  1. So If I went with Schiit I would need both the heretic/magni+ and the Modi? Whats the difference between the two? I guess the Modi is what converts it to an analog signal and the heretic/magni+ is what does the amplification? Ive thought about a tube amp but not sure. How do all of these options compare to something like the Qudelix 5K? Thanks
  2. Just ordered a pair of HD600s, thinking I may want a DAC for them and thought id ask for recommendations that don't break the bank. Not sure if im looking for a desktop DAC or a portable one. I think Ideally one I can make portable. Not sure if Ill pick one up yet or not, going to try without one for now but considering it. Thoughts?
  3. Anyone know where I can get a copy of the MineOS ISO built on Turnkey linux? Looks like the link on the website no longer works Thanks
  4. Having some issues at work with an IPSec tunnel and thought Id ask here. Its specifically an issue with a computer at one end of the tunnel. The TL;DR is a computer 10.0.4.68 (Windows 11) needs to connect to 192.168.0.40 across this IPSec tunnel. It cant ping 192.168.0.40 when it has the 4.68 address, but changing to a 4.69 address works. If I put a SSL VPN native to the 192.168.0.0 subnet on the 4.68 PC, it works correctly. I need the 4.68 PC to stay as 4.68, I cant change the IP unfortunately. Using Sophos XG firewalls at both ends of the tunnel. The Tunnel is set to allow 192.168.0.0/24 and 10.0.4.0/24 to talk to each other with no restrictions. Switches are a variety of Ubiquity switches. Both firewalls can ping the respective 0.40 and 4.68 addresses, and other computers on either network can ping either address. So far I have: Rebuilt the IPSec Tunnel Tested from other computers Preformed a network reset on the 4.68 PC Rebooted both firewalls Im stumped. Thoughts?
  5. Ill try and remember what I did when I have a chance to look through the BIOS later tonight. I got it working I think but its kind of jank
  6. Im trying to either completely restart animal crossing or kick my ex off the island and I cant seem to do either. Ive looked at videos that say go to Settings > Data Management > Animal Crossing > Delete save data but 'Delete save data' isnt there. If I go into animal crossing and open settings and choose move another resident off the island, I cant move my ex. I'm assuming she's the resident representative. Ive tried deleting and reinstalling the game with no luck. I have all other users / Miis deleted from the switch as well. Thoughts? Edit: I think I figured it out. The tutorial I found had 'Delete save data' in a different place.
  7. Looking to try Linux for a while on my work laptop, and not sure if I want to use Kali, Mint, or Manjaro. Also open to other options. I do IT so I could see the networking tools of Kali being useful, I just need to learn to use them. Mint and Manjaro both look alright as well. I mainly work in Windows environments but who needs windows, am I right? What would you suggest?
  8. I got offered a free shop air compressor if I can make it disappear from its current home and I don't have anywhere to put it.

    Woe is me.

    Its like 60gal.

If it were me I'd leave it in the back of my truck and worst comes to worst sell it on marketplace or scrap it if I couldn't sell it quick enough

  9. This is kind of outside my realm of expertise but thought id start here. I have a Probotix v90mk2 CNC router and am using a Dewalt DW618 as the actual router. Wondering if its possible to hand speed control over to the CNC machine instead of the dial on the router itself. Extra curious if i can do it without buying a VFD and using the one built into the router. Im using the Unity CNC Controller from Probotix to control the actual machine. (https://www.probotix.com/wiki/index.php/Unity_Controller) It looks like the router uses the N530573 Control Module https://www.ereplacementparts.com/control-module-assy-p-2820521.html#QandA for speed control. Im trying to hunt down a schematic right now but seeing if anyone has input. Not sure if it would be possible to connect the VFD connection on the Unity CNC controller to the wires for the dewalt module. Can post pictures if wanted. Thanks
  10. In my experience, console speedtests are always way off. Even when on ethernet. Used to work for an ISP and had to argue that alot with customers. Like others have said though, 2.4Ghz will give slower speeds. Id look to moving to a 5ghz channel or using ethernet.
  11. No I mean I would rather have an ATX motherboard. Ya boi likes his PCI slots
  12. A MSI B350M PRO-VH PLUS. Tbh id rather have something in ATX formfactor though
  13. Yeah I havent kept up with the market recently other than I know AMD has gotten competitive. Good to know
  14. Wow if the i3 is better than maybe it isnt worth it. Its competing against a laptop with a i5-1145G7.
