  1. http://ark.intel.com/products/28024/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-E4300-2M-Cache-1_80-GHz-800-MHz-FSB I'm sad to say that I think that computer has run its course unless you want to try replacing the CPU with a Q6600.
  2. They say a person's primary goal in a debate is not to sway the opposing side, but to sway the audience. I am glad to see that we are at least somewhat achieving this goal.
  3. I see I'm getting nowhere with this. I have other things I need to be doing anyways. Good luck everyone.
  4. Same difference between the two, and if the difference is negligible this early in development in a game that was ported, why are you complaining?
  5. Ok, let's look at your numbers. When both CPUs are running at 100%, DX12 is outperforming DX11 by about 10-15 FPS. Even when not, DX12 seems to be outperforming DX11.
  6. Once again, not actually understanding any of my posts and projecting. Your bench is nothing I haven't seen before. 20% performance boost on low-end PCs as they were more CPU bound, which is what DX12 focuses on. (NOTE: Despite being on r/AMD, this is running a Nvidia GPU and i3.
  7. 3.1 But XP has been the most resilient, and windows 7 has been the most popular.
  8. I also can't wait to get a Node 202 and paint it white like this one to go alongside my Xbox one S. (nix the heart)
  9. I wish. That man has good taste.
  10. Multiple Partitions: http://plugable.com/2014/09/09/plugable-tech-tips-how-to-partition-and-format-a-new-hard-drive-or-ssd/ At the end, just make each one half the total size. Dual booting Mac and Windows:
  11. I understand that feeling. A Hyper 212 evo would be better and quieter. You would just put two partitions on the SSD.
  12. As far as I'm aware, it hasn't changed much, but I'm in much the same boat.
  13. This is a 24 port, but is this what you are looking for? https://www.amazon.co.uk/TRENDnet-TC-P24C6-24-Port-Unshielded-Patch/dp/B0000AZK72/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1490222940&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=trendnet+24-port+cat6+unshielded+wall+mount+or+rackmount+patch+panel%2C+tc-p24c6
  14. This video was just posted today by Oxide Games at Capsaicin 2017:
  15. lCases I have been looking at for the same purpose: Fractal Node 202 - (Can support slim 240 radiator and 12mm fan when GPU waterblock attached) - $70-80 10L Zaber Sentry - $230+S&H (Check GPU support for overheight GPUs) 7.1 L NFC S4 Mini - $252 with riser card and power switch (ITX cards only under 8", external power brick w/pico psu/ HD Plex 300) 4.3L As you can tell, I'm not a huge fan of the "Cube" design.
  16. DX12, while not yet improving the top end of the results, has been a definite boost for mid-range PCs, which a far greater number pf people use, especially when compared to 7700k's and 1080tis. https://www.hardocp.com/article/2016/04/19/dx11_vs_dx12_intel_cpu_scaling_gaming_framerate/ These benefits will come in time as the technology matures. Again, this is historically evident from every other API that's come out.
  17. And if you don't believe those photos because they're "AMD marketing wank", http://www.legitreviews.com/maxwell-gpu-users-get-nvidia-vxao-ambient-occlusion-technology_179773
  18. Someone's a Salty Sue. DX12, like all new standards, will take time to mature. The same thing happened with DX10 and 11, ad nauseam.
  19. I never expected the project to cost less than $150 per case. In fact I'm glad that you guys are doing everything you're doing, and am happy with the amount of support you all are getting with the cost that comes with not cutting corners. I'm happy that you guys are also including everything in with the case itself as well. I was mostly reminiscing about the beginning of the project and how far everything has come. I had done some prototyping with case designs as well, and even get it up to the point where if I decided to, I could build it in-house with my design. Even with all that, the price came out to $75 a case and I would have extremely limited runs. The fact you are building it how you are building it at the price you are with all the stuff you include still impresses me. I wish nothing but success for this, and am sorry if I came across in any other manner.
  20. True, but hearing "Blast it with a hair drier" kinda gets the EE in me to cringe. I know people who have killed Quadros by blowing them out without grounding them.
  21. It may just be the copper oxidizing into cupric oxide in that instance. Still should not affect cooling performance to any significant degree.
