  1. Thank you so much! Really helped and was efficient! Thanks again!
  2. AMD, sorry I should have mentioned this earlier!
  3. I play CS:GO, the streched res is better than the ones provided.
  4. Hey guys, just a small issue here. It seems that my monitor (24 Inches) does not have the 1280x960 resolution available. Is there a reason for this. Most 24 inch monitors should be able to have this res, but mine doesn't. Thanks for the help!
  5. Ahh I see, can you link me to any tutorials to do so?
  6. Sorry for the late reply Really? I never knew. Well the chosen ram was on sale, and here in Australia, RAM prices, most notably 1866 mhz, skyrocket, so when I saw the original price of this ram @ $130.00 AUD I jumped on it! EDIT I was just reading a forum now and it stated that I can override the 1333 mhz status of the G3258 by changing the XMP status in the MOBO, is this the case?
  7. Wow, so fast! Alright to answer all the questions, these are my purchased parts: Asus Z97-A AMD Sapphire R9 380 SeaSonic G-550 W PSU WD Black 1TB WD Caviar Green 1.5TB Intel G3258 Kingston Hyper X 8GB (1866) Also, will the PSU Wattage be enough to OC the CPU to a decent GHz (lets say 4.2) Is the whole build on its own able to run due to the power supply, or should a higher wattage be considered? Thanks!
  8. Hey guys, I was in the market for buying a CPU to finish of my build. I did a little background research on buying CPU's & I came to the conclusion that a G3258 will be just fine for playing low demanding games (CounterStrike) only. Was this a right decision (CS is tilted more to CPU than GPU) Thanks for the help guys.
  9. Thanks for the reply! Here is the link to the specified RAM - http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-PC3-12800-BLT2KIT8G3D1608DT2TXRG-BLT2CP8G3D1608DT2TXRG/dp/B0091L1MRY As I have stated in the original post, I have already purchased the Z97-A, but with the i5 4590 being in the same socket type, I think I will buy it and purchase an overclockable CPU later!
  10. Hello guys, I'm almost about to complete my build, but I'm stuck on selecting the last few components Is this particular RAM decent? http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/blt2kit8g3d1608dt2txrg ALSO - I a have purchased a Z97-A motherboard, but I am not seeking to immediately overclock my CPU once I purchase it. Will the i5-4590 cpu be compatible with the Z97-A? Should I seek to purchase an overclockable cpu? Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate!
  11. Hello! I just ordered this card (the Nitro variant) any thoughts? Was it a good purchase? Could have the GTX 960 been a better option? Thanks guys!
  12. Will the purchase of a 144Hz Monitor justify the purchase of a higher end GPU such as a GTX 970? Thanks!
  13. Greetings! I'm in preparation of buying a new gaming monitor that runs @ 144Hz! I did a little research myself into the topic and I think that the XL Series from Benq will do me well. Any recommendations? I was thinking of going down the route of a Benq XL2420 or a XL2430. Can anyone justify the price and performance of each? Thanks!
  14. After long periods of planning, its finally ready. Thoughts ? http://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/TheOnlyManuel/saved/#view=mg4kcf
  15. Alright, it is settled a GTX 970 will do! Just for interest, which is the best variant for the non-reference 970's? Thanks again!
  16. What are your thoughts on this graphics card? ~~~>https://www.asus.com/au/Graphics_Cards/GTX960DC2OC2GD5BLACK/
  17. Thank you very much guys! Do you think any of the 3xx series are fine?
  18. Hello there! (I'm not sure whether to put this here in "Cases and Power Supplies" or "Graphics Cards", so I put it here!) I am in needed of deciding what graphics card solution will do well with a SeaSonic G-Series 550 W Power Supply! A card that will do well over a long period of time A card that will not deteriorate other components due to its power usage. A decent card for E-Sports games etc (LoL, CSGO, DOTA) and light usage of titles such as Far Cry, Skyrim etc. Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it!
  19. Alright thanks! I know this might seem a little lazy, but can anyone find the listed TDP's of most popular graphics cards? Thanks again!
