  1. Thanks for replying, it's an Acer Aspire TC-710, with the i5-6400. I found out the motherboard is called H11H4-AD2, which I attached an image below. It's the top right slot that I'm interested in using, and the bottom slot under the CPU is where a wifi card is currently installed
  2. Pretty much the title.I have a prebuilt computer and I want to buy an SSD for it, but it does NOT have an m-key m.2 slot. I can't find the official spec of my computer anywhere on the manufacturer's website (Acer) but I know the slot is a b-key m.2. Does anyone know if there is any reason why a B&M key M.2 Sata3 SSD not work in my computer? I'm just trying to confirm I'm making the right purchase decision
  3. Ahh. Well when I saw the cool technology and convenience behind some starter companies creating reversible micro-usb cables, I thought it would be nice to have a combination of this type of connector with a type c connector on the other end. Makes both sides reversible. When I mentioned micro-usb I actually was unaware that there was a type and b. Was referring B's in this case. And yeah I actually do just kinda want to use the type c port on my laptop lol. It has absolutely no function for me atm
  4. There's a usb type C port on my laptop that can be used for data transfer, but atm it's really not doing anything. Was wondering how cool it would be if I could find a cable that was reversible on the micro usb side for my phone, and still type C on the other end for my laptop...Couldn't find anything on sites like amazon though. Anyone know of any like these that exist?
  5. I loved the original video but this one doesn't have the same feeling and purpose. Should've shown more comparisons that prove dollars/performance isn't there for these gpu's and showed what the sweet spot this actually is. Considering what Luke addressed, this video overall could've been shorter as well because answering comments and specifically calling people out was a bit of a waste. Just integrate all of the complaints that you read into your new video rather than coming off as only being able to address the most popular comments on the video by calling out the people in question that made the comment, especially when Linus freaking already answered one of them. Also, there's a huge issue comparing low end gpu's to a high end cpu's integrated graphics. For real-life scenarios, we're already talking about guys being butthurt about the original rant, and are trying to look for cheap gpu's regardless of how simple it is to understand Linus' "sweet spot" ratio. Comparing Low end graphics to graphics in a high end cpu is straight up completely irrelevant for many viewers. Most viewers talking about "upgrading" their pc's with crappy gpu's will most likely have a crappy cpu. But then again, if they do have a high end cpu then they most certainly dun goofed in making a balanced "gaming" pc in the first place by then trying to find their way to complain about Linus' rant on this types of people that do that.
  6. Where the balls did you read that the force of gravity has a speed faster than light
  7. pgud for a typical rubber membrane keyboard The test on 10fastfingers is also much easier.
  8. Well no, there really isn't much you can do unless you're only a lan party or anything that would require all of the systems in one room. Maybe it could serve great to transfer entire game installs to all of the pc's in the room or something like that if you have friends over. If the pc's not in the same room, it's useless.
  9. Hey linus, especially after your latest safe data storage video, it almost gets a bit too interesting yet complicated at the same time to remember all of your servers that you have installed in your rack. Maybe a neato flow chart would be really cool, that shows where file goes into which server (referring to their name as long as their purpose). Or you could just explain here just what exactly ALL of your server/systems do in your server rack in one video. Basically combine all of your individual videos into one that shows the flow of data/rendering/whatever you do with these systems. Edit: less "how it came to be" and more "how everything works together."
  10. 1. Is there a place where I can find what transcoding and export settings the LTT team uses for its workflow? I want to take advantage of gpu acceleration in my own video editting system as well through the often talked about cineform codec. 2. What exactly goes down when nvidia or any company sends you equipment to use in the workplace, like the graphics cards in your new editting den? Do they expect anything in return? 3. Does Linus actually drive the honda civic and has he ever attracted much more attention than he would like 4. Has there ever been some crazy conflict with people not feeling comfortable with a camera around during your scrapyard wars?
  11. Anyone know with more detail Linus' workflow is? I'm curious to see how hardware acceleration fairs with my pc in cineform as well, except I'm not entirely sure what settings/preset he uses when transcoding to gopro's cineform. Hopefully there's no extra setup required as well to get hardware acceleration to work in adobe premiere, AE, and media encoder.
  12. I really don't want to sound negative here, but I'm not really liking how this game looks... at all. Combat doesn't fit my tastes, and hacknslash games have usually annoyed me with very dodgy mechanics. The graphics and textures... need some work as well.
  13. Some scary schools you guys go to, for getting suspended from the use of vpns. I use one all the time for more than a year and no one has ever said anything.
