  1. There is no fixed overclock setting that fits everyone and every scenario....you should try overclocking your card to the point where you are satisfied with the temps, acoustics and performance. By the way I have a Asus GTX 960 Black OC and I have it overclocked to 1573MHz core and 2000 MHz memory from 1443Mhz core/1753Mhz memory and it is totally stable temp peaks at around 65C at 44% fan speed.
  2. what is wrong with your current build ?
  3. 1) SP120s for radiators with high fin density. 2) You can use 2X120mm fans along with the 240mm radiator up top!
  4. The Cooler Master hyper 212 does have a little wiggle even though it seem to be mounted properly! I would not worry much about the thermal paste oozing out of the sides either.
  5. Always Build your own system ! With that off my chest..... Since you are limited to these two systems & Assuming gaming is your main concern then I would recommend the First option !

    Psu

If your PSU has a 6 or 8 pin PCI-E power connector then you should be just fine. But since the PSU that comes with the prebuilt systems is not always the best quality you could upgrade to a good 450 or 500W PSU and you should be good. The recommended PSU wattage for a GTX 960 is 400W.

  10. My graphics card just died a few days ago. I am currently in desperate need of a new card as I need it for my computer to function properly due to my MoBo not having any display outputs ! Can't wait for RX 400 series as I will most probably be out of budget for me here in India. I have narrowed the search to these two cards.... 1). Zotac Nvidia GTX960 AMP! Edition 2GB DDR5 - 128Bit PCIeX16 Graphic Card https://www.amazon.in/dp/B00SIOF8R0/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_.tOCxbYB0YAF1 2). Asus GTX960 Black OC Edition - PCI Express Graphics Card ( 2GB GDDR5, 128-Bit, Core Clock 1279 MHz : Boost Clock 1342 MHz) -GTX960-DC2OC-2GD5-BLACK https://www.amazon.in/dp/B00YB1MCJQ/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_.vOCxbD3YPN2Q Which one should I choose ? All help is appreciated!

  12. I dont believe that it is a backup ! i think it is the game installation files I took out from the directory itself in the old days ! i think its the type of files that are stored in origin games which arent installed files but the downloaded ones which when copied over start to get installed in the ORIGIN client.
  13. I have the game files but Steam doesnot recognise them as a backup ! is there some way where I can place those files in the Steam directory so that it recognises the game files .

  18. i3 is good but atleast get a i5 if you want some longevity from your CPU as the newer games are needing more and more horsepower to play them !
  19. Get a better quality power supply ! Since you are investing so much on X99, invest a little more on a quality PSU.
  20. He said that the "3" in FX83XX signifies that it is piledriver architecture. 8320 has Piledriver archecture .
  21. 990 chipset is better than 970 ! just because 970 is recommended doesnot mean that 990 or lower chipset will not work at all ! 990fxa-ud3 is great motherboard and will work totally fine with FX8350.
