  1. Wow that headset looks amazing. The craftsmanship and quality look top notch. I'd love to get my hands on those.
  2. Do I just use the same install disk I used before?
  3. How do I actually do a clean install?
  4. I'll give it a shot in the morning and let you know if it helps. The only problem is the BSOD have only occurred when playing League, and they havnt happened everyone I have played either. It's like it picks and chooses when to crash. So the reply may not be immediate yes or no it works.
  5. Windows 10 was upgraded to with my i5-3570k CPU, Corsair Vengeance Ram, and ASRock MOBO. It was after Windows 10 was installed that I put in the new parts.
  6. I have not done a clean install. Everything was working fine until I put in the new CPU and MOBO, and RAM. Mobo, CPU, and RAM are all brand new. I set it to 2666 - it crashed, I set it back to the default thinking maybe that was why, still crashed. -- also yeah I need to follow it lol sorry.
  7. So I put in new Skylake series parts into my rig and have been having trouble ever since. I've had memory_management BSOD's as well as 1 KMOD_Exception not handled error. I ran Memtest and it did not find any errors. I plan on re running it tomorrow. Original OS - Windows 7 - updated to Windows 10 Installed Windows 7 myself from a disk Parts are 3 years old - except for new CPU, MOBO, and RAM Have no reinstalled OS CPU: i7-6700k MOBO: ASRock Z170 Extreme 7+ RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2666 PSU: Corsair CX500W GPU: HIS 7950 HD Links to dump files: https://drive.google...SFo2R1N2Rl82OTA https://drive.google...RkhfZkJrcW52NGM Thank you for any help!! If any more info is need please let me know. I will get it as soon as I can.

  9. I lied. Well not on purpose. 30 min after the above post it started again. I was having BSOD issues w/ Memory_Management errors that I thought I had fixed with driver updates. I've already run Memtest on both sticks with no findings of errors. Also ran the Windows Mem check to no avail. Really at a loss on what to do at this point. Does not seem to be the memory sticks themselves. I restarted 5 times in the last 15 min and got all Memory_Management errors and one KMOD_Exception not handled error. Any help would be amazing. -- Going to make a new thread as this is unrelated to post issues.
  10. Thanks for the suggestions guys! I narrowed it down to old drivers actually. They were causing conflicts from the Windows 7 version for the GPU and the Windows 10 ones I had downloaded. Seems to be better now.
  11. Since installing my Skylake 6700k into a ASRock Z170 Extreme 7+ board, and installing newest drivers, my PC has been unable to consistently boot w/o errors. The most common one being a PCI lane error. (Error code 99 on Dr. Debug LED) I've updated BIOS, and drivers. Trying to get the system smooth again as it was before the upgrade. Where should I start? System Specs: CPU: i7-6700k MOBO: AsRock Z170 Extreme 7+ RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb - 2666MGhz Boot Drive - Samsung 850 Pro SSD - 256 GB Aux Storage: WD 1TB Blue series PSU: Corsair CX 500W GPU: HIS 7950 HD
  12. One thing for sure you don't need an i7. It sounds like you do pretty much exactly what I do but on a lighter level. The i5-4690k or i5-4790k would be a perfect CPU for you to buy. It handles pretty much everything -- just slow to render things down when video editing. Like others posted you could drop down in MOBO and buy a cheaper one and shoot for the i7, but I know for me I also enjoy looking at my PC lol. So if you are buying for looks go for it, OR if you are buying because you will use the extra features it offers go for it. If you just are going to buy because it is expensive there are MANY other options that will save you tons of money. Personal use I have found that ASRock boards are quite nice and OC well. I also hear very good things from MSI and ASUS. -- If you want suggestions let me know.
  13. Its really pretty simple. You asked what should I get for a gaming rig correct? Then the i7 6700k should be your choice. The 5820k is really targeted for workstation and productivity such as video editing and other programs that use multiple threads. While DX12 in the future most likely will utilize more cores -- the 6700k will be more than ample for that seeing as how the GPU is really the main concern for graphics/FPS capability.
  14. DDR3 will not be compatible in the 170 series boards for the 1151 socket. In fact from what I have read most manufactures will not even offer DDR3L support on most boards as we are seeing a full swing transition to DDR4 as there is only a 10-15 % increase in price as of now. As to the original post. I am in the same situation. Buy skylake? Wait for Zen? Get 5820k? Its all a horrible decision lol. But to be honest the 5820k will only be useful to you if you are going to be doing multi threaded tasks (photoshop, video editing). Skylake as per the reviews and benchmark numbers I have seen can get up to a 4.8 OC..easily. So with the about 10% increase in performance we have actually seen w/ the CPU to go along with a what seems to be very solid OC headroom -- NOT to mention the improved storage transer rates w/ M.2 and more lanes for I/O Skylake makes a strong argument to buy. In regards to Zen. Well we know nothing about it, it comes in a year, and until it is actually launched we can't realistically discuss what it will be capable of. I hope more than anything that it is kick *** but we will have to wait and see.
  15. Recently bough a brand new mouse and the sensors are going already, don't quite have the budget for a new one. Also would love to review the product and see how it performs for myself in different situations.
