I had the same problem with two WD caviar green 2tb and one WD caviar black 1tb. About HDD, I recommended migrate to Seagate. In this case Seagate FireCuda (it's hybrid) for gaming, and for general storage Seagate BarraCuda or Toshiba X300. For PC desktop I think 7200rpm is better always. My favorite combination would be: one SSD 120gb (or 128gb), one HDD seagate firecuda 2tb (or 1tb) and one 3tb 7200rpm 128mb cache for general storage. I think raid for backup is not necessary.

are you sure that in Bios > "hard disc boot priority" is marked the correct drive? I guess the firecuda

Fractal Design and Phanteks have a very nice white model cases. go to https://pcpartpicker.com/products/case/ check brands if you want; and in "External 5.25" Bays" sector, move the dot, one point to the right
-
Oh sure, because the NZXT S340 does not have front 5.25 bays. In this case some day you can buy and external USB Blu-Ray / DVD Writer / Burner
-
I think that's very good. And if necessary, someday you can add another HDD. Remember the optical drive
-
your rig is good. but you can try also with 120gb (or 128) SSD and 2tb seagate firecuda hdd
-
Seagate FireCuda about cooling: amd stock cpu cooler is very good. it is not a simple cpu cooler, it has a good presentation and also has RGB lights
-
sure, more space always is better. but keep in mind Seagate FireCuda (hybrid) 1TB (or 2) for install games, and a BarraCuda 2tb (or 3) for general storage. some twitch streamers have Seagate FireCuda for games. but for video editing and 3d rendering it's much better an SSD

Fractal Design Celsius S24 will work very fine https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nfzZxr/fractal-design-celsius-s24-876-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-fd-wcu-celsius-s24-bk If you buy Corsair H100i, remember ask about mounting adapter for your motherboard
-
i recomended 120 or 128 gb SSD for windows and some programs (like browsers) and 1tb HDD Seagate FireCuda, becose this is an hybrid drive, it has SSD Cache 8GB https://pcpartpicker.com/product/n28H99/seagate-firecuda-1tb-35-7200rpm-hybrid-internal-hard-drive-st1000dx002
-
for your purposes, if you can buy a AMD Ryzen 7 1800X. and remember that with B350 chipset you can make only Crossfire (not SLI)
-
you can use "DDU Display Driver Uninstaller" for clean uninstallation and try install driver again
