RGB hasnt gone too far at all, BUT it hasnt been done right yet besides rgb keyboards and the hue+.
 
So far no MB, even the asus rog rgb hasnt got rgb done right. The led lighting looks like shit or itsnt in good places. Rgb on headsets is just fucking stupid, you dont see them when they are on your head and it just wastes battery life and your paying for shit that id rather be used to make a BETTER product rather then a flashy product. 
 
I can honestly say that ALL rgb lighting besides rgb keyboards and the hue+ are failures. They are great steps forward in rgb implementation, but far from worth the price they charge for it. 
 
 

Why is it annoying? It gives you more flexibility without having to rewire everything when you want a change. I'm basically stuck with a black/red theme (which I love) simpley because that was one of the only color schemes available for my components at the time. If I had the option of going all RGB from the start, I would've.

And Asus's Maximus VIII formula which is essentially an RGB motherboard. It's almost getting annoying when your now seeing builds like this

The older ones were really good. (Some are used by various armies. Including the swedish army)
The newer ones are popular because they are expensive mercs i guess.  (The 6x6 is pretty badass though)

I am very well aware of the fun that can be had with a car that you genuinely don't care about, but to never own a nice car cause of this severely limits your automotive experience...  I guess its fine if you're a frugality enthusiast... I for one am a car enthusiast..

Those rear seats are only there so that the car companies can call it a "Four seater". Those rear seats barely fit a child.

So slight benefits from 2133 to 2400 and practically nothing beyond that point. Recommending at least 3000 based on that review makes no sense.
