wildgg reacted to Gat Pelsinger in Can you predict Intel's IMC bin?
@will0hlep It's all upon your needs. Your system seems to be pretty high end so it should be doing fine, but if you have the money and desire for more performance luxury, then DDR5 will be faster, period (except that one time where DDR5 is slower in CSGO, but hey, CS2 is here).

wildgg reacted to YoungBlade in Can you predict Intel's IMC bin?
There's not going to be a strong correlation between the two. DDR4 and DDR5 have fundamental differences in how they work, which means they aren't going to be using the same parts of the memory controller.
If you go to DDR5, you'll be starting from scratch to find out what's stable. But I wouldn't recommend it anyway, unless your application or game is particularly memory bandwidth sensitive.
What are you doing that makes you want to buy a whole new board and RAM for what is likely to be a 5-10% performance boost in most day-to-day tasks and games, if you see an improvement at all?

I can't answer this question, but I can tell you that buying DDR5 ram faster than about 6000Mhz cl36 will have such a minimal effect on performance that you would get almost equal value by flushing money down the toilet.

wildgg reacted to Needfuldoer in if i have a good amount of programs installed on my pc will it hinder my performance even if i have them closed?
They're not going to bog your PC down when they're not running, they'll just take up space.

With your PC specs you shouldn't notice any performance difference between having those programs on or off

wildgg reacted to TatamiMatt in NZXT H9 Flow + RTX 4090 Aorus Master - Please Help...
Dust will build up quicker but just requires slightly more cleaning
Airflow should actually be better as there is much less restriction, constriction and obstruction for parts to pull in colder air and get rid of it easier

wildgg reacted to RONOTHAN## in Program to change RAM speed in windows
Not really a thing. The main reason is that changing the memory ratio (the thing that changes when changing the memory speed) requires retraining the memory to have any ounce of stability, and thus requires a system reboot. The closest you can get is BCLK overclocking, though this changes the frequency of everything in the system and you will need to compensate by changing the CPU ratio at the same time (this also usually requires having a board with an external clock gen, so a fairly high end motherboard) and gets very unstable very quickly when changing the frequency more than ~5% either direction.
You can change most memory timings while in the OS though if you use a tool like ASUS MemTweakIt!, you just can't change frequency.

Yes unless that ''dent'' is to deep but it doesn't look like it.
I'd repaste and see how she runs.

re-paste it again and see how it runs.
some pastes will have a pump out effect where the paste will pump outwards when the GPU heats up and cools down. this happens with pastes from thermal grizzly for example.

Yeah, I thought so too, but they have listed every Zotac 3080 TI model that is compatible trinity and trinity OC. But for the Zotac 3090 they have only listed the trinity model... that made me think there might me an issue with the OC Model. I will ask Alphacool directly about it.
Yay... guess what brand of thermal paste I used 🫠

I'd fit the biggest your case allows and what's within budget.
280 will do better and lower noise since you can run the bigger fans at a lower speed.
I havent owned an NZXT cooler since the x61 coolers but i dont hear many complaints about NZXT other than price.

3..Type list disk .(look for your disk number, check the size of the disk)
4. Type select disk <disk number>. example: select disk0 (select the disk you want to format)
5. Type clean.
7. Close the command prompt window.
8. Continue the Windows Setup installation.

wildgg reacted to Agall in 4300G enough?
It'll do just fine at 4K playback. Just make sure the motherboard supports HDMI 2.0 at least.
I run my TV off a PC, who's hardware swaps depending on whatever side project I'm doing. The M.2 drive with the OS configured for such is like the neighborhood cat. Ensuring HDMI 2.0 output is the only real requirement, where anything capable of doing that is also capable of doing the task at hand.
My i7 4790k on the other hand only came with an HDMI 1.4, which means it needs some sort of e-waste display adapter (at a minimum) to run it, so its currently supported by a 3950x and GT 1030.

wildgg reacted to tkitch in 4300G enough?
a 4300g will output 4k video to a TV just fine.
It can't 3d render 4k well, but output is no issue.
