'd want something a bit more quiet but still mechanical, how heavy they are doesn't really matter as I can get used to it (Other switches are not out of the picture either) but again, something a bit more quiet might be nice. I've gotten used to having lights and I find myself struggling to find the right keys when they aren't lit up, probably bullshit considering I don't actually look down all too much, but thats how I feel, it doesn't have to be RGB but its nice to be able to change the colors every now and again. When it comes to the mouse, not too big or not too small, I guess I'm mostly on the palm grip and I think I would like to continue that although, I can probably get used to the claw. I mostly play fps so having a bunch of extra keys is not necessary but the 4th and 5th key is a must as I use them while browsing and I also use them in games. Light are not a must either as its mostly covered up by my hand Both need to be of a good build quality and I'd like them to last atleast 5 years. Price point for the both of them can exceed 200 dollars, but I will not go much further than that. But I'm open to any suggestions.
  2. This is driving me insane. I have an issue where windows does not recognize the USB device that some sort of ghost keep plugging in and out every 5th second or so. And yes, I know I can mute the sound, I also know I can cut the cord so the engine light in my car doesn't light up, however that's not how I work. I wanna get to the bottom of it and fix the underlying issue. I have googled and I have tried to update all kinds of driver, running window's troubleshooting software, plugged every physical piece of equipment in and out. I have deleted the USB root hubs so they'd reinstall. I've tried to uninstall and/or disable the device. Disabled fast boot. Nothing. Does anyone have anything else I can try aside from doing the last resorts? Info. System Info: USBLogView: Device manager: Dunno if you need all of this or if this isn't enough either way I'll be happy to provide more information if necessary. I cannot remember exactly when the issue started or what I did during that time. Fixed! Corsair k70 and its two usb connectors seems to have been the issue.
  3. I meant headphones. I use the Beyerdynamic for gaming and a standalone mic. I always mix headset and headphones. Thank you for your response
  4. I am back in school and I need a good headset that I can use in class and elsewhere. I already have a decent one at home so I'm looking for something to take out and about. I've been debating back and forth with myself but I think I have ended on wanting a pair with active noise cancelling which I know does reduce sound quality and increase price, but if I am to get through school I need a pair that can help me get rid of all the noice that is in a classroom. I have epilepsy which is concentration related and I'm just very sensitive to any kind of sounds while concentrating (Except for music) so I do need something that I can listen to at low volume while still hearing nothing of the outside world. For this active noise cancelling is king as far as I'm concerened, if you think there are other, better options, please let me know. There are however quite a few out on the market and I can't make a decision. What is the best in terms of: •Noice cancelling •Sound quality •Built quality •Comfort (I wear glasses) Price is ofc a factor but I have been looking at the Bose QC35 which are quite pricey, so lets say thats my range. Wireless is a pro but if its wired its not a deal breaker. Also, are there any in-ear I should consider over the headsets? Music that I like is a mixed bag. I do have a soft spot for metal but then again for studying I might choose something else so balance is important. I am not an audiophile by any means. In the past I've had headsets like Logitech 7.1 bullshit that I've found okay. I had a Senheiser game zero at one point which I enjoyed and now I'm sitting pretty on a pair of Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Plus which I think sounds great. But if you ask me to explain why I think so I'll roll my shoulders say "I haven't the foggiest idea" maybe if I wanted to impress you I'd say I like the balance between the high's and the low's with the slight hint of treble and a smoky aftertaste, aka again I don't have a clue. I apologize if there are threads like this. I just wanna find the right fit for me and my taste.
  5. Vault 7, would be a good tech quickie video or on the normal channel and perhaps go a little in depth on how to protect yourself and or company. Both simple steps and a little more in depth on how to "Tin-foil hat" your computer, tv, modems and electronics in general that is at risk of being hacked or abused to gain an insight into you or your company.
  6. Just reinstalled the network driver to the driver only with no manager or killer network suite. I will check back later to see if that resolves it. As for chrome and memory leaks. I did go a day without using only Edge and at the end of the day I still had my memory fill up. Hoping that @revsilverspine suggestions fixed this shite. I'll get back to you once I know if it did or not
  7. Okay. So cutting right to the chase. It seems that my ram will not dump itself. So, lets say I wanna play world of warcraft, I start it up and play for 2 hours and then close it and watch some videos on youtube or die a little inside while scrolling through facebook. I decide that I wanna play Subnautica, launch it up and start to play swimming around in the terrifying open ocean. I start lagging and the ocean won't load kinda like in Minecraft when your chunks won't load. I close the game and do some youtube and the videos will start to lag. At this point my memory usage will probably be around 95% I can only assume that if it goes up to 99 or a 100% I will get the oh so dreaded BSOD. I think I might have gotten it once when I left my computer and came back to it being restarted. I have run both windows ram test aswell as Memtest which find no errors. I have looked for viruses with both Windows defender and Avast and I have also ran Ccleaner several times to no avail (Doubt that Ccleaner would be able to fix it anyways, but it was worth a shot) Now I am currently sitting at 87% so I will restart my computer now after I hit post now as it is curently sitting at 87% used with google chrome open taking the most which is about 250 mb... My specs are available in my profile. I have also made sure all my drivers are up to date. And there are no windows updates to be found. If you guys need anything else just tell me and I will provide. Anyways, brb, restarting the computer.
  8. I am ofcourse happy with a newer card. And the lower power draw is ofc compelling aswell. But once I started looking at the raw specs of them the 780 pulls ahead in the number of transistors, shaders, compute untis, TMU's. But the core clock, is higher on the 1060, so is the memory speed. But with bus width aswell, is is much higher. How much all of these differences translates into the real world is however something I have no clue about.
  9. My 780 died recently. Suddenly my computer turned off, and I had some trouble turning it on again, but when I did it started smelling like a fuse had blown in my room. Sniffed out my MSI 780 to be the culprit. Sent it back and I am now getting the 1060 3GB version in return. I've tired to look up how it compares to the 780, but I only find how the 6GB version compares. Does anyone care to take a guess, or does anyone have a benchmark of it where it is compared to the 780? Are they dead on or does one of them pull ahead slightly?

Last time Nvidia claimed something was faster I was dissapointed by the 1080. Although it's awesome, it didn't live up to the promises.
  12. I think it very much depends on the user. I've never heard of tobacco causing hallucinations, but I wouldn't be too surprised if alcohol can cause that. I've never heard about tobacco causing paranoia, weed does that to some people, aswell as hallucinations. But again, the effect each individual user have will vary. Not everyone will throw up with the few first nicotine rushes, but many will. Usually with tobacco atleast, people will get the same high as the next one. In alcohol its a bit more sketchy. Some get annoyingly happy, some get mad, some get sleepy, some don't give a fuck whatever happens. (Couldn't find the correct word I was looking for) But yes, I could be wrong about what "kind of" high weed gives. But outside of weed to the more hardcore drugs, then the high they give is unlike alcohol and at the very least tobacco.

Don't be sad, we can still be friends. Its not you, its me. Don't think of it as a breakup, just think of it as a new beginning.
  16. I'd make the argument that if they didn't bring razor's to your door but Kleenex' then it wouldn't be as popular, therefor razor sells and its a good business. But yeah, subscription models is the way to go for alot of things.
  17. 1 billion in cash... I call bullshit. I don't think they are allowed to pay with cash even. But this is good for dollar shave club. I didn't honestly believe it would be too successful when Linus first was sponsored by them, but they proved me wrong. I guess getting into razors is a good business.

Yeah, right, you can kiss my ass!

Also, again, I don't really care you post alot of stuff, I don't actually care at all, but I'm tempted to unfollow you because each time I get a notification from this forum I get excited, then its a status update from you and not someone quoting me or something directly affecting me. Perhaps it would be better if we just stay friends?

  21. Basically what is happening is that your display driver has stopped responding and have been restored or atleast Windows think its restored. However, it hasn't been restored. I haven't been able to figure out which fix, fix it, but I had it, now I don't. 1. Give your GPU more processing time through the registry 2. Change the Power Management mode to "Prefer maximum performance" One of these worked for me when I had the exact same problem, however mine never bluescreen'd I really hope this help Edit: After reading your post one more time, we don't have the exactly same symptoms. But I still do suspect that either of these 2 fixes will help you out. Also, before I tried these 2 fixed I ended up reinstalling windows and formatting my boot drive, but that did not help me, so I wouldn't bother to try that before you attempt these two.
  22. The corsair keyboards are also built at a damn tank will full aluminum chassis. sturdy as fuck and simple to clean. 10/10 in my book. And if you get the RGB version the lights are pretty
