  1. Hello I´ve been looking at a Huawei Mateboom D 14" laptop sporting these specs: Intel core i5-8250U 8gb ddr3 ram 256 gb ssd intel uhd 630 graphics 1920x1080 ips display My question is if this laptop is good enougb to run programs like adobe photoshop and sony vegas pro for simple video editing. My current laptop, an Acer ultrabook from 2015 is struggling with these tasks and the touchscreen is onlu 1366x768 so I kinda need an upgrade. the design and asthetics of the matebook lineup is really appealing to me and the price of this specific model is also very near my budget at the moment. I guess I can ask a salesman at a shop to install the programs to see if the laptop struggles with these tasks or if if performes well. Just wanted to ask if anyone in here has experience with simulair programs and this particluair laptop or simulair models.
  2. Hello I have an MSI GS73VR-7RF gaming laptop from which I have 27" AOC monitor connected through the mini displayport on the MSI to the regular size displayport on the monitor. My laptop also has a full size HDMI output. My question is, is it somehow possible to run a dual external monitor setup from my laptop or can I only output to one single monitor at once? Thanks in advance!
  3. So now I have this aoc 144 hz 1 ms response monitor connected to my laptop with hdmi and of course that only allows the refresh rate to be 60 hz and nothing more. My question is, will it work if I connect my laptop to the monitor with a display port through a thunderbolt to displayport adapter? because my laptop only has hdmi and thunderbolt.
  4. so the 144 hz refresh rate will be visible but there will be no difference in response time on the monitor?
  5. Hey I have this MSI GS73VR 7RF with a 4k 5ms (I think) 60 Hz display, and I´m used to play on a 1ms display on my desktop pc, so my question is, is it possible to connect my msi laptop to a display with either the full size hdmi or display port it has to a display with 120 or 144 hz 1 ms responsetime and actually take advantage of the responsetime and refresh rate? Thanks in advance!
  6. Hello I currently have a 24" AOC 1080p monitor connected to my pc with a standard hdmi cable, but I want to upgrade to a bigger screen, perhaps a 4K one. I have been looking at this specific monitor https://www.komplett.dk/product/844525/hardware/skaerme/skaerme/samsung-28-4k-led-freesync-u28e590d But then I got the idea to run a dual monitor setup with the Samsung screen as my main screen, and the AOC on the side, but I encountered following possible problems with my idea: 1. Is it possible for me to connect to the samsung monitor to my pc with displayport and get the 60 Hz refresh rate? 2. Is it possible for Windows to run in 4k resolution on one monitor and 1080p on the second monitor at the same time, since my AOC monitor only goes up to 1920x1080? 3. Would it be easier to just buy another 1920x1080 monitor to run as my main, because if so I was thinking about this: https://www.komplett.dk/product/890455/gaming/skaerm-tilbehoer/skaerme/aoc-27-led-freesync-g2778vq# The main problem with my current setup is that the 24" inces becomes to small in certain situations, and 4K would´t hurt for watching videos and movies, even though I probably cannot run it games with my GTX 1060 Thanks in advance! Kind regards Chris
  7. So I tried to find the cmos battery yesterday but I cannot seem to fin it anywhere on the board, nothing looks like a circular battery at all, which confuses me.
  8. Thanks, I will try that when I have the right tools for unscrewing my notebook. It uses the small flat star like shaped screws and I don´t have a screwdriver for that kind, since it is not used frequently in my country.
  9. Hey I just got my Acer Aspire S3 notebook back from repair and have set a supervisor password or whtever it´s called. It´s the password that comes right after boot and it won´t let me access anything, not BIOS and not the OS before the right password is entered, problem is I cannot remember the password, though I am sure what I am entering is correct, since I only use 3 passwords for everything. when I enter it says "Password check fail!!" so I´m pretty screwed. Is there any solution for this? I thought about getting a new msata harddrive for it but I guess that wont do anything, but is there a way to reset all bios settings without access to the bios or something, or is the notebook just total trash at the moment? Upfront thanks! Cheers!
  10. Hey Yesterday I was trying to factory reset my friends pc with Windows 10 upgraded from Windows 7 on a Samsung SSD. As clumsy as my friend is, he accidentally pressed the power button on the case when the process was at around 40% completed and well obviously it fucked up everything. When you turn on the pc now it shows black screen for a couple of seconds before it comes with the "No operating system found. Try disconnecting the drives not containing an operating system". This scenario is a little confusing: The pc was originally with a 240 gb ssd on which Windows 8 was installed and a 1tb hdd as D: drive, but then we took the samsung ssd containing windows 10 from another pc and installed it in the new pc. It resulted in the first ssd with windows 8 installed (which is boot priority 1) not being able to boot properly but the samsung ssd with windows 10 booted fine. My concern is that now you cannot access the BIOS when turning on the PC. I hope there is a solution to that? My plan was to access the bios, boot from a windows 10 usb installation, use command prompt to erase any left overs on the in total 3 drives in the machine and then install windows 10 from scratch. I really do not know how else I can save this pc. Bonus info: The reason we decided to full reset is because we kinda got attacked by some nasty malware and adware. We tried to save it other ways but.... yeah... I hope someone in here can help me somehow - Codebr3ker
  11. Hey. I´m thinking about upgrading my GTX 970 to a GTX 1080 but I don´t know if it would be to bottleneck my system, since my cpu is an intel i5 6400 2.7 GHz and I have 8 gb ddr4 memory. Should I upgrade my cpu as well or is it all good?
  12. of course it´s a joke, but I know someone whos case might actually would take damage..
  13. that´s good to know, and the card does say a little bit, but my keyboard and the game covers it, lol
  14. one 80 mm intake fan at the top and a 120 mm out fan at the bottom below the gpu, and the gpu´s fan is obviously pointed downwards, where there is nothing at all, except exit holes in my case and screw holes for another fan
