  1. Ok, I just did many different combinations and, for the first time in about a week, the mouse doesn't shut my PC off when I plug it into that port. I plugged my Blue Snowball Mic into the troubled port, then my keyboard, both of which worked and did not shut the PC down. Then I tried my mouse, and it is fully functional. I have a feeling that monotron was right about something being stuck in it. Sorry for wasting your time, if it happens again (and I can't fix it), I will be back.
  2. I will test the ports right now. PC will most likely shut down, so I may take a few minutes
  3. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZWpWsY I have 3 WD Blue 1TB drives and a Bluray drive
  4. HEY! I took my PC to my friends house and when I got back, whenever I plug my mouse into its back panel usb port, my PC shuts off. I read online that I need to reinstall my USB drivers, and if that doesnt work, get a new power supply. What I need help with is: How do I uninstall my "USB Drivers"? How do I reinstall my "USB Drivers"? If I am not headed in the right direction to solve this, feel free to let me know.
  5. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135247 It did not come with software, so that may be the issue. I went into the BIOS and it does recognize it there, but when I go into my PC, the drive does not show up (even when I try to play a DVD). It shows up in Device Manager as well. I tried uninstalling and installing the drivers and that did not work.
  6. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135247 Checked BIOS, it was recognized, Checked Device Manager, same deal. But nothing happens when I put in a Blu Ray disk. I am assuming this is because software was not included, which is frusturating. If anyone could help with the software and to get windows (10) recognizing the drive itself that would be great, thanks.
  7. Oh ok. So is there an alternative to Raid 0 where I can use all 2 tb (separated is fine)? Because when I plugged it all in and booted my computer didn't recognize the other drive in file manager. I went into device manager and the drive was there.
  8. I wanted to setup the new WD Blue HDD (1 tb) I got in RAID 0 with my other, identical, drive. While researching, I watched an older video and Linus said that this solution is unreliable. Is it actually going to make me more susceptible to hard drive failure or was he just referring to less reliable than RAID 1? Is it less safe than just sticking with my one drive or will it be no difference?
  9. I do not, but I thought I could just buy a windows 7 key from G2A and make a boot drive from my thumb drive like I did with my main build. So yea fresh install with no bloatware.
  10. Ty, and awesome I didn't even know that this existed. Is it reliable? And would I still need a fresh license? The laptop came with windows preinstalled so I would think so..?
  11. I want to give my sister my Lenovo G505s for Christmas but its like fucked up beyond repair. It has so much bloatware and viruses so I figured I should just get a fresh hard drive and windows license. What hard drive would be compatible with this laptop? http://www.staples.com/Lenovo-G505s-156-Laptop/product_572939 ^ Exact model and site I bought it from
  12. I don't know. The only reason it seemed like a scam is cause it didn't let me exit out or anything and some of the popup had like... scammy caps lock bullshit
