Went thrifting yesterday. Unfortunately they didn't have a lot of interesting stuff, but I found a few books, got 'em for a buck each.

Anyone who went to a German language school will be familiar with these little yellow books, they're by a publisher that specializes in literary classics either written in or translated to German, so they can be found in schools a lot since they're typically fairly cheap.

    The translated titles are:
    Fyodor Dostoevsky - Poor Folk
    Fyodor Dostoevsky - White Nights
Gottfried Keller - A Village Romeo and Juliet
    Gustav Meyrink - The Golem
Plato - The Apology of Socrates and Critio
    Friedrich Schiller - William Tell
Edit: Fixed image, thanks for the notice @CommanderAlex

For plugging large or irregular holes with a passthrough hose for adding smoke. For blowing smoke up the largest of assholes.
Mostly exhaust and intake smoking. Turbo stuff for boost leaks, intake systems for vacuum leaks, so on.

From a quick google search it appears that the fan headers on the board are a mini version usually used on GPUs (probably since its a small ITX board). However, there should be adapters included in the box:

A tube of Arctic MX-5 to re-paste my GTX970 which currently toils away in my rather toasty SFF Living Room Gaming Box. When I took the card apart I was kind of amazed that it still held 80°C at reasonable fan speeds, given the fact that the OEM paste crumbled to pieces before my eyes (to be fair, there's 2x 120mm NF-F12 strapped to the card). Temperatures didn't drop much (if I recall correctly, I've set a target of 80°C in there somewhere), but noise level dropped a bit more, so I hope the card stays alive a bit longer. I do not fancy shopping for a new GPU given the current madness...

We finally figured it out. Though it really is a tough one. Isdera Commendatore 112i

German prototype car - only two built in total, one in 1993 and one in 1999 according to Wikipedia. Probably the only car ever to have its rear view mirror mounted to the roof 😁 Prominently featured in Need for Speed II:

All local rivalries aside - Autos bauen können sie - diese Schwaben...

    Correction / Update:
Man, this turned out to be quite the rollercoaster. The car depicted above - with the license plate SLS-CW-112 is the original Isdero Commendatore 112i. That very same car is currently property of the german ISDERA AG. Once the first car was finished, they started working on a second one - but only the frame was finished.

A few years ago, someone bought said frame and tried complete the car. Initially, the ISDERA AG wanted to cooperate, but since the buyer of the frame wanted to alter parts of the car while still trying to get it licensed under the commendatore 112i name, they subsequently refused cooperation.

It looks like the owner of the frame managed to complete the car and succeeded in receiving a license for it, however as a imperator 108i. That's the car of original post. Both parties currently are still fighting over the fact whether the 'rebuild' by a private owner can be called a true 112i , despite the fact that it wasn't build by the Isdera company and subsequently doesn't share the same heritage. Officially, the company is currently trying to resolve the issue and - I quote:

"The ISDERA management and myself are taking all necessary and possible steps to pull this craft off the road. There was and ever will be - unfortunately - only one Commendatore 112i. I sincerely hope that this affair will be settled soon and that such a vilification of the Isdera heritage will be put to an end post-haste by the authorities" - Eberhard Schulz, founder of Isdera, Sept. 2019. (Source, in German: 'Open letter by Eberhard Schul - There is only one isdera commendatore 112'

Boy did I learn something today 😅

Part of me really want to say a Spyker, Peugeot, or Renault.  But I can't find a model from any of those MFGs matching the rear of that car.

No idea what that is.  Reminds me of a 60's/70's LeMans car with the periscope for the rear view mirror.

    So,

    New bike
    Bought a 1984 GSX750ES last night!

Has problems, but I already solved the one that I expected to be a pain; the leaking fork leg. Just used a cut to size laptop privacy filter to make a DIY forkbuddy, cleaned out the oil seal, and now it does not seem to be leaking anymore!

The next problem is the fuel tank, its full of rust. Very easy to remove off the bike so I'll clean that out and coat it. The petcock is stuck too so I might replace that while I am at it, it's like €50 for a new one.

One of the rear indicators is held on by tape, headlight glass has a small hole in it, intake rubbers might need replacing but I'm not sure, carbs might need a cleaning/rebuild but not sure. Going to do tires and fluids before summer 2021

The good stuff is that the brake rotors, brake hoses and fluids seem to have been replaced very recently and seemingly by OEM parts. The exhaust is aftermarket 4 into 1, sounds and looks great. The seat has been reclad at least once and is in decent condition. Basically all electronics besides the killswitch on the side stand seem to be in good nic. Only a small amount of surface rust in a couple of places. Sprockets and chain are in good condition but chain needs a clean and relube probably.

86000km on the meter, paid €510
    Oh
yah and the battery is sideways for some reason
