I'd like it to be a mini itx or smaller. Going this route vs a prebuilt pia router as to have the option to use this as a storage server in the future.

Prebuilts that are fanless go for $416 ish. If I'm wanting to keep a constant 1gbps flow I'd like to have more power than is necessary in case load gets high.

i actually have Old computers lying around. plus I'd like to make this a nas/router. My house uses home plugs so , I'd like to feed the plugs a more reliable connection. Why spend the money for a Pre-built nas when i can just add the ssd drives to a computer i have lying around.
