I'm 95% sure it's hit GPU. Same thing happened to me, and since you have a decent PSU, it senses there is a short and will kill the power immediately. Try running the computer without the GPU installed to be sure. Run on integrated graphics.

I would suggest contacting Steam Support and reporting the bug.
 
The problem is that if you use a third party application to limit steam, it may also inadvertently limit the game itself, and kill/affect MP performance.

They are older so they do generate much more heat than modern processors, I wouldnt think its an issue honestly as your not bad at 60c under gaming load. 

yup, when you go from a dual core to a quad core, windows can get screwy. You might just have to reinstall windows.

I can play CSGO on 600Kb/s fine but you are right. Someone else joins ping is over 1000. Just yesterday I think someone was downloading something or uploading and my ping got over 10,000ms

Gaming for source engine games or minecraft should be at least 200kbps. If I monitor traffic while playing csgo, I use around 600kbps-1mbps of upload and download bandwidth.

I'd personally go with the XPS unless you're really tied to the Mac OS (which I know a lot of people are).

The dell inspiron 15 7559 is also a nice alternative for around 1/3 the price.

Moto g4

Windows phone is coming along nicely but still needs some more time in the oven imho, I'd stick to Android for the next upgrade and see if Windows picks up more momentum later.

Up till now no problems for me. This one os my third Android. First a shit local QMobile a7(Google it). Then a moto g2. Then I borrowed this moto g1 from a friend to play around with.

I've had both Android and iPhone in the past, and I have to recommend Android to you.  Currently I'm using the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.  It's the best phone I've used yet.  Many of the bugs in Android are fixed with Android Marshmallow (Current update of the OS).  In my experience if you are a techie you will like Android and it is compatible with almost everything.  Windows phones seem to me to have way too many bugs and not enough updates to fix them. 
 
So in my opinion, stick with Android.

I've used Android for years and it's honestly pretty mixed. Various companies like LG and Samsung tend to skin their own versions of Android so the actual feel of it varies from company to company, and sometimes carrier to carrier. I would try to find a near-stock Android phone like the Moto G or Nexus 6P, depending on your budget.
 
You could always try to be brave and flash CyanogenMod like me but I can't suggest that to most people

This is build is good, but with the $600 budget i would change the following:
Get a 8GB DDR4 kit instead. AutoCAD profits from more RAM yes, but 8GB is plenty.
Also, the CPU cooler isn't necessity since the CPU is not an overclockable i5.
 
And also as remarked by JPotze, the case is of course bit expensive. Make sure to buy a PSU though, if you want to choose another case!

Naa I couldn't find anything. However, windows 10 just finished installing all the updates and I am able to mess with the screen brightness and it can sleep now. The only thing I'm worried about now is that the battery is going pretty fast, and I'm thinkin it's using it's dedicated GPU instead of the integrated graphics. Or maybe it just needs a new battery.

I think I'm just gonna try to get rid of windows 8 on it for now. Thanks for your help.

when you make a fress instal for windows. in i believe the first step there is an option to format the disk before installing. you can also make new partitions. just delete the partitions and make 1 big one or 2, whatever and go on with the installation.

Those dell inspiron 15 7000 series laptops are bad ass. They probably don't have the BEST cooling, but they are a normal looking, light laptop with a very decent GPU for under 800.

If you want to buy new, the gtx 950 is gonna be the way to go unless you can bump up your spending limit to about 190 and get a gtx 960. If you're ok with buying used, you can pick up some nice cards on eBay for cheap.

i have a m17x r3 i got back in 2009 for college and light gaming i used it as my main gaming computer up till October of last year when i built my desktop to finally replace it but from the homework i did back then price to performance everything i looked into for upgrading was a waste of money other than a SSD upgrade which you already have.
 
for thermals tho speaking from experience open that baby up and clean her out the way the 2 blower fans work in the alienware computers the fins in the back were the air comes out gunk up pretty bad and fast! i probably took myn apart to clean it every few months during the time i used it as my daily driver. also replace the stock thermal paste with something decent i found that helped a tiny bit but mostly you just need a decent cooling pad if you want to game on it i played wow on myn for almost 4 years any extended play time required a cooling pad.
