  1. Give our tech support guys a call, they'll be able to help you out over the phone to do a hard reset.
  2. I wouldn't suggest that. For now, let it dry out for a couple of days before plugging it back in. There is no way to find out at the moment if your KB has been damaged or not, best is to wait until you connect it again.
  3. First time I have heard of this issue, so it's possible that you have faulty unit. But before going the RMA route, one thing is worth trying. In Corsair CUE, try re-flashing the KB's FW again and see if it'll fix the issue. if not, then I'd suggest that you contact our tech support so they can walk you through on resetting your KB's memory bank.
  4. You should yell back at them j/k As long that you are asking the right qualifying questions before making the recommendation, then I don't see any quarrel on that. By now we all know that CX is not for everyone, but it is reasonable to say that it is a viable solution for average system builds.
  5. This says it all! Informative and has all the factual data that you need to know about the CX. It's definitely worth reading, Thanks for taking the time to put this together, such effort
  6. yeah, that's right! Thanks airdeano
  7. For this? then yes, your RM650 will be fine
  8. You'll be fine with your 750ti... Single 980ti, you'll be fine as long that you keep everything stock. That said, I wouldn't consider it as a long time solution.
  9. If you really want to take advantage of Corsair link, then yes, RMi would be the choice. But if you just want a solid PSU to support your system without the extra bells and whistles, then RMx would be ideal for its quality and value.
  10. It is highly unlikely that your brother's CX will take out any of the hardware in his system. The CX has a built in protection to prevent further damage to other components in case an unexpected failure happens. But for argument's sake, let's say his CX failed and for some unknown reason caused damaged to some hardware in his system. If that happens, report it right away to our support team and they will take the necessary steps to make sure that your brother is well compensated for the damaged hardware caused by our PSU.
  11. What are you running with it?
  12. I don't exactly remember where, but I thought I saw some 750D build where they have the 3.5 drives mounted behind the mb tray.
  13. Yup, 730T and 760T side panels are interchangeable. You can swap them out in different combo.
  14. I think the 450D is a pretty solid case for its price, nothing too fancy, just a good old Obsidian quality. I think its $120 right now in neweeg.
  15. Might not be a bad idea, I could always use an extra hand
  16. Yeah, I know what you mean. Don't get me wrong though, Air540 is still my second favorite Corsair case next to our 800D. I had used mine for about a year and a half, then it just got to the point that I needed a change, no issue or what so ever, just wanted something new, that's all. Good luck finding a new case
  17. For that spec alone with no OC, VS550 is an option and will do fine.. BUT if you can somewhat stretch your budget a bit, then the CS you mentioned above would be a better option over the VS. Yes, it is not our best PSU, but for that particular build, it'll get the job done w/o breaking the bank.
  18. For a single 980Ti card, 650w is totally fine.
  19. Totally missed this post, sorry about that. But yeah, that kind of make sense if you ask me - the options are more streamlined so to speak, making the CX more appealing price wise while creating an opportunity for the CS to be the new "Basic/Builder" type of system PSU.. I actually get that, but as we all know, marketing guys are the ones in charge of putting each PSU family in it's category according to cost, quality, performance etc. So I am sure there is a good reason why they couldn't just bring down the CX to the VS level and drop MSRP, there has to be a good explanation if the PSU product manager decided to put that in play.
  20. Are you talking about this? The replacement color inserts are going to be available this month.
  21. Sounds like a pretty standard build, so yes, that CX is good enough for that system. BUT of course, like what others suggested in this thread, there are other options worth considering.
  22. You can't go wrong with an HXi PSU. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=392
  23. If your system is working fine and dandy, then your system will be mostly likely fine.. and don't worry, It wont' blow up.
  24. No argument there, I just thought the capacitors on the cables RMx is using is good enough to warrant the extra £5,
