I agree, a Mac can be a nice "turnkey Linux" solution. (I do understand that macOS is not Linux, but there are many similarities).

And for development, you may not need the balls-to-the-wall specs of an enthusiast PC - a Mac will do fine. I personally use macOS, Win, and Linux, and they each shine in their own way. (They also each suck in varied ways, but that's a conversation for another day).

Can we please not attack each other for personal preference? By condemning a particular OS as "bad", you gain nothing, and end any chance of being able to appreciate the great features it may (or may not) have.

And lastly, I'd also like to see LTT give Macs some love. How about a Hackintosh built in an old Mac Pro tower? I'd watch that...

The raspberry pi can run c# (.NET) exe files with mono on raspbian. You can make either a windows forms application or a console application. It is a bit more limited than a full windows environment though.

Another option would be to run windows 10 IOT core on the pi. That way you can run windows UWP apps (Also C#).

I have a Xiaomi power bank which can charge and supply power at the same time. I could check it with my own head unit and 4g stick (I have a similar setup)
The power bank may shut off after a while though...

I think it is great, personally. Macbook Pro's have 16:10 screens. It is great for webbrowsing and productivity, since most websites, text documents, etc are oriented vertically.

The only thing for which 16:9 screens are better is video. But even then, having those black bars top and bottom is hardly noticeable if the bezels are black too.

Also, which appalling cooler are you using? Those temps aren't healthy for a stock 9900K.

This instability can have a couple different causes, you'll have to test components individually. Start by not stressing memory, and see if it locks up or not.
If it doesn't, run memtest over night.

simson0606 reacted to homeap5 in Multiple simultaneous RDP sessions?
Yes, it is possible, as long as you don't must see what other user do on your computer.
You must create user for every session and modify your system a little. You must use RDP Wrapper for that or modify termsrv.dll (link). Second option is better imo.
I'm not sure is it or not against policy, but it works.

Second option, if you need to see users at their work, is to use Radmin (much better than TeamViewer). It works using direct connection (instead of central server), so you must configure port forwarding (but for RDP you must do it too) and it's not free software (but is fully functional for 30 days and is cheap).
