  1. OP should play the games on the flight entertainment system. You can link up with other seats and play against/ each other. That's heaps of fun, I tell ya. If you squint hard enough it may even look like CS:GO
  2. They were totally dishonest by claiming that AMD had no ecosystem. So to me it doesn't matter whether they were cramming or not.
  3. You have two Matrix Plantinums 980s. Give her one of them. She is your sister after all.
  4. Well there seems to be a slight drop in price in 2nd hand cards on UK ebay. I don't trust them though. *edited
  5. But Lincoln is beautiful... cathedral and all... Agree on the chair part. I am looking to buy a new keyboard, and I know all the types of mechanical keyboards and what not, but I still don't know what each type feels like... Like a teenager with sex - know the theory but no experience
  6. Lincoln is a lovely place! But that's quite a trek and not exactly convenient! Maybe you should take a look at Aria PC, its just south of Manchester, which is slightly closer...
  7. Yea the UK is pretty crap for tech stuff. I used to live in Hong Kong and they have shopping centres dedicated to tech. Competition is high so prices are low. Yea we do, but like I mentioned above they sell generic overpriced things e.g. logitec. Online is good if I know what I want, but for keyboards and monitors and speakers, its always better to try them out first hand.
  8. I am looking for a shops that sell computer parts in the UK. I live in Sheffield, but I am willing to travel to nearby cities. The kind of shop I have in mind are ones like Aria PC (https://www.aria.co.uk) which sells enthusiasts and gaming orientated products, unlike Currys/PC World which sells generic and pedestrian things. Thanks!
  9. Yea I thought that point #5 was invalid too. Another thing... I'm not sure if the "science" in "With the development of science and technology..." is relevant here... technology will do.
  10. Im failing to picture the situation... did you take a picture? I was also under the impression that CPUs will not boot at all if there is no thermal contact with the cooler, as it would overheat instantaneously. (?)
  11. Im no expert, but I would go for 6GB. Once you run out, it affects fps a lot and there is nothing you could do about it. But as mentioned above, some games are more VRAM hungry then others. And also the CUDA core thing mentioned by others too. (I didn't know about that )
  12. I am only able to afford a small capacity SSD, so it's OS and a few games for moi then...
  13. Just curious how people ration their SSD space.
  14. But where to buy? (UK)
  15. Anyone waiting for the other AM4 ITX motherboards to drop? First it was June, then end of June, then second week of July... them cheeky bastards!
  16. Free sync so Rx580, as said by the good people above. Also, what monitor do you have? Just curious.
  17. you don't want an SSD? may want to consider getting one. edit: lol Robert27 beat me to it!
  18. Thanks for your opinions guys. I'll try to shave off 50 or so - don't think I can do any better. I'll also buy a good cpu cooler, as its the stock one right now, and some decent case fans. But daym the case looks so crap. CUDA_Cores your guides are awesome.
  19. Hi guys, A friend of mine has a rig for sale. Specs are: Processor · Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor MotherBoard · MSI Z97-G43 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) ATX Motherboard RAM · Kingston HyperX 16GB (2x8GB) PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Red (HX21C11BRK2/16-OC) Graphics Card · MSI GeForce GTX 760 OC Gaming Edition 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card Storage . Seagate 2TB Blu-Ray Disk Drive · OcUK Blu-ray / DVDRW combi SATA Power · SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply · OcUK Value AT/ATX "Kettle Plug" 2 Meter Mains Cable Casing · Aerocool V3X Advance Evil Blue Edition Midi-Tower He is selling it for £500. He had the rig for 5 years, apparently for CAD, and he swapped out the CPU for the 4790K later on. He never overclocked it either. I personally think that its a good deal. What do you guys think?
  20. I did hear something about card makers releasing mining-focused cards, i.e. no graphic outputs. Might have dreamt that up though.
  21. For the UK anyway. Saw it on some stockists, some as late as 31st August. Kill me now.
  22. I've only ever used a curved monitor once. For some reason I found it hard to get used to... probably just me hehe
  23. Fair enough. Meanwhile, I'm STILL waiting for more AM4 ITX mobos......
