  1. whenever i booted into windows i made sure to run prime 95 for a couple of minutes while watching hw monitor and it would stay at 3.2 ghz
  2. when i change my oc settings in the bios and boot into windows they dont apply but when i go back in the bios the settings are still there
  3. I'm planning on buying a new higher refresh rate monitor real soon so I thought I might as well get a new GPU (i also have 2 monitors)
  4. I was looking at a G1 gaming priced at $218, that's why I asked if I should wait because that's a great price (I think)
  5. yea I guess I'll wait till CES to confirm, or disprove, the rumors and get a semi-firm release date. my 970 will live to see another year ?
  6. I've been eyeing some used GTX 1070's for a while now, I decided to wait till after Christmas to pick one up since people could be getting rid of their old ones to grab the new RTX cards. But now I'm second guessing myself since I read that one of the new Navi GPUs (which may be released early next year) could be around $250 and be better than the RTX 2070. so I was wondering if I should take a risk and wait till the Navi cards to come out and pray that the rumors were true or should I just buy the 1070.
  7. im aware, its just that in the past buying a older generation rather than a newer generation card is a bad idea especially for reselling, but with the weird gpu market another 970 might be the better choice.
  8. lmao i play many triple a games so it would go to good use
  9. i have one other problem, how should i go about selling my 970 if i dont have the box?
  10. ya, i just started looking into buying a 1070 and not the monitor.
  11. thanks for the idea! I think ill sleep on it and see what i think in the morning.
  12. well i saw one for like $330 last week, the 970 would have better performance in sli but newer hardware tends to be better in the long run i believe.
