  1. I would most definitely set up a patch panel. They are pretty cheap and easy to install especially if you watch a couple YouTube vids. If organization is what you are after then this is key if you are running multiple runs to different spots in your house. If you ever need to know what cable is what later down the road you will be happy you made this addition.
  2. So you lose a couple games and then it turns off? Are you abusing your PC??
  3. Have you tried checking out event viewer.? That may shed some light on the issue.
  4. Does the light that is on the power switch light up?
  5. Do you have a spare power supply that you could try? also I would go over the board in Louis Rossman style looking for any sort of corrosion at solder points or swollen caps. IFIX it also is a great resource for Tear down/repair guides.
  6. I am no expert, But I don't think that I would trust it. Granted I have no experience with AIO coolers. You may get it attached back and it may stay for a while but you would just have a ticking time bomb in your case.
  7. Then I would go for one of the Lenovo Thin Clients like I had sent you. Maybe not the config exactly though. I had just grabbed that one fast for an example. You can get either a HDD or a smaller SSD in that price range. It does not sound like you will be storing any kind of files on this PC since everything would be remote desktop. So if that is the case I would lean towards a SSD
  8. What is your budget. ? if you are wanting something cheap as to not care as much if it dies due to bad conditions then just go for another NUC or something like one of these https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0ZX7GN7489 They are fan-less and can be mounted to the back of the monitor. We use them in an office environment where I work. there are tons of different configs of them so you can pretty much pick how much performance you want.
  9. noted. I guess my main worry is I was trying to find the same board for sale anywhere else and from what I can find the board came out in 2015, So like has it really been sitting on their warehouse shelf for that long?
  10. Hope to get some input from the community. I was going though Mechanicalkeyboard.com and looking at their Warehouse finds and It looks like they are all returns. I found a board on there that I would like to get but I am worried about what I am getting. It says on their website that they do not take any returns unless it is all together with no signs of use, and a tech goes through it to make sure everything is working properly. Has anyone ever had any experience ordering from them ??
  11. A screw extractor kit should be able to pull it out. You should be able to pick them up at any hardware store.. I wouldn't try to drill it out and risking screwing up your MOBO
  12. Also might try checking the supplemental cpu power cable. Make sure that they are all seated properly.
  13. If there is not any important data that you need saved off the M.2 then yes you can try to reformat using the CMD. I ran in a somewhat similar problem that was resolved after formatting my drive..
  14. If you are using a SATA to USB cable and it is not mounting in windows when you plug it into another PC then you probably are not going to be able to do much. I am sure there are others on this Forum who are way better at DIY data recovery But again as NeuesTestament said if the data is important then you should probably send it off.
