You do need an asus board with a thunderbolt header. Gigabyte has something similar with their boards.

Using a pump for 2 separate PCs
simson0606 replied to Deuteronomy93's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
If you can have a third power supply (laptop style but 12v) you could use a relay per computer to switch on the power to the pump.- 6 replies

How many Chrome tabs can you open with 2TB RAM?
simson0606 replied to CPotter's topic in LTT Releases
With this many tabs you are probably getting close to the maximum amount of threads that Windows can manage. Each tab probably (This is my guess) has its own thread assigned to it. and 6000 threads is a lot to manage... (about 100 per core to schedule...) -
visualstudio2019 Invisible game friend in C#
simson0606 replied to jaiminator21's topic in Programming
I think you want to wrap the option selection and the switch statement in a while loop, and use one of the options as a way to stop the loop. If you want to keep information persistent between iterations of the loop you want to declare those outside (before) the loop. -

Fujitso S720 Thin Client PCIe expansion
simson0606 replied to Bruno_A's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
The card you have there is a m2 key A wireless card, not a mini pcie card. m2 is slimmer than mini pcie. There even are adapters from mini pcie to m2 key A. -
Fujitso S720 Thin Client PCIe expansion
simson0606 replied to Bruno_A's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
@Bruno_A It is a mini pcie card slot, often used for wireless cards. There are normal network cards available though: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Syba-Ethernet-Controller-1000Mbps-RTL8168C/dp/B00B524102 Also, while the slot is physically compatible with msata, it will not recognise a msata ssd. -

There would have to be a lot of carbon in the smoke to cause any kind of electrical issues (Won't be the case, especially if you have filters) Other than that, your pc might need cleaning a bit more often... At home I use a laptop near a bonfire a couple times a year for music at parties. There's a lot of smoke and debries (laptop covered in ash) and it still works fine... (Don't worry, this is an old laptop?)

You could try Custom Resolution Utility, it has worked for me to make a 1680x1050 into a 1920x1200 display

Maxwell isn't supported either... (at least, my 960 doesn't work) Kepler is the latest supported generation in Mojave (They had a official GTX680 for mac).

They are x99 systems, so many parts won't be available. But a intel 9700k or a ryzen 2700x will outperform the system listed below. CPU: 5820k Mobo: Asrock x99-ITX/AC Ram: 16gb (I think) Storage: Intel p600 128GB GPU: NVS810 Case: fractal design core 500 PSU: Seasonic Focus Gold (Or Platinum, not sure) 650

At work we have 2 of these cards in separate itx workstations to each drive 8 1080p 55 inch displays. Works like a charm. Setup is a bit of work though (have to walk back and forth to see which screen you are on ?)

The raspberry pi can run c# (.NET) exe files with mono on raspbian. You can make either a windows forms application or a console application. It is a bit more limited than a full windows environment though. Another option would be to run windows 10 IOT core on the pi. That way you can run windows UWP apps (Also C#).
