  1. Long time no post. Was looking for advise. I was lucky enough to get a MSI RTX 3080 TI Gaming X Trio from a Best Buy drop over the summer:https://us.msi.com/Graphics-Card/GeForce-RTX-3080-Ti-GAMING-X-TRIO-12G/Overview But, my work obtained a Gigabyte Aorus RTX 3080 TI Xtreme Waterforce that has an AIO water-cooler: https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N308TAORUSX-W-12GD#kf Due to my works use case for GPUs on test benches. Having an AIO water-cooled rad makes the card difficult to work with. They asked me if I was interested in trading my "old" RTX 3080 TI air-cool card for this brand new AIO water-cooled card. I'm on the fence about it. My current plan is to run some benchmark between the cards and see. I have one of the new Corsair 5000D cases so I'm not worried about fitting the rad. Thinking about mount the rad in a pull configuration on the back panel rad mounting location. My concerns are: The Gigabyte card feels really cheap The Gigabyte card came with no mount hardware. No extra screws for mounting the rad and a very poor manual that doesn't even talk about mount the rad at all. Even their website downloadable manual has no information on mounting the rad which I find super odd. (I have extra mounting hardware from other AIOs I bought in the past luckily) The MSI card requires 3 8 pin power and the Gigabyte is only 2 8 pin power. That seems odd. The Gigabyte card is completely shielding by this cheap feeling plastic shroud which appears to have 0 cooling for the power delivery on the card. The Gigabyte card has wires coming from the GPU to proprietary connectors to the rad fans. Positive: The GPU controls the fan speed of the included fans Negative: I can't mount the extra NF-12 I have without finding more fan headers and figuring out the fan controller settings to do GPU temps. The tubes on the Gigabyte card are sleeved but you can feel the tubing underneath is that old ripped type from early AIOs. I remember reading some negative things about those types of tubs? Read horrible things about the Gigabyte RMA process if something happens but I know I can use the vendor it was purchased from and American Express if need be through the company. Any thoughts, ideas, or advise would be much appreciated.
  2. 200 million still isn't enough money for the huge scope of Star Citizen. Most of the AAA titles coming now these days, the budgets are much higher then 200 million.

  5. Not sure how I feel about Amazon giving you a list of everything we buy with your affiliate code. BUT, I'm glad too see so many people using it and you got an awesome video out of it. Can't believe some guy bought 10 monitors in 1 shot. I would love you see a video about other stuff people buy. Or a channelsuperfun video of the obscure stuff and have the team try to guess what it's for. Mite turn out to be a funny video.
  6. Cant wait. I bought Black Mesa thinking it was just to fan make game. Come to find out at the end it was remake of Half-Life 1.
  7. I was waiting for PlayStation to release a console with 4k blu-ray support. Since they dropped the ball. I'm glad Microsoft didn't with the Xbox one S
  8. I'm enjoying this threat so much. Great read. I use to work in retail for 8 years so I can relate. I never understood in retail why smart people turn really stupid when it comes to being customers. I'm on the sellers side. Glad we got his side of the story and the seller stayed professional. I'm not an Ebay user but I mite become one now knowing that people take it very seriously.
  9. I got 3 extra keyboads: logitech g15, g19, and K95 RGB Asus GTX 680 directcu TOP card Some random mouses An original PSP still in box Nvidia Shield
  10. During high school I played a lot of the classic and burning crusade WoW. At those times when I was playing the most, my GPA was the highest. Has soon has I started to be social and meeting girls my grades dropped.
  11. I know lots of people that have brought GPUs with them has carry-on while the rest of their computer was in the check luggage and they never had issues. Show up early with the intention that they mite want to check it out. They will do their swab test on it to check if has touched explosive material. When it all comes back negative they will send you on your way.
  12. I have seen things like that back in the day when people use to run speakers throughout the house to their stereo systems. Maybe? Or an old alarm system wiring?
  13. Are only the 10 series card effected by the SLI link cable/bridge? Or has some new driver effected older cards running sli?
  14. I don't understand where this myth came from. I assume it's from people that don't understand business. Significant number of Blizzard shares were owned by a company called Vivendi Universal. Vivendi was the controlling shareholder at the time. "On July 9, 2008, Activision officially merged with Vivendi Games, culminating in the inclusion of the Blizzard brand name in the title of the resulting holding company. On July 25, 2013, Activision Blizzard announced the purchase of 429 million shares from majority owner Vivendi." A merge and acquisition are completely different things. Also Activision-Blizzard is a publishing company that was created when Activision and Vivendi Games merged. Vivendi decided to use the brand name Blizzard. Blizzard is a game studio, Activation is a publisher. Blizzard still publishes their own games and Activision is not Blizzard's publisher so they don't have say. A good read: https://www.engadget.com/2009/04/12/activision-blizzard-is-not-blizzard/
  15. I want to play seated games on VR. Racing games I'm really excited about and games like Subnautica. I'm hoping for story games where the VR is used to experience the world while you play with a controller or mouse/keyboard. I know the touch controllers are cool but I wouldn't want to play a 11+ hour game standing up with touch controllers.
  16. I keep see Linus saying on the last few laptop reviews. "I wish the power connector was magnetic!" I can't remember or find another devices beside Apple with this kind of feature. The only thing I did find was Apple owns patent US7311526B2 (I assume they own a similar patent in other countries also). Isn't this the reason why other laptop manufactures don't add this feature?
  17. I suggest if you guys ever do an another toughness test on bank banks again, to take them hiking. Have them drop out of backpacks on to rock or mud. Or just elements you mite find on a camping trip where you would bring a battery bank. Would be a little more realistic test. Could make a fun video also.
  18. He reminded me of my 95 year old grandpa but Linus's is a lot more with things then mine.
  19. That burn on the contractor at the end? He seemed like a nice guy and did a professional job.
  20. I have worked at a hobby store for 9 years. We had such a bad experience with DJI a few years ago has a retailer getting in contact with DJI and even been hung up on we won't sell their products. Other retailers we have talked to have had similar issues. I even talked to some retailers that got stuck with DOA product that DJI wouldn't replace. We now sell the Yuneec Typhoon. Better product, better support, and happier customers.
  21. The music in this video is fanatically epic.
  22. I'm going to quote what I said in this post: " I know for a fact Newegg will help you trouble shoot your new build which I don't believe Amazon will. I have had a great experience with both with general customer service stuff. I remember when I built my computer a few years ago with all part's from Newegg they called me the next day confirming my order and also the person on the phone said "looks like all your parts are compatible." I know when my old roommate built a computer and he had one part that wasn't compatible . Newegg called him to let him know and clarify the issue. I don't see Amazon doing that. "
  23. Twitch does just hand out sub buttons without applying for it all the time. I see Youtubes starting doing some Twitch content and they just get sub buttons very quickly and then they are surprised to see it.
