  4. I just made an account and bought arkham knight. accidentally put my email address wrong gotta wait till monday to get it resolved gg no re
  5. I have a GTX 980 but no gsync monitor. I'd like to try out AMD's variable frame rate tech with their new cards.
  6. Honestly the video was amazing!!! The projector has so many cool possibilities for entertainment.
  7. This is a screenshot of the dump file. any help is appreciated
  8. I want my pc to be perfectly functional. I dont want to disable sleep because it means the underlying problem is still there.
  9. You know what. Linus always recommends populating the dual channel slots furthest from the CPU to allow more breathing room to the CPU. So basically my sticks sit on slots 2 and 4. It probably doesn't make a difference in temperature. But the motherboard does say to populate 1 and 3 first. Could that be the cause of the 'crash on wake'?
  10. If it has been asleep for a while it will most likely crash. I have all the latest drivers installed as well as the latest bios as of this moment. The Xmp profile overclocks the ram to 2666mhz. I have the dark rock pro 3. so removing the ram sticks is a b*tch! I think I'll have to test one stick at a time :'(
  11. So I built a pc last December. Using an Asus Z170-A with a 6700k and a gtx 980. I noticed that it crashes when it wakes from sleep. I suspect bad Ram. I did a clean install of windows 10 pro. I have everything running at stock except the Ram. I did 10 passes of memtest86 with xmp enabled and no errors were found. I get a BAD_POOL_HEADER error on the bluescreen when it wakes. Is the RAM bad? btw my RAM is 2x8Gb of Corsair DDR4 LPX.
  12. Rig name: ProtoType Cpu: Intel Core i7 6700k Gpu: PNY GTX 980 XLR8 Pro Ram: 16gb Corsair ddr4 Lpx 2666mhz Score: 9.6 (Very High)
  13. So a few weeks ago Intel confirmed that the skylake micro architecture suffered from a bug under certain work loads. It was supposedly fixed through a microcode fix in the bios and that motherboard vendors would roll out the update. Asus released the new bios update v1602 a few weeks ago. I recently built my first rig back in December with an Asus z170-a motherboard paired with a 6700k. I updated the bios from v1402 to the new skylake bios fix v1602 when it came out. I was hoping this update would unlock new overclocking capabilities as my chip is a bad over clocker. I finally got around the time to test my theory. Turns out that the 1602 bios flash restored the motherboard to its stock operation and undid my 4.6ghz overclock. (btw I had verified my overclock with a 4 hour stress test on realbench and a 24hr test on aida64 as per Linus's recommendations). I decided to do a 15min stress test on real bench and it turns out that my verified overclock on v1402 is now unstable. Has the new microcode fix caused any instability for anyone else?!?
  14. Everyone should have an SSD in their pc because it cranks your pc to 11!
  15. I wanna try the Kova. It looks badass
  16. I have the 6700k over clocked to 4.6ghz. I verified the over clock for 24 hours in AIDA64, and in real bench for 4 hours. I had tomb raider crash the very first time I attempted to play it. It never crashed again after that. I thought that was unusual as I had installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 and the latest drivers for my gtx 980.
  17. Prime95 can override manual voltage settings in the bios. It can potentially fry your cpu as it will request more voltage than is allowed. It has nothing to do justifying unstable over clocks. It is a very real danger.
  18. "Unfortunately, you are not eligible for this offer."
  19. You sure? Cuz a 15 min stress test shows test successful. But this test didn't report anything sorry just want to be sure.
  20. So I barely joined the PC Master Race and built a Skylake rig. I followed Linus's overclocking guide and ran realbench for 4 hours. Can anyone tell me if the stress test was successful? It doesn't seem like the stress test finished so I'm doubting if it was successful. Sorry noob here
