  2. We use some software at work that by default prompts users to link a phone number as their 2FA when they finish setting up their account. In reality it supports authenticators, you just have to enable that after creating your account. We have some other software that is just starting to implement and require 2FA which supports both email and phone numbers currently with support for tokens and authenticators coming in future updates since they only just added 2FA this year. Accounting industry by the way and all the software sucks in their own way.
  3. 5G version is identical except for the 5G antenna, if anything it would use more power. Going from 95% to 81% after 4.5 hours with a little screen time very much seems normal to me. What was your previous phone?
  4. Uhh, that seems like fairly normal battery usage and seems to match up with the battery life in this article https://www.droid-life.com/2020/10/15/google-pixel-pixel-4a-5g-battery-life-how-good/

  7. FTFY. Only the 192.168.0.0/16 space is private (not counting 10.0.0.0/8 and 172.16.0.0/12). Pedantic, I know.

Originally my build was justified because of VFIO but I stopped using that and I don't play any really demanding games anymore. Maybe Cyberpunk will push it once it releases in 2077...

  10. Mullvad is pretty good, no personal information unless you use a payment method tied to you but you can straight up mail them money without a return address and of course cryptocurrencies.

Just whacked my temple good with my headphones because one side slipped out of my hand as I was putting it on. Did not feel good, would not advise doing,

Took a little bit of searching but found an ebay seller that has the Civic side mirror actuator part I needed for $20. Honda isn't very cash money and only sells the whole assembly for like $200+.

Gotta love executive speak. Looking at the "data sheet," looks like it uses "AI" to have better OCR to extract data from forms and then either do some tasks automatically and/or pipeline it into some other external system.

If you already have credits towards it and you're halfway decent at that sort of stuff you might as well. Something extra to tack onto your degree section of your resume. I have two minors simply because I had enough elective slots open to do them plus the advanced electives of my major I wanted, not really a downside other than a lot of the CS professors sucked.

More like 1 data drive to 1 archive because no striping, so killed by both.
  16. The poster of this blog stated in the comments he got 16GB working. https://poyu.co.uk/2018/05/22/upgrading-the-cpu-in-the-rs3412rpxs/ No idea on particular SKUs for RAM that would work but probably run of the mill 1333/1600 ECC would work.

I'm still running the January build of Outlook which doesn't have this cursed calendar update.
  18. It's been their enterprise version for a long time now. TrueNAS Core is pretty much FreeNAS 11 with more features. It's at RC1 now which iX has stated the quality is akin to the full release quality of previous versions so it's pretty safe to upgrade to. LawrenceSystems on YT has a video on the features here: And on the RC1 here: Also actually on topic, another utility to test pool speed is fio. Jim Salter has an article on it to test speeds https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2020/02/how-fast-are-your-disks-find-out-the-open-source-way-with-fio/
  19. They're combining the FreeNAS/TrueNAS codebase into TrueNAS Core. Article discussing since I can't find a decent iX page about it https://www.servethehome.com/freenas-is-dead-long-live-truenas-core/

Nah they'll just change the name and call it new. MS loves changing the names of products as much as Google loves killing them.
  22. Went looking through the manual for it and the only other option I can think of would be turning secure boot in the advanced settings somewhere.
  23. Sounds like the CMOS battery is dead or missing if it's not saving settings. If you go the main Boot options menu what does it show? Does the USB drive even show in the BIOS as a bootable option?
