  1. Why just Nvidia? AMD is the best for price to preformance, if you look around you can prob get a R9 290x for $250 and a R9 290x = GTX 970
  2. 980 Ti, since the 970 has the 3.5GB vram issue, and I've used 970s in 4k and they don't cut it
  3. R9 390x, neck and neck with the 980, has 8 GBS of vram, and $420
  4. unfortunately it happens to random and quickly for me to catch it
  5. Ok, so with my new 980 TI that I've had for about 2 weeks is having quite a bit of texture issues in anything that I do, I could be watching a video or playing a game, and it only happens for a second but it happens. Should I RMA it? (I have an MSI Twin Frozer GTX 980 TI)
  6. No problem, enjoy your new build
  7. 500w psu will be plenty
  8. a R9 290, and yes a 600w will handle
  9. Ok, so I'm looking for a dedicated PhysX card, and I'm looking at getting a cheap GTX 780. Or if AMD cards work I can get a cheap AMD card. Budget $200. (I have a friend selling 780)
  10. This is the one I have, slightly over $500 but it's a 4k ips 60hz monitor http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RN08EH6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00
  11. You'll get much more bang for the buck if you R9 390, much better decision since you can only properly use 3.5GBs of vram on a GTX 970
  12. I will. I hope Computer hardware is on sale
  13. It doesn't the 970 is more expensive, and the R9 390 comes with 8GBs of vram
  14. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GPFvt6 This is better, and you don't need that CPU also the R9 390 is cheaper and preforms better than 970 and have 8GB of vram
  15. if you got 2 R9 390x, 750w would be cutting it really close
  16. I play on 4k, and most games I get 60-70 fps on ultra with My 980TI, Also I found this on a older post in the LTT: You can view a list of pre-defined crossfire profiles within catalyst control center. Start by opening catalyst control center, using advanced view navigate to the gaming tab then select "3D Application Settings" From here, select "Add..." choose any .exe or file (in this example I used an mp4), preferably not a game unless you want to make a game specific profile. Select your newly added entry. At the bottom, under "AMD CrossFireX Mode" change "default" to "Use AMD pre-defined profile" This will give you both a search bar, and a small window to scroll through every pre-defined profile. After you're done, feel free to delete the test profile so it doesn't accidentally interfere with regular use. Crossfire support is not limited to pre-defined profiles. Crossfire will "work" in nearly every game. Manual changes to crossfire mode can improve/change experiences if needed. Only games with compatibility issues or in need of tweaks tend to get specific pre-defined profiles made for them.
  17. if you are just going to be playing 1440p 1 R9 390x is enough, but if you want overkill go with GTX 980 TI, since 1 GPU is always better than 2, but 2 R9 390x is more preformacne
  18. I get Amazon since I have amazon prime, but if there is a huge price difference then I use Newegg
