  1. So I splurged and bought the Acer Predator X35 200Hz with HDR. So far it's quite nice but I feel like my colors and everything aren't quite right plus I can not get HDR to work like at all. I tried it in Destiny 2 and it looked horrible like dark as hell and just wrong, I couldn't even adjust the sliders in the game because I couldn't see them. Also even when trying to watch HDR videos on netflix or youtube it didn't look good. Could it be a monitor issue or just the wrong settings or what? Spending $2000 on a monitor I obviously want it to be perfect.
  2. Does anyone know how good the X35 is? For such a high price I would think it would be beautiful display and great for gaming but on amazon they are all over the place.
  3. The LG looks to be out of stock everywhere and the X35 looks quite good but I wonder if the TN panel will make it look cruddy?
  4. So I have tried everything from 3440x1440 34" 100Hz to currently using 1080p Benq 240hz and I just can't ever feel satisfied with the monitors I use. I absolutely feel the difference in lower refresh rates and responsiveness with input lag so I love the 240hz but I hate how fuzzy 1080p looks. I love ultrawides but they usually have lower refresh rates or other issues like ghosting. I have a 32" 1440p VA panel 165hz which I like but it feels quite sluggish for some reason. Is their a perfect monitor out there for me?
  5. I currently have the alienware 34" ultrawide 120hz and it's beautiful but I prefer higher refresh rates and when I stream I don't like the black bars it gives. So I'm wanting the best 144/165hz TN panel with gsync for the fastest response shed input lag for games like overwatch and battlefield etc...
  6. So basically for an ultra wide my only option for high refresh and good pixel density is the new Alienware... Damn it's expensive.
  7. I'm afraid i'll have to wait until the 200hz ultrawides come out later but they're gonna be so expensive I don't think i'll be able to afford it.
  8. So I have a 2560x1440p 27" monitor thats IPS and gsync with overclocked to 165hz and it's great but I really want a ultra wide but i'm afraid if I go 3440x1440p i'll eventually have to keep upgrading to keep up with the demand but I do love how they look. Also I do notice a difference when at 120hz refresh compared to my normal 144hz plus As I tested this on my current monitor last night. So my thinking was going 34" ultrawide 2560x1080p would get me the ultrawide and also allow me to push higher fps but it scares me that it will look all pixelated and I couldn't see shit at a distance. I do have a 1080p 24" now and playing pubg and fortnite I can definitely notice enemies at a distance are much harder to make out compared to the 1440p monitor.
  9. I'm just afraid after 30 days i'd have some sort of issue with the monitor and i'd be screwed with a $1k monitor that has issues.
  10. Is it better than the alienware? I just wanna make sure if I do spend a ton that it's got a high refresh and is ultra wide at least 3440x1440 and is a great end all monitor for me lol. I play mainly pubg/fortnite so I want to at least take advantage of the 120fps/120hz
  11. So currently my monitor is a 27" IPS 165hz with Gsync and it's nice don't get me wrong but I was thinking of upgrading to a 3440x1440 with at least 120hz refresh if possible. Is the Alienware ultra wide that can over clock to 120hz worth it or is their something else that's better?
  12. Hmmm I actually haven't seen his video on it.
  13. So currently I have a 1440p IPS 165hz with Gsync monitor that I do like and a 240hz TN panel with 1 ms response I also like but I always switch between the two for certain games and it's kind of a pain in the neck. So I was thinking of selling both of these monitors for this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072C7TNC5/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza , it's a 49" ultra wide. According to reviews they say you can essentially use it as multiple monitors so I could put the game in the middle then twitch chat and discord on the sides? Is this monitor worth it? Is the 1080 going to be terrible at that big of a screen? The majority of the time I wouldn't be playing at the full resolution because I stream the games a lot and would need the sides for chat and stuff. I'm just trying to hit the sweet spot with resolution as in it looks really nice but also doesn't tax my system a ton as I really want high framerate for competitive games as I stream a lot of those. That's why I prefer the 240hz but man the 1080p is ugly but the 1ms is really nice too.
  14. So a few years ago I had digital storm build my pc and it was great but I am now upgrading to an 8700k and ASUS Rog Maximus X Hero mobo, new 3200mhz ram a 960 EVO SSD and using my existing 1000 watt PSU and other HDD's. I currently have the Velox case from Digital Storm. My question is is this a good case for building my new computer? Am I better off with a different case? Also I've never swapped a motherboard out and have only applied thermal paste one time so do I go with the pea method or spread it around with a finger under a plastic bag? Any advice would be greatly appreciated it. I just wanna make sure I build a nice computer and avoid any headaches if possible.
