I'm sad, I have to move away from Manjaro Linux.

    Cause VMWare Workstation installer/updater breaks on every distro version update and I absolutely need Workstation for my class. I've spent 6+ hours trying to get the installer to work right and it just won't, followed the Arch guide and everything.

    oh, rip.  Would virtualbox work?  I take it the answer is no...

     

    Another distribution, perhaps one that's more well supported and user friendly then, at least for the mean time.

    Virtualbox doesn't import .vmx files, so no.

     

    I'm just going to use Xubuntu 16.04 for now.

    I might be able to use KVM though now that I'm looking at it.

    I feel for you. I used to work with VMs all the time, and problems like that were a pain. But, I was also a sad case of stupidity, seeing that my favourite Linux distros are all dead/no longer supported :(
