    I have the 770 Superclock from EVGA and a 2560x1080 LG 65UM29 21:9 Monitor - the frame drop is very low, almost negligibly and/or worth it for a much better productivity and gaming experience.

    I have the ATH-M50's (Non-X edition). I love them to bits. The sound quality if great, the build quality is great and, despite what some have said, I find them very comfortable, even for long periods (Subjective). I used to use the Corsair Vengeance 1500 headset but moved to the M50's and now use the 1500s as a microphone.
    Also, I personally struggle to see how they aren't good for gaming. They deliver accurate, crisp sound.

    I was going to do the same as you, however opted against it. But Razer have their Hammerhead and Hammerhead Pro's http://www.razerzone.com/gb-en/gaming-audio/razer-hammerhead-proMight be what youre looking for.

    CD-PR made a solid distinction between "DLC" and "Expansion Pack" - I'm not quite sure why this has caused a bit of an "outrage", CD-PR shouldn't have announced it, but its like having a top secret event for a COD release... no need, we know another is coming out regardless. However, from a money-making standpoint, announcing them now means they can advertise it on Steam, as you said. CD-PR are a business, they need to make money.

    hmm the games you play somehow think you're using an 5,1 audio setup, check your windows audio settings if there is some setting saying you have 5,1 speakers.
     
    Check for the same 5,1 setting in creative drivers too and switch it to 2 speakers or headphones.
