If you look at overclocking forums you can see what software they use there and the methods they follow. If it's a reputable forum with large scale OC competitions then their methods are probably best.

I have never used one, however I hold NO responsibility for any damage caused by following my example

Brandonien got a reaction from MightyHammer in I know that you hate that question But how many case fans do I need?
I go with the personal preference route in ATX builds.. I prefer low RPM so I use lots of large fans. Other people prefer maximum cooling and have to sacrifice a bit of silence for it, which can be solved with high end fans.

If you can run burn in tests on stuff like furmark without hitting the thermal ceiling of your CPU/GPU then you have enough, but odds are you won't reach that level without water cooling so my answer is as many fans as you can fit!

The better question is what components can you improve to dissipate heat quicker! Airflow is nice, but it's only useful if your heatsinks can remove heat fast enough to effectively use that air.

Example: You can have a ton of airflow, but with no thermal grease between the heatsink and your chip you will still have poor cooling. (I know that's extreme)

take properly focused pictures with actual lighting so people can actually see where things are in the case

You can safely ignore the advertised response times. They mean precisely dick. Just like contrast ratio nowadays.

Response times are really PIXEL response times and have to do with ghosting not the responsiveness of the monitor - what you care about is input lag, which is usually hard to find, as only indepth reviews test for it. If you really want to learn about this, see the sticky under this forum section.

But "gaming" panels usually have low input lag.
There are 3 currently known gaming 21:9`s, first two are preorderable already here and there:

    LG 29um67 - 29inch, IPS, 2560x1080, 75hz, freesync
    LG 34um67 - 34inch, IPS, 2560x1080, 75hz, freesync
    Acer XR341CK - 34inch, IPS, 3440x1440, 144hz, gsync

And i wouldnt buy anything else this year, if i really wanted to enjoy my gaming.

Hey! So I'm new to the forum, but not PCs.
Last year I got a glimpse of true inspiration for my Mini-ITX building hobby.. The Asrock M8
When this case was released I knew it was time to build my rig.

BELOW ARE THE STOCK CASE AND CONCEPT ART (Not of my concept)
My gallery is linked below and will be updated as progress is made.
My idea plays on the white theme but with flat white internals, gloss white externals, blue UV liquid cooling with chrome fittings, and some nerdy art because It needs to be that way ;P

This case was designed in collaboration with BMW (being a sports car tuner and enthusiast it was a bonus for me )
I had finally found a beautiful, well built case for my project.
It hit all the right buttons and could even fit a full height/length GPU!

    YOU CAN INPUT YOUR IDEAS!
I'm always willing to listen to helpful and creative advice!
If you see something you think can be improved let me know, I would really appreciate it.
If it's a REALLY significant idea like art work and such you may land your alias on my case somewhere.

    So begins my build log.
I've been building mini itx gaming rigs for the past eight years and FINALLY built my own.
Please keep in mind there are parts I wish I could put in this but I'm not rich so I made due

There is scope in the future to upgrade to the new x99 M-ITX and 5960x mobo/cpu combo..
Really though I want to wait until I can afford complete new internals and for Nvidia to release their Pascal architecture TITAN.

This project started last winter and I didn't really think I would be going to this extent with it but I needed to in the end to sort out cooling issues.

    The Specs:
    -Asrock M8 case
    -Core I7-4790K
    -16GB DDR3 1600
    -240GB Samsung 840 SSD
    -750GB Momentus XT hybrid drive
    -500GB 7200RPM salvage drive
    -EVGA GTX Titan
    -Silverstone 600W SFX PSU

    http://imgur.com/a/DT9jC

    Things left to be done:
    -water cooling
    -bottom panel and grill
    -clear coating external panels
-fishing line to clean up the cable sleeving
-sleeving for everything I can manage (still have some to do but pre-occupied with the case ATM)
    -cold cathod UV lighting
-Images on the side panels are in progress, hand painting takes time since it isn't my forte..

I hope you guys enjoy this build so far, The goal is a watercooled PC with UV reactive sleeving and blue UV reactive liquid! I'll find more stuff to do as I go but this is an ongoing project.
