  1. okay fair enouugh but is it worth saving up to supgrade my 2070 with a 2080 super or should i jsut get a 2060 super for my htpc and call it a day?
  2. what sort of stuff are you into im personally into the more "micro manament games" as i call them so some of my faves are cities skylines (spiritual successor to sim city) factorio satisfactory prsion arcitect planet coaster (spiritual successor to rollercoaster tycoon) other games worth looking at on pc you may aswell pick up a copy of GTA v since you can reguallt fine it for under £15 these days if you want to dip your toe into modding deffo pick up skyrim or fallout 4 will give you a uniquie way to replay those games
  3. Hi, I have a decition to make but i cant decide which one to do So currently i have two pcs Main PC Ryzen7 2700 16gb ram msi 2070 gaming z 2tb ssd HTPC/NAS Ryzen 5 2600 16gb ram MSI Ventus OC 1650 1TB SDD + 4x 12TB HDD in RIAD 10 My question is this currently my HTPC is mainly used for watching movies in 4k either directly from the machine or serving them to other devices via plex now the 1650 is fine for this however i want to start playing some more games on this machine as about the only thing it can handle is minecraft and i have to play in 1080p and up scale for decent framerate so my question is this obviosuly the bottle neck here is GPU so do i save up and buy a 2060 super for my HTPC or do i double down and buy a 2080ti for my main pc and put the 2070 (non super) in my htpc. also if your wondering why i even bothered with th 1650 in the first place i was given it for free by a friend who got a prebuilt in a sale and upgraded the graphics card for a 2060
  4. not sure that cooler will fit in the core 500? also id like to go higher on the powersupply as hopefully it outlasts this build like the psu in my main rig did so it just gives more headroom in the future.
  5. just give them some time I get about 20/30 tickets a day at my office and ill be honest somthing like this is a low proity issue as it has no inpact on the business
  6. you sure that stuff isnt blocked on their network i have set our guest network at my work to only 10mbps bandwith even though we have a 10gig line as well as blocking all social media as our office has alot of stuff under embargos and ndas ect. so to try and minimise leaks that stuff is blocked

    YouTube adverts

creators dont have any control really over what ads are served on their videos its all done algorithmically based on you as a user rather than the creator so i might see an advert on a video about the new land rover defender cause i look at a lot of landrover parts but somone else might see adverts about perfume on the exact same video cause google determins thats a more aproptiate advert for them. advers like the one you sore its likley that they pay for all ages and demographics.
  9. Hi Guys, I am planning on building a HTPC for my lounge/livingroom I have already purchased the GTX 1650 gprahics card to go in this system my plan is to do some light gaming directly on here (mainly minecraft and fortnite) and anything more demanding such as whicher, watchdogs 2 gta v ect i can do in home streaming from my main machine upstairs with a 2070 in it. I also plan on using this machine as a plex server so I will be adding a 6TB HDD for movies that i have on top of the 1TB SSD for windows and games.Thats also why i went with a Bluray drive on this machine as i wanted to be able to watch blu ray/ rip them to the HDD. take a look at the specs and see what you think im trying to make it as much of a budget build as possible while still getting decent performance PCPartPicker Part List: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/PfWLDx CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£179.99 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 (2018) 57.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (£66.78 @ Aria PC) Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard (£101.06 @ Amazon UK) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory (£71.58 @ Aria PC) Storage: Crucial P1 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£96.26 @ Amazon UK) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1650 4 GB VENTUS XS OC Video Card (Purchased For £0.00) Case: Fractal Design Core 500 Mini ITX Desktop Case (£50.98 @ Laptops Direct) Power Supply: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (£84.98 @ Amazon UK) Optical Drive: LG WH14NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer (£59.35 @ CCL Computers) Total: £710.98 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-10-18 23:35 BST+0100

  13. Hi Guys, I am about to move to the middle of nowhere the home internet there is 5-9MBps however the 4G speeds there are about 100MBps so my plan was to find a 4G pcie add in card and put a unlimited 4G sim in the machine however im not sure if such a thing exsists i have found loads of laptop 4g cards but nothing thatw would work for a desktop. has anyone seen anything like this out there?
