Computer fell of desk, case foot broken
Corsair Joseph replied to MoonlightSylv's topic in Power Supplies
Glad to see that you were able to fix it. Otherwise, It would have been harder for us to resolve this since we don't have the feet as a spare part. But for future reference, George would occasionally check this forum, but the main contacts here are Johan and myself -
Fitting a 240mm Cooler in top of Corsair Spec-Alpha Case
Corsair Joseph replied to kirashi's topic in Cases and Mods
I appreciate the heads up. But yeah, SPEC-Alpha case does not have clearance on top to slip in a 240rad AIO cooler - that case was never designed for that particular set up. If you notice how your H100i V2 rad + fans covering the upper part of you mobo, it's almost touching the pump. I'm just impressed that you've manged to fit that cooler in there without heavy modification- 4 replies

I went and checked if there is space on the bottom to add a 3rd fan, there's not enough space to fit another fan even a 16mm... simply no clearance.

I do agree, all those steps are pretty much on point. That's exactly how I would say it -
Do you mind posting a screen shot? Thanks

H80i GT giving inconsistent temps, help!
Corsair Joseph replied to AaronJ89's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Try this one, http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html You could also try reseating the pump, I just doubt that it'll make a difference. Tbh, those temps are well within the comfort zone, so i wouldn't really worry about it too much. Your system is stable right? -
H80i GT giving inconsistent temps, help!
Corsair Joseph replied to AaronJ89's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
For some reason, I thought you have an Intel CPU. But yeah, unfortunately Corsair Link and AMD system have been problematic for us with regards to reading CPU temp, they simply don't go well together. And anyone can correct me if I am wrong, afaik there are a lot of applications out there that had issues when it comes to reading AMD CPU temp. Have you tried HWMonitor or AIDA and see if the readings are the same as Corsair Link. -
CPU reaches 70 degrees C when idle
Corsair Joseph replied to Aztec's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Happy to hear that you've got everything sorted out. Just in case you run into any issues again with the replacement cooler, let me know. -
6000rpm? That can't be right. Where are getting that reading? Have you installed Corsair Link Software?

H80i GT giving inconsistent temps, help!
Corsair Joseph replied to AaronJ89's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
What temps are you actually getting on each cores from Corsair Link? It's probably best if you post a screen shot of Corsair link showing all the Core temps. -
It should be like any other premium mice, almost effortless. If you feel like you really have to press hard just to execute a command, then its a possible defect on the unit. I am not familiar with BB's insurance policy, but you can always submit an RMA request and get that unit replaced. You can send your request here

Agreed! Just to be clear on what dragoon is referring to, CX550M - Semi modular
-
And what's that simple thing? It'd be nice to add rubber grommets, but that will add cost for a case that's specifically made for budget builds.

Sorry for the late reply, CreepingDeath. That behavior sounds like its related to FW. If you haven't sorted this out, I'd suggest that you give our tech support guys a call and they will be able to walk you through on hardware reset for your KB. That should take care of that. If not, let me know right away.

power supplies Power Supply Program Sparking
Corsair Joseph replied to Goliathx's topic in Power Supplies
I totally missed this post, my fault. Since this is a late reply, I really hope that you're no longer using that PSU. I'd strongly suggest that you take it out and send it back to us via RMA so we can get you a replacement. If you have done that already, post your ticket and I may be able to assist on speeding up the process. -
What cooler should I get?
Corsair Joseph replied to Wihan E's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
If you're doing some kind of overclocking, there's an H110i GT (280mm) that's for $99 at Amazon. I thought it was a good deal. Here's a pretty good point of reference to see it how it fares against other coolers, http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cases_cooling/corsair_h110i_gt_review/8 -
CX will run it but not ideal for that build. For $20 more, you can get the CX550M over at Amazon I think, and that I think is a better alternative.

The ML series fans are now available, it's worth checking out. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16835181112

If you have been using the cooler and never had an issue except changing TIM, then it must be a contact issue... like what's been said above, re-seating the pump on top of the CPU would typically get it fixed. Checking the pump's rpm is also worth checking just to be sure, like what Cracklingice suggested. It should be around 2200rpm range.

Do SP fans make a difference?
Corsair Joseph replied to OsuMasterz's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I'd agree with this. Just wait for the new SP fans that are coming out next month, they are static pressure fans with an improved LED design. -
it is legit You probably created an account on our website and signed for a newsletter?

SF450 or SF600, because it seems less would be enough...
Corsair Joseph replied to Serath's topic in Power Supplies
I'm with STRMfrmXMN on this one, 600w. Plus, you have a 980Ti, I think 600w is recommended for that card. And yes, the fan dynamic (Zero-RPM mode) in the SF PSU is bound to system load and internal temp. Less stress the system sees, smaller the chance you'll see the fan kick in.
