  1. Any site dealing with credentials (like a forum) should have encryption. I recommend the PositiveSSL certificate from https://www.ssls.com/(part of Namecheap). They're pretty cheap and they have some guides on installing them.
  2. You should go for a PCIe card. USB is usually slower.
